My eyes are exactly like yours. I’ve spent so much time on UA-cam watching applications that look like crap on me but beautiful on them. This is a miracle for me and so much easier. It’s made a world of difference. Thank you so much✌️❤️
It looks better on camera but as a person with deep set eyes I know from experience that don’t version looks shit in rl. Maybe if it was done on both eyes you would see
I like the don’t side better. You look more vibrant, younger and refreshed. The do side doesn’t look that bad but to me it seems to make you look more tired.
I am 48 years old and my eye shape is almost identical to yours. I’ve been scouring UA-cam for years, looking for tutorials on how to do my eye makeup. This is the first tutorial I’ve seen that I know will actually work for me. Thank you so much for sharing. Can’t wait to try it.
.... YOU'RE 48??? I'm being really honest right now, you look like you're not a day over 30 😅 I wish I will look as good as you when I get "older" (no, you're not old, but you get what I mean❤️)
Shit, I totally agree. It looks like literally you’re wearing less make up on the don’t eye and the amount of makeup you’re wearing on the do I looks heavy.
Thank you! As some one with acquired deep set eyes too I can appreciate that the “don’t” side is still great for evening and the “do”side gives a brighter more awake day look 😘
Best tutorial for deep set eyes I’ve seen so far❤ I am 71, do not have hooded eyes!, and have few wrinkles (thanks to genetics and good skincare.) This is excellent. 🎉
I totally agree!! I have deep set eyes, very similar to yours, through trial and error over many years, I do my makeup very similar, but not as well. I am so happy I found your video, the “do” and “don’t” was so helpful, because I used to follow the same “rules” as the “don’t” side. I also appreciate you being normal in your demonstration, not dragging it out with too much talking like so many others who just love to hear their own voice!!!
I think the right eye the “don’t eye” looks so much better! I do understand the concept you’re saying.. and you’re beautiful but that’s just my opinion!
I think both eyes look really pretty. I have the same type of eyes and I’ve been experimenting with eyeshadow lately too as being older I can’t apply it the same way as when I was younger. I think your ‘don’t’ eye looks very open because you put that pop of shimmer in the centre creating a halo eye. Also if you put a bit of shimmer in the inner corner that opens up that eye too.🥰💜
OMG! Thank you so much for this side-by-side do's/don'ts. I've been struggling with this exact issue and have watched countless videos. Yours has been the most helpful to me.
This is such a helpful tutorial for we who have deep set eyes. It really shows me that deep set eyes have the dark shadowing that other eye shaped people use make up to achieve!
This is exactly what I've been looking for... my eyes are identical to yours and i have such a hard time with eyeshadows now that im a little older. This really helps me realize what I've been doing and not doing. 😊
The “don’t” eye looks more open, rounder, more lifted to me. The “do” eye looks narrowed. I don’t think that your eyes are as deep set as you perceive them to be. You have a lot of lid space to work with. Using a slightly lighter color on your lid, while contouring the crease, a bit onto the brow bone would look great on you. You have an eye shape that many women wish they had!
Oof, thank you for the video!! I honestly JUST heard the term 'deep set eyes' and Im like OMG - no wonder I've felt like eye make up has never been something that looks right on me. It's soooo foreign to me. I'm experimenting now and this discovery of these concepts is so validating. I too had been realizing I need to just keep the darkness at the very corner of my eye, and I also think shadowing more heavy along the bottom actually might be a good way for me... we'll see, I might be totally wrong. thank you for your ideas!! :)
It's amazing the difference in your eyes at the end. Although I will say throughout the video I was someone who also said the don't side looks good until I saw the end result of both. Both sides together was messing with me because it looked as though you had a lazy eye but it's just the difference between the 2. One side looks open and the other looks closed off. This helped me a ton. Thank you so much.
Your don’t side seems to be more youthful in my opinion. You are stunning either way, but it seems the lighter shadow actually emphasize how sunk in the eye lid is. Which I’ve noticed with myself as well
You ma'am are a lifesaver. I always did my make up 'the right way' too and I always hated the way it looked, not realizing I had deep set eyes. This video is super helpful!
Really helpful. age 64. You have really pointed out all the mistakes I have been making. I was just doing what I have always done for the last 45 years. Thank you so much
wish i had as much lid space, so much fun!! im in my 20s but with hooded, deep set eyes. i love playing with makeup but i find it so hard to apply shadow in a way that enhances instead of distracts.
