This 76 year-old lady can’t begin to tell you how much I enjoy watching the construction. My daddy was a carpenter and so was my grandpa and my uncle and my older brother and it brings back such fun memories of going to their works sites.
I really liked the way you got the fascia on and straight and level. It was fun to watch! I like to watch you getting things right! The way you make decisions is really a mixture of madcap and exactitude. How you solve problems is really striking!
Hello Perkins brothers and team. My name is Jaime and greetings from Chile. I work in IT but my hobby is carpentry and I have a small workshop where I entertain myself. I really enjoy your videos and I send you all my best regards. 😃😃😃
Best Lines of the of the video. Jamie: "It's got to hold the roofer and 4 of his best buds." Jason: "You didn't know what you knew but you knew it." Love the content. Happy Holiday fellas.
You guys are hilarious....and smart all at the same time. I'm a project manager in commercial construction, and deal with drawing issues daily, almost hourly. You all cope with these issues so well, with some laughter mixed in. That's hard to do sometimes. I really enjoy your videos.
With so many builder videos to watch on UA-cam, I've settled on just two .. Perkins Bro's and Jays Way .. Seriously the energy, and brotherhood goes beyond the work of building .. Thank you for letting us build with you ..
Lmao i get a good laugh every time I watch this build & Jamie has an eagle eye it's as good as a string line !! Yal do awesome work because yal take pride in your trade !! That good to watch !! Everyone stay safe & have a HAPPY THANKSGIVING DAY
Ah. You guys are great. We got two (2!) "Thanks for building with us!" :) BTW, it's really amazing to see how you quickly adjust your plans and innovate (as with Jamie (Jaime?) did with opening that door) to meet the needs of your client. Incidentally, I really enjoyed watching the latest compiled video (of Ramelle's house.) I watched the original build series but it was just as enjoyable to watch the whole build altogether. Watching them each way has its advantages. Thanks! Be sure to always let us know when these become available. I think I've missed a few. Now I need to go back and watch those.
Pro Tip: When you're trying to straighten a wall, use a string line set off each end by about 1". Then, in the middle, push or pull the wall in until it is also 1". I use this method on decks all the time. :)
Given how high the garage roof is, I’m not sure a 4’ overhang will keep rain out. And Eric, glad to see you using earmuffs rather than, or in addition to, those earplugs!
Y'all should be really proud of yourselves building that house like the Amish build barns. They don't have cranes to help move wood around, it's mere strength of the team.
Did you install some of them upside down? Put the 3/4 inch runoff on the bottom? Also, here a cantilever requires 2 feet in for each 1 foot out so you would need 8 feet in, and you have a little under 6.
On the next video in this series I want to see Erik wearing those safety glasses with a red & white striped wool beanie with a red & white striped shirt 😁. Loving this series, this home is coming along amazingly
We watch every episode. Thank you for sharing all the fun, tips, and knowledge. We love every bit of your content. I'm saving loot for a belt for sure. You all are amazing
I think you’re right about the cantilever. In my area, the building official accepted a 2:1 in vs out without an engineer. Meaning for a 4 foot cantilever, you would need 8’ attached to the joists inside.
Next time for flat roofs buy furring strips, they are specially made for flat roofs, that will avoid the extra work you had to do with the cantilever roof- just check out furring strips!
Could you do a quick demonstration on setting up the new perkins tool belt? I had the older version but sent it back because I couldn't figure out how to get the pouches secured the right way. Thanks. Really enjoying your videos.
Any chance of some bigger builder belt sizes in the future? Some of us construction guys are big BIG BIIIIG fellas.... LOL...Maybe a XL or XXL size? Gotta get around the big ol' gut hanging out there. I hope to one day lose enough weight to fit in one, but that'll be a while.. lol.
LOL, I remember when I used to do ordering for Solar Projects and I would always be 95% confident that we had everything we needed... Never counted but I ALWAYS had enough.
Awesome job guys, Jaime worked his butt off on the concrete, not that Erik and Jay didn't on the overhang, but I would have hated to do what Jaime did.
Those safety glasses remind me of Jamie Heinamans safety glasses from Myth Busters. Beats the heck out of 'squint safety'! LOL! Cantilever code, as far as I'm aware is 2:1. So if you have 3' on the outside, you need 6' on the inside. I could be wrong about that, it's been 10+ years since I built my house. Still, that's a really cool house you guys have built. I agree with the roofer :)
didnt know ray was a type 1 diabetic , respect to him grafting away with diabetes,, been waiting months for my libra device fitted but uk doctors drag there heels
William G. Allen also patented a method of cold-forming screw heads around a hexagonal die (U.S. patent 960,244). Published advertisements for the "Allen safety set screw" by the Allen Manufacturing Company of Hartford, Connecticut, exist from 1910
A great tool for cutting that concrete sill would have been a concrete cutting chain saw. Stihl makes one GS 461 Rock Boss, cuts 1/2" rebar reinforced concrete.
Love you guys and always wanted to have one of your tool belts. But sadly these international shipping costs are insane. I’m kinda used to 40-50 bucks. But 150? Maybe someday they’ll gonna go down a bit.
I'm in the USA and my daughter lives in the UK. I never walk away from the post office without at least a $100 charge to ship a small box. It's insane.
Question. I used to work in construction in the admin/office area. The program we used did a material takeoff so I could get bids and order material. Granted I always added a percentage to it, but it worked. Doesn’t your software offer that?
I would love the builder belt, but paying the same amount for the product aswel as shipping it to the Netherlands is rough!😥Love the video's regardless!
The 42 hour super cut of this project is going to fun fun fun
I mean I've watched every second of each release but a supercut is what got me watching many projects ago.
It’s going to be October 2030 before it’s done being edited lol
Wow, Jaime did a really nice job of removing that concrete in the doorway!
This 76 year-old lady can’t begin to tell you how much I enjoy watching the construction. My daddy was a carpenter and so was my grandpa and my uncle and my older brother and it brings back such fun memories of going to their works sites.
78 year old woman still learning new stuff. My handyman groans sometimes
This build is really starting to take shape! It's really looking good!
Jamie: "What do you want from me?"
Erik: "Just counting. Counting would be real good"
Hilarious 🤣
Should get Jamie a sesame street count von count shirt.
@ 2:41, even the tape measure was in disbelief. 🤣
Ray out there lookin like ZZ Top with the new shades

