I'm so excited to share with you some eyeshadow tips for deep set eyes! I've got to be honest I've never really loved how my eyeshadow looks because of my eye shape, but I started experimenting with placement and absolutely love how it turned out!

OMG! I swear I feel like you’re the first person to talk about MY eye shape. It’s exactly the same as yours. No one ever shows you what to do! So many videos saying they’re for deep set eyes but then you click and it’s not! All I see are so many amazing palettes and I can never use them because I have no idea what to do! I mean, it’s a really common eye shape but when you look on UA-cam you’d swear it was like one in a million people who have deep set eyes! Thank you, thank you, thank you! I totally agree! Ive felt very upset every time ive done eyeshadow the past 2 or 3 years and I could never understand why. Now I know. Really hoping this tutorial can help!
Often they turn out to be hooded eyes in those videos 🤷♀️ people confuse those 2 shapes.
Yes that's true,many ppl think they are one and the same. Mind are set back far in my head, recessed, sort of.

I'm 50 and I gave up on eye shadow years and years ago because no matter which colors I tried, traditional eye shadow placement always made my eyes look muddy, sunken and more "punched in" than usual. For most of my life, I've resigned myself to colored eyeliner and mascara only. I've watched so many tutorials that were supposedly for deep set eyes and most didn't offer any tips that would actually work for me. Your video really resonates with me. Thanks for the inspiration - I can't wait to experiment.

Oh wow! I’ve struggled with eyeshadow my whole life and now that I’m 53, unfortunately, my eyes have become even more deep set. I’d follow a tutorial and and my eyes would just look tired because I’d put the dark shade in the crease. This technique is so simple but revolutionary! Thank you!💖

I’m getting older now-68 and I am unable to wear the eyeliner that I used to wear because of chronic blepharitis. You are an angel, I've been in this battle of hating my deep set eyes because I can't do smokey eyes without looking scary unless I keep my inner corners light. Even with light natural makeup if lighting is bad in photos I literally look like I have dark hollow eye sockets. On the other hand, I've also thought of my deep set eyes as romantic and sultry when done right. Very Marilyn-esque ❤

I am 52 years old, and you can probably tell from my picture how deep set my eyes are. The older I got, and especially after being diagnosed with Lupus and R.A., it looked my eyes were sinking further into my head. Wearing makeup became such a challenge trying to fix the dark circles, I didn't even bother tackling the eye shadow problem. Ever since my teens, I didn't like the way eye shadow looked on me, so I only put it on for special occasions. Now, I wish I had seen this tutorrial sooner. Better late than never. Thank you!!!

Yes! I just analysed my eyes, I always thought I had hooded eyes but then I realised they weren't hooded at all. I completely misunderstood my eyes but I'm so glad I realised they were just deeper set. I was saying to myself"no there's no skin there you can see my eyelids very clearly, but my crease is so deep/dark!" Literally couldn't wear any make up that changed my eye shape like others do because my crease is so prominent. Thank you so much for this tutorial!!!

People confuse deep set as the eye shape and it's a featire not the actual shape, I have deep set and hooded which is even harder to do makeup on 😩. You guys with deep set big eyes are so lucky 😍

Loved this so much! I love eyeshadow but it all gets lost or muddy looking. I tried your way and I look 10 years younger! And it's so simple. My daughters are gorgeous and ones a vintage clothing model. I sometimes think why do I look great and a couple hours later my hard work was all for nothing. Not any more! I just found this and I love it. Always struggled with my eyeshadow because I have such deep set eyes. Can you do another one in pink shades? Please? There are virtually no tutorials on truely deep set eyes so any guidance is appreciated!!!!

Great video! Hooded eyes here too. Love the look. No fallout and better pigment - try Jeffree Star Orgy palette. It’s got all those colors and it’s like a Cadillac compared to a taxi.

Such a beautiful and natural look. I love brightening up the inner corner/under the brow where there can be a lot of shadow - it can really lift the eyes so much! The way you blended the crease color out and up to the brow bone looks so pretty and really makes your eyes look even bigger. 💖

Finally a tutorial on my eye shape! As well as deep set, I’m in my late 40’s so I feel like what looked good on me when I was younger no longer suits me! All the looks I’ve tried just do not seem to suit me or are unflattering when I look closely & especially in photos! Will try this look out next week! I have super deepset eyes with a very prominent brow bone. To top that off, my brows are further back. So much lower and upper eyelid. Makes it very hard to do shadows well. Can't find the right tutorial with my shape. My mom has the same eyes. She calls them bedroom eyes. This helps so much. Thank you 😊

I never understood why no matter how much eyeshadow I applied, it would kind of disappear or not show in photos. It’s because it would get lost in my deep creases lol! This is nice I will try it next time! Love your eyes they’re unique and beautiful.

I lost 50+ pounds and couldn’t figure out why my makeup wasn’t looking the same. Then I realized the fat I had in my lids was gone and I had more prominent brow bones now. This technique helped so much!! I can wear my shadows again and not feel like they are lost in the crease. Thank you!!