First…wow. Totally blew me away with new info. Btw..this is a compliment..you should use your voice to help people fall asleep. Bedtime stories for adults. There really is a need for people like me who need to listen to someone talk in order to go to sleep. Your voice and manner is so soothing. 💕
I was thinking the same as one of the top comments said: Is one eye supposed to look better than the other? 'Cause they both look beautiful!! They've been made into completely different shapes though, which is exactly the tips I'm taking away from this video. Bravo! Thank you so much for sharing : )
Thank you! I’ve had all those problems and now I know I have deep set eyes, I think I was in denial. Every time I do my eyes they look heavy. Plus, my lids are naturally dark but my brows are light. I did identify with the problems you mentioned so your tips were very helpful and confirming.
I felt the exact same feelings when I realized my eye shape! and I have so many videos showing you how to enhance the beauty of deep set eyes 😘😘 Thank you for watching 🥰
I completely see what you are saying but I think both eyes looked great. With your eye color I think both sides pop. I do my eye like your “do” but find where I put that light color on the inner lid makes it look like I have all this big blank space which I guess I shouldn’t complain about.
My eyes are just like yours and I have not yet found a happy place with makeup however both your eyes look pretty in a different way. The don't eye definitely looks open/bigger. I do not think it made a difference in the depth perception of either eye. Thank you for sharing. Stay beautiful!
This is really helpful! I actually stay away from eyeshadow because I have deeper set eyes with not a ton of space between my brows and eyelids. But I'm going to try out your tips!
I too have deep set eyes and I 'm trying to find a technique that would make my brow bone look less protruding. However having watched this tutorial I am still not sure what I should do because I prefer the don't side. The eye on this side looks more lifted and larger. The do side makes the eye look smaller and droopy.
Hi Catherine, thank you for watching! I have so many other tutorials on my channel for deep set eyes! Check them out, there will definitely be some techniques that will help you out 😘😘 there are many who prefer the "don't" side and realistically if you you enjoy the look follow what I did on that side 😉 we all have a personal preferences and it's just makeup. There are no actual rules, the "don't" side also shows up better on camera then it does in person. Hope that helps 🙏🏼 have a wonderful day 💓
Your tips were very helpful in updating my go-to eye routine, but I just have to tell you that betwren your natural beauty and skillful application, even the don't side is quite striking, and honestly, favorable IMO. However, it does somewhat get the point across that one darker colors can emphasize deeper features, and care should be taken to avoid tnis--you just did too good of a job on the "bad" side to illustrate what someone with less practice might run into. Thank you!❤
So I’m a professional makeup artist and this is just from what I have learnt from the years of training and experience of shadow placement on all eye shapes! So firstly the “do eye” the colour you’ve chosen in my opinion is too light around the crease it just emphasises it and brings it forward. Light colour bring forward and darker colours push back! So the “don’t eye” you did the right thing by putting the darker colour in the crease as this pushes it back. What you did wrong again only in my opinion you did wrong in my opinion is you used it all over the lid as well! What I would have done is deepen the socket with the darker eye colour and on the outer corner there are two shapes you can do either a ‘V’ shape for a more winged out look or a ‘C’ shape for a more rounded look! Whatever you choose to do you are keeping it to the outer corner then the next colour you blend a lighter colour basically the next colour down from the darker shade so if you’ve used a dark brown for the crease and outer corner the next colour would be a mid tone brown from the darker colour into middle of your socket and the last colour would be a light cream colour so you are keeping that inner corner up to the middle of your socket nice and bright this will open your eye! These are just tips and tricks I’ve learnt you can do whatever you like as it’s your own preference that counts! I hope you understand what I mean from how I’ve explained it! Xxx
Thank you so much for your input Louise 🥰😘😘 yes I have so many other videos using the techniques you suggested in your comment 🥰 thank you again for watching and sharing
@susancarrigan4683 hey Susan, so I was faithfully using my Annabelle eyebrow pencil in the shade "Taupe" first to line my lips and then Stripdown by M.A.C over top 😉
Danielle-just came across your channel and subscribed. I'm 60 and recently lost 100 pounds. Helllllo sunken eyes lol! You really gave some great pointers especially avoiding cool tones near the crease - which I have had a tendency to do. Can't wait to give your suggestions a whirl. Thanks for the great video and looking forwarding to watching many more! Take care...Joanna 🌸
That was so detailed and great to see. I'm going to do this everyday now. When i'm in a hurry somehow i always revert to the old way of doing it, like from high school and it looks messy, i get what you're saying. I have the same deep set shape as you, but hooded so it's quite challenging. You are beautiful tho with your eyes done either way!
