Like so many other commenters have mentioned, there’s not many tutorials on UA-cam for deep set eyes that aren’t hooded. Lots of hooded eye tutorials but that’s actually quite a different thing than deep set eyes, now I understand much better that cut creases really don’t work on us and you explained it very well, thank you!
deepset gang! i appreciate the placement suggestion here. it gives me hope! if i don't work with that space above the crease my whole effort and look gets swallowed right up in my lid fold.
I always had troubles finding good eye shadow tutorials for deep set eyes and most makeup looks look way different on this type of eyes than the final look of said tutorial. Done a ton of experimenting myself and I am so glad to find your channel! Your makeup looks are impeccable and I am so happy I get to try them myself and they will actually look really good. Keep up the good work! Love from a fellow Romanian!

Thank you! Best tutorials I have seen for deep set and round eyes...you gave some great points beyond what I've been intuitively doing. Your personality is adorable, I hope your channel grows a lot!
So hard to find someone with my eyes doing makeup. You explained perfectly. We can’t get away from the cut crease bc we have a natural cut crease already. Almost feels like eyeshadow is trying to make our eyes look like what we have naturally. But it suck’s bc color gets lost in the hollow. Can make it look cute when eyes are open but a hot mess when the eyes are closed or Vice versa.
I was watching a video a long time ago, forget who it was, it was a Latino male who was a MUA, he said that we're the lucky ones because our eyeshadow is visible all the time. I needed that encouragement.
@@msallnitechemist it is visible, unless it's in the crease 😂 graphic liners for instance are a bit trickier, but I guess it's not a look everyone wants to go for
Thank you for confirming that I have deep set eyes! I have deep sockets (as my sister calls them), darkness near the inner corner and the area under my eye is similarly sunken. I had to laugh when you talked about cut creases because whenever I’ve tried one I look ridiculous, like I have two creases…NOT the look I’m going for! 😂 I’m excited to look through more of your content!
I guess a cut crease could work if you follow your natural shape of the crease, but it would only accentuate what you already have so I don’t really see the point 🤭 thanks a lot for watching ❤️
discovering your channel made me so happy because i want to try interesting looks too but what influencers do just doesn't work on my eye shape. thank you for explaining this! ❤️
I’ve struggled with understanding the correct placement of eyeshadow for my eyes. I always assumed that I had hooded eyes and they are due to my having deep set eyes. You did a great job explaining deep set eyes ~ your eyeballs are set further back in the skull! I don’t know if I have close set eyes but I definitely don’t have wide set eyes. I especially hate seeing girls with wide set eyes placing dark shades strictly on the outer portion of their crease! It makes them look like an alien 👽 Their eyes look so far away from their nose and it freaks me out! I get that they think they are following a “modern “ makeup trend. When bell bottom jeans were in; I understood they would look terrible on me. I was so glad to hear when skinny jeans came back! You have to do you & forget trends! Idea 💡 what if we all started a new trend? Let’s do what looks best for us❣️😉❤️

Thank you! Great tutorial and you’re so gorgeous! What do you think of eyelash extensions for deep set eyes? I just had some applied and they don’t look to great. I think people often confuse the term deep set with hooded eyes which, of course, they are not the same. Thank you for any guidance you might provide on lash extensions.
@@sandrade6148 I never had lash extensions, but in terms of false eyelashes I like the ones that are shorter on the inner part/middle of the eye and longer on the outer corner (I believe that could be done with extensions as well). Also something a bit wispy, I think the goal is not to darken the lid with very dense/full lashes
I would like to know in your opinion what is the difference between deep set eyes and hooded eyes? I think I have both!! Loved your channel! Do you have any videos for this particular set of eyes? Thank you!!!
@@sandraekhoff8937 deep set eyes are when the eye is deeper in the eye socket (kind of pushed back) - this results in a prominent bone above the lid and a very defined crease. Hooded eyes on the other hand is when the lid is covered by the tissue above it, causing the lid to appear smaller/entirely covered when you relax your eyes. I unfortunately don’t really have tutorials on hooded eyes, because my lids are not hooded, but the main advice I would give to a person with hooded eyes would be to take the eyeshadow upper than usual, so it will be visible with the eyes open. Same for eyeliner, especially eyeliner should be traced with the eyes open to go over the eye “fold”
Thank you! 💞 I personally wouldn't go without mascara, maybe pick one that separates really well and doesn't load the lashes? that way it won't darken your lid
Your eye shape is similar to mine, as well as how deep set it is, I just have a lower brow. For years I've been looking for makeup styles that would fit my eyes, but the creators I used to watch never had a similar eyes and my eyes would always look far more sunken in when I tried those looks. I guess I have deep set eyes as well. I've always called them hooded eyes but I like the way deep set eyes sounds. Not as derogatory. No matter what, deep set, hooded, close set or round, you have beautiful eyes and nothing is wrong with em. Nothing wrong with enhancing their beauty and doing what is flattering on them but it should be said that these eye characteristics are perfectly fine and very beautiful in their own unique way!🌺💕
You are right 💕I was inspired to create this video after I attempted to help someone on reddit that had deep set eyes and didn't know how to place the shadows, just in case it might help out some beginners 🥰
@@ralucamakeup well that's really sweet of you. It is a great tutorial. I find that you have a great talent with make up. All the while understanding and creating looks that are flattering.
What all my deep set eye girlies fail to realize, is we have what all the other girls are attempting to achieve by using eyeshadow. My eyes are always in shadow, I use a lot of highlighting shadow to bring my eyes out.
I appreciate this tutorial and your explanations! I think you have deep set + hooded eyes because when your eyelid is relaxed, the "back" of your eyelid is hidden. I have eyelids that are fully visible when relaxed. I'm of Asian heritage (and associated skin and undertone) but I don't have a monolid, so trying to find a deep set tutorial has been impossible. I agree with you that shimmers are the way to go if you have deep set eyes. You really just have to experiment with lots of different lighter shades. I've found orange and gold shades look best on me but it was only have much trying, buying a lot of palettes, and discouragement.
Ohh, I thought all deep set eyes have a slightly hidden part (the crease area). Thanks for explaining this to me! ❤️ In term of tones, I love experimenting with lots of shades, my favorite on myself are olive greens and golds ✨
I also have eyes like you, the shape and the size. THE worst type of makeup that does not work for me is those clean, shaarp looks with eyeliner. It just doesn't look pretty and it clashes with my eyes. This is what works for me also: simple smokey eyes! :)
Any tips on strip lashes for deepset eyes? When I get lash extensions I do doll eye because cat eye looks heavy. Is there anything to look for with falsies? Thanks!!
I never had issues with any style of lash, maybe you can search for a style that resembles the extensions you get? Usually for me I would avoid really fluffy styles so they won't darken my lid & go for something wispy instead
My eyes are so deep that it’s just an eyeball and then brow bone🗿. You’ll see the lid when I’m sleeping. My brow space is so small that I’d have to color over my eyebrows for the shadow to be seen 😑
