Elle, it's great to have someone do a video that truly addresses deep set eyes. So many people really don't get it - they're not the same as hooded eyes, although you can have some hooding due to age on a deep set eye. Deep set eyes can have decent lid space (I do, even though I am quite advanced in age and am deleveloping some hooding). As you point out, though, the eye is recessed into the socket. I would really appreciate knowing exactly which of the Merle Norman eye pencils you used - I've visited the website, and I can't really tell which one corresponds to the one in your video. I am constantly on the hunt for a liner for tightlining the upper lashline, as you demonstrate here (and trying to avoid the upper waterline, i.e. staying in between the lashes). Great video!

I really like your method it makes sense and thank you so much for sharing your expertise with us. I tried it this morning and I like it a lot because it opens my eyes and eyes don't look tired but I have a quick question: do you recommend applying concealer on eyelids? Or eye primer is better if so, I need to apply eye primer higher on the lids. Please do advance demo re deep set eyes and we appreciate and thank you so much for your time.

I have both deep and hooded, small eyes that are close together. I can't use a regular lash curler because my eyes are set back so far that my cheek is in the way. I have to use one that goes straight in.

I have the same problem! Even the rephr eyelash curler which was supposed to be less concave so as to fit into deep set eyes -- I can't get that one in either. They all hit the curve by the inner part of my eye / nose area.
I use the Shiseido lash curler, very good as it does not snag my skin although I still have to ve careful.

Hey girl. I’m one of your deep set eye girls, but I also have big eyes, so I do a smoked out wing with a brush and bring it in to the lid about a 1/4 of the way and just smoke it up leaving the rest of the lid light color like you showed us today.. I would also do my water line. But for the wing I use a damp brush and dip into my eye shadow because the pencil skips. Or put the color from the pencil on the brush . Would love a more advanced look. Xoxox’s

thnak you for this video : ) I have deep set eyes and a lot of space between the lids and brows so I normally use a darker color on the bone, I blend it with a lighter color then blend that one with a lighter color like going up. Is that the best approach? because I normally don't know what to do with all that protruding bone area.
yes any darker color with be best to blend that area

Thank you for the deep set eyes tutorial. Would it be possibile to do a tutorial on someone who actually has deep set eyes? That would be very helpful.
Unfortunately I don't do clients anymore
i've practiced this and find it does make quite a difference in my made-up look. However, I do have very sensitive eyes, also, and most of the current eye pencils make my eyes water when I try to line under my lash line. I tear up and that makes the pencil wash away. Any helpful suggestions or recommendations to make this better?

@@sherrywallis7718 hmmm not sure what else is on the market. Maybe just powder shadow. First dip your brush in water then in the powder
ID like to see some videos for hollow under eyes, i think that putting blush under the eyes doesnt suit me , etc. And deep set eyes are beautyiful, like PEnelope cruz has them, i dont get it what to hide there..;D

Should the light color be lighter than my skin tone, the same as my skin tone or just lighter than the color on my brow bone?
you can do either but usually a shade lighter is better
Can you suggest a flatter eyelash curler for deep-set eyes? Some of them are so curved that I can’t even reach my eyelashes with them.

Every artist does hooded eyes! We need deep set eye tutorials. Mine are so deep and hollow. No eyelash curler can reach my lashes because of the bones. 🙄