Thank you very very! I appreciate it 🙏🏼 just keep experimenting with different eyeshadow placements on your eyes, blend, blend, blend and have fun with it 😘😘
Thank you so much for posting! You are super gorgeous and you have probably heard so many times from others on how grateful they are for you to pay these videos. My eyes are a similar shape and I have been avoiding eyeshadows ever though I love them. I will be trying this out 💚
Just randomly found your channel. I like both eyes. This for sure helped me with using eyeshadow. I feel they each have a different vibe that looks very pretty on you. Anyway new sub !!
The eyes looks more opened and doe-eyed. I think that adding full mascara to top and bottom opens the eyes more. I would love to see full mascara on the top and bottom of the do eye
Thank you for watching 🥰 I did another video adding full mascara to the top of the lash. I think that's what it needed as well 😘😘 ua-cam.com/video/fkDbqcSfoZA/v-deo.html
I have hazel to brown eyes and my skin in general is light/medium cool. Can you recommend a color palette for every day and my deep set eyes. I am nearly 60.
I would say some neutrals that have more of a reddish maroon undertone in them to bring out the green in your hazel eyes. Also pink and greens would probably look really nice too 😘😘
As someone with exactly the same shape eye, and a Makeup Artist, they both look beautiful and not incorrect, they are just a different style of Eye Look.
And you have every right to love them 😘just like I have every right to create looks that I love and prefer on myself 🥰 Many people prefer the "Don't" side, and that's totally valid. Everyone has different tastes and preferences. ❤️🙏🏼
I have deep set small eyes. This is a great video for me. What can I do for my very sparse lashes. I'd like not necessarily longer lashes, just ,,, more. False lashes are not made for my small eyes even cutting them down. 😞 what do you reccomend ?
I’ve been struggling with this same thing this year- I have large deep set eyes and have lost the underlying fat that helps so much in making your eyes/face, look more youthful…. Sigh..
Right!!! And it happens so quickly too, between my eyes and now my jowls I don't know which is worse lol! Hopefully I'll have some videos that will help you out with eyeshadow placement 😘😘 thank you for watching 🥰
I’m confused if light-colored eyeshadow looks good on my deep-set eyes? When I wear anything darker than my natural skin tone, (which is slightly darker on my eyelids) my eyes look like two bullet holes, so I don’t know what to do… 🤷♀️ Dark eyeshadow looks great on you, though! ❤
Yes of course! I prefer light colors on my lid and in my crease 😘😘 I like to keep darker to the out corner if I wear it. Usually I like to stick to lighter tones as well 🤗
I find both of your eyes makeup beautiful: your left eye is more "femme fatale" great for night time, in contrast to your right eye makeup which is elegant, ideal for day time. My eyes are like yours -it is a blessing even though it may not feel like that😞, and used to do my eye makeup like your left eye. No suitable for me at this age 😒Thank you, gorgeous lady!
This seems like it might work for me! I’ve tried lots of tutorials & feel like I look like a raccoon & wash the makeup off. I was told as a teen by makeup person to do ALL of the “don’t” techniques. -- Also, I FWD through makeup tutorials over 10mins & often watch at 2x speed
Thank you Yoshi! I have an updated video of Do's and Don'ts you would like as well. I always hated the way my eyeshadow looked as well, my eyes looks so sunken in when there is too much darkness in the crease and inner corner. Let me know how it goes 🥰😘
Oh my goodness.. I finally found an “eye twin”, lol - my eyes are so similar and I can’t really find UA-camrs with the same shape eyes -at least that I can tell -I’m actuality didn’t realize that my eyes were ‘deep set” duh! - now to find my skin tone twin - that’s still a struggle 😅
My deep set eyes look small and tired nowadays so I hopped on to see what I could find. I really thought your left eye was going to be the “do “🙈 I thought it really popped compared to the other.