Eyeshadow has been the bane of my existence. I stopped using it for years because when I was young you only had women's magazines to learn from and those always had general tips that never worked for mine. A few years back I splurged on palettes, thinking that UA-cam could help me. Nu-uh... every deep set tutorial is either with hooded eyes, prominent eyes or very minimally deep set eyes.
Yours are deep set. Still not as deep set as my neanderthal browbone (I still have a shadow when my eyes are frigging closed! And you can only see my crease when I put my head so far back my skull touches my neck. My eyes are sunken), but I might be able to work with this!!
Please make a series with different colours, looks for the holidays or trends applied to DSE (deep set eyes).
We need to start a support group, people 😁. Deep Set Eyes Anonymous - for all your makeup frustrations🤣. (Every session we roast a UA-cam mua who does a video for deep set eyes with a wrong model. It'll be so therapeutic!)
Yes I never wore eyeshadow and had one palette for like 10 years lol...and everyone you watch always has the most perfect almond shaped eyes, even hooded eyes seem easier to work with then deep set eyes, I hate how deep mine are right in the corner on either side of my nose, I'm sure in the next 5-10 years mine will be even deeper set! I'll do my best to keep being creative with looks that compliment our eye shape! Thank you so much for the support 😘😘

I have very deep set eyes. Now that I’m 52, they are even more. I look better with no eye shadow. Think about it... why add more “shadow” to eyes that are naturally shadowed? In fact, my very brutally honest teenage daughter gave me a complement of sorts by saying that I actually look better when I don’t wear make up… But I think she was probably picking up on when I wear a lot of eyeshadow, it makes me look worse. I have now found that a little bit of tight lighting and mascara does the trick! Also, maybe just some concealer on the lids to brighten it up a bit. But overall I’ve learned to embrace my deep set eyes. That said, you are young and your idea of pushing back the brow bone I used to do when I was younger… But I will say, that less is more sometimes with deep set eyes. I like to think that they are just naturally beautiful...wink wink 😉

I lined my lips with M.A.C Oak as well as Annabelle eyebrow pencil in Taupe I find the mix of the two makes it more neutral and then I used a little bit of M.U.D makeup's Sandy beach 😘😘

I have the same eye shape and through trial and error also noticed that it looks best when I put a shade on my brow bone that pushes it back.

I have deep set eyes as well, and I have always hated eyeshadow because copying tutorials on UA-cam, for youtubers who never had a deep-set eyes, resulted in horrible eyeshadow and horrible makeup.

Omg, it's crazy to see someone just like me. Though I've always loved playing around with eyeshadow, I could _NEVER_ seem to recreate a look from makeup tutorials because the darker colors always got lost under my brow bone and it never looked right. Something I never knew was due to the shape of my eyes (which I also never realized were "deep set").
Plus, it almost felt like doing makeup with a friend because you didn't automatically bring out these expensive primers, shadows, liners, concealers and brushes (things I could never afford) and that alone just made me immediately subscribe because you just seem so relatable. When I say "drugstore cosmetics", I'm talking brands from, as a perfect example, Walmart (and not something I'd have to order online). I say this because literally every videoslll say they're using nothing but "Drugstore makeup", yet the only place they shopped was _Ulta_ (which is WAY out of my price range). 😮💨😒
I need Something for women like me who can't afford more than the basics from Walmart (I mean, hell. I don't even know how to contour my face. Yes, I'm pitiful. I know) have no idea how to contour my face. My nose is super narrow, my eyes are very close together, and I'm just a hot mess. 🤣

I have deep set eyes & high cheek bones that almost make my eyes look deeper, I'm going save your tutorial & have a go see if I can recreate your look on myself. Wish I'd of learnt all this when I was younger though.

Do all of you with deep set eyes also feel like putting dark liner on your waterline makes your eyes look more sunken in and just odd?
I have deep set eyes and my trick is to start with the darker colour and kind of draw it on above the crease with a pencil brush (similar placement as you already do) and then blend upwards with lighter colours. Then apply light beige right under to accentuate the cut a little like you do, but leave the rest of the mobile lid bare so the shimmer sticks better to the sticky eye base.
I definitely find if I put mascara on my lower lashes my eyes look more deep set, thank you for sharing your tips 🥰🥰😘😘😘

Good tutorial! It's such a struggle finding videos for this eye type. I've been trying to play with makeup more but have really struggled with eyeshadow because every time I do it I end up looking tired!
I have just started this same technique with shadowing the brow and brightening the lid. I really want to use more colour so that's my next challenge. I'll be watching you to see what you can come up with. Haha!

I stumbled across your channel while searching for 'makeup for deep set eyes'. Like yourself, I have struggled for years finding the right technique for my deep set eyes. I can't just blob on dark shadow in the crease the way many you-tubers do. And, I am now entering my early 50s so my eyelids are changing texture a bit.