I’m having the hardest time with my eyes bc I have a drooping lid in the inner corner area of my lid from Botox 😢 I can not figure out how to do my eyes now 🤦♀️
Your old make up is much more beautiful than the new style. It accentuates natural shapes. Whereas the new method, I can't get past how your brow area looks swollen like you were hit there...equivalent of a fat lip, but on your brow. You should always embrace what you have, not hide it anyways.
Thanks Sarah, your thoughtful and endearing comments mean the world to me 🥰 it's really helpful! I hope you have a spectacular day! Filled with all the joy you've filled my heart with 🤗🤗🤗
My eyes are exactly like yours. I’ve spent so much time on UA-cam watching applications that look like crap on me but beautiful on them. This is a miracle for me and so much easier. It’s made a world of difference. Thank you so much✌️❤️

I agree!
honestly the don’t side makes you look a lot younger and i like it a lot more. but it’s up to you :)
It does come up better on camera, I was thinking to myself it doesn't look half bad lol, 🤔 thank you for watching and your comment 😘😘
I was going to say that. I actually like the don’t better.
Have to say I actually prefer the don’t too
It looks better on camera but as a person with deep set eyes I know from experience that don’t version looks shit in rl. Maybe if it was done on both eyes you would see
@@RaraAviss you're exactly right!!! 💯 thank you for commenting 🥰🥰🥰😘😘
Am I the only one who likes the "don't" side better? 😀 That eye looks bigger, more open and brighter.
Thank you for watching😘😘! You're not the only one lol! The "Don't" shows better on camera then in person 🤭...
I agree 😅
I thought the downside was the correct side at first
Same here!
So glad I saw these responses as I was beginnining to think I was the only one who always like the "don't" side better.

Thank you so much for posting! You are super gorgeous and you have probably heard so many times from others on how grateful they are for you to pay these videos. My eyes are a similar shape and I have been avoiding eyeshadows ever though I love them. I will be trying this out 💚
Appreciate it so much Jasmine 🙏🏼 thank you so much for your kind words ❤️
this is fantastic!!
Just randomly found your channel. I like both eyes. This for sure helped me with using eyeshadow. I feel they each have a different vibe that looks very pretty on you. Anyway new sub !!
Thank you so much Gwendolyn 💓 appreciate it 🥰😘
The eyes looks more opened and doe-eyed. I think that adding full mascara to top and bottom opens the eyes more. I would love to see full mascara on the top and bottom of the do eye
Thank you for watching 🥰 I did another video adding full mascara to the top of the lash. I think that's what it needed as well 😘😘

Having deepest eyes with a lot of brow bone Realestate I often take my blush and tap a bit of the color on that extra brow bone area.
Yes 🥰 such a great tip 😘😘
The eye that I liked even before seeing the video was the don’t eye…glad I wasn’t the only one
Thanks for sharing your tips my friend, you can really see a difference! Hope you're having a fabulous weekend! 😊
Thank you Mel 😊💓
I like the don't side
Like you, I didn't always have deep set eyes, and I've been trying to figure out what I was doing wrong. Thank you for this video.
Thank you 😘 I am happy found it helpful 😊
Hi Danielle, I would love to hear your suggestions on tight lining. I get so much transfer that it ends up looking messy. Thanks for considering!
I will definitely add it into a video maybe alternatives to just eyeliner 😘
I like both looks on you
Light color in crease is good 👍
I have hazel to brown eyes and my skin in general is light/medium cool.
Thank you! Just my personal preference, thank you for sharing 😀
Hey, that brush that you're using for concealer- it looks like it works fabulously! Can you give us a link? :)

@@AwkwardlyDbeauty Thank you so much! I have huge, googly deepset eyes, and I was only doing concealer in the corners. Great tips! :)
@@AwkwardlyDbeauty Thank you!!
@@carascottvo 🥰😘😘
I love my deep set eyes. And never try to mask them. I like the don't side also.
And you have every right to love them 😘just like I have every right to create looks that I love and prefer on myself 🥰
Many people prefer the "Don't" side, and that's totally valid. Everyone has different tastes and preferences. ❤️🙏🏼
Great video !!
Thank you 😊
I have deep set small eyes.
@@AwkwardlyDbeauty TY so much🌺🩷
id like to see some videos for udner eye hollows that are more annoying that the deep set eyelids which i think it is just a plus:))
Usually I like to stick to lighter tones as well 🤗
Thank you .
Thank-you for being here 🥰
The dont side makes your eye look far more open, bigger and lifted. The other side is nice too though.
Thank you 🥰🥰🥰
I find both of your eyes makeup beautiful: your left eye is more "femme fatale" great for night time, in contrast to your right eye makeup which is elegant, ideal for day time. My eyes are like yours -it is a blessing even though it may not feel like that😞, and used to do my eye makeup like your left eye. No suitable for me at this age 😒Thank you, gorgeous lady!
Thank you for your kind words 🙏🏼 ❤️ I appreciate it very much 🥰😘😘
I like the “don’t” side a lot better!
To be honest, both sides look nice on you. The don't side looks more suitable for evening.
What kind of brush are you using for the concealer?
Deluxe crease brush from Real techniques
Love this. You do such a beautiful job with your eyes. Simply stunning. Loved the tips Danielle 🙌🏻🍑🧡Lisa
Thank you beautiful lady 😘
@@AwkwardlyDbeauty 🍑🙌🏻🧡
The old look is more lifting to your face
I still like it!
Thank you 😊 💓 😘😘
I like the left eye best.
This seems like it might work for me! I’ve tried lots of tutorials & feel like I look like a raccoon & wash the makeup off. I was told as a teen by makeup person to do ALL of the “don’t” techniques.

Also, I FWD through makeup tutorials over 10mins & often watch at 2x speed
Thank you Yoshi! I have an updated video of Do's and Don'ts you would like as well. I always hated the way my eyeshadow looked as well, my eyes looks so sunken in when there is too much darkness in the crease and inner corner. Let me know how it goes 🥰😘
@@AwkwardlyDbeauty thank you!!! You “Do” side looked great! I’m going to try it!!! 🤞🏽
Honestly I like more don’t on you, but thank you for the tips very useful😊
Thank you for watching 🥰😘😘
Oh my goodness.. I finally found an “eye twin”, lol - my eyes are so similar and I can’t really find UA-camrs with the same shape eyes -at least that I can tell -I’m actuality didn’t realize that my eyes were ‘deep set” duh! - now to find my skin tone twin - that’s still a struggle 😅
I am so happy to hear that! This made my day 🥰😘😘 I have so many videos on my channel specifically for our eye shape 😁 thank you so much!
I really liked the don'ts side, to be honest!
You're not the only one 😉
ua-cam.com/video/fkDbqcSfoZA/v-deo.htmlsi=zkqJM228OJexPUMf this is another version I did as well 😊
I find the lighter side u can see the creases more and under eye circles
waw impressive the difference you got
Thank you 🥰🥰🥰
My deep set eyes look small and tired nowadays so I hopped on to see what I could find. I really thought your left eye was going to be the “do “🙈 I thought it really popped compared to the other.
Lots of viewers preferred the left eye 😉
I have many more videos on my channel tailored to deep set eyes if you need some more inspiration 😘😘
Your deep set eye is actually a trick done for close set eyes so it is making your eye look not as close to the other eye
Thank you for watching 🥰
What products are you using in this video?
I used the Natasha Denona Glam Palette :) I'll do my best to list the products I use
I’m having the hardest time with my eyes bc I have a drooping lid in the inner corner area of my lid from Botox 😢 I can not figure out how to do my eyes now 🤦♀️
Try a soft taupe shade all over the lid and brow bone, and a very light neutral in the inner corner bottom lash line 😘😘
The don't side looks better, imho. The eye looks bigger 😻
🥰 a lot of people prefer the "Don't" side 😉
… the don’t side is better. Is this a trick?
Just personal preference 🙂 thank you for watching!
awesome video:)
Thank you
The don’t side is more beautiful 🤩
Thank you 😘
Ufff
Finally I got it .
Thank you so much 🥰
Thank you for watching💖💖
The don’t side looks better.
Yes same here. My eyelids weren't deep set either now they are. Age really gets ya😁
I actually feel the darker side looks better
Your old make up is much more beautiful than the new style. It accentuates natural shapes. Whereas the new method, I can't get past how your brow area looks swollen like you were hit there...equivalent of a fat lip, but on your brow. You should always embrace what you have, not hide it anyways.
Thanks Sarah, your thoughtful and endearing comments mean the world to me 🥰 it's really helpful!
I hope you have a spectacular day! Filled with all the joy you've filled my heart with 🤗🤗🤗