Great video guys, greetings from the Philippines
Awesome! Thank you!
Great stuff today, Perkins crew. Looking great
Appreciate you watching!

I've been wondering, are you planning to continue as a 5 man crew since Arlo left? Any plans to find a 6th?
@M104-q9y bro, I do be really missing Arli and his tips, bro
With so many builder videos to watch on UA-cam, I've settled on just two .. Perkins Bro's and Jays Way .. Seriously the energy, and brotherhood goes beyond the work of building ..
Thank you for letting us build with you ..
Yup that's me
I Love you guy's.....Thank's for the entertainment
Its the little things that make the difference 👍💯
Awesome job on the roof guys! Jamie knocked it out of the park with that cut out!
Lmao i get a good laugh every time I watch this build & Jamie has an eagle eye it's as good as a string line !! Yal do awesome work because yal take pride in your trade !! That good to watch !! Everyone stay safe & have a HAPPY THANKSGIVING DAY
I think Allen is Phillips brother
Haha🤣

Finished watching the previous 3hr build video..And just in time for the new update of the current build. What a win.

Another great video! Cool to see you working with other UA-camrs. RR is another of my favorites to watch.
How did all of you guys meet each other? Have a special video on this. Your crew is awesome!
Given how high the garage roof is, I’m not sure a 4’ overhang will keep rain out. And Eric, glad to see you using earmuffs rather than, or in addition to, those earplugs!
i want to see RR buildings working with you guys
YES!! A NEW VIDEO! Was waiting for this
We appreciate you sticking with us!
@you’ll see me in the comments Sunday I’ll be waiting!
Y'all should be really proud of yourselves building that house like the Amish build barns. They don't have cranes to help move wood around, it's mere strength of the team.
I LOVE this house! It is going to be AMAZING when you guys are done!
as long as you guys keep Jason Happy, everything will progress fine,
I have such mad respect for your professional skills.
We appreciate it!
Siete bravissimi complimenti davvero 🎉❤😮😊
The garage rafters overhang was hilarious! 😂

@@hedunlapgood question. i’m not sure they messed it up but i can understand what you mean and it’s plausible
On the next video in this series I want to see Erik wearing those safety glasses with a red & white striped wool beanie with a red & white striped shirt 😁. Loving this series, this home is coming along amazingly

Such fun watching these while I work my IT job... you guys are awesome

Props to Jamie. Go dood 👍
Very cool cantilever. That’ll look awesome. Well done guys.
Another amazing video - house looking awesome
I would love to have these guy build a house for me. Talk about exceptional quality!
Hello from Ireland, really enjoying this build, great work as always :)
the autumn leaves are also getting more beautiful just as the house getting in shape. All forces on earth are in tune with you
Love this build!
Great video Erik. If I had an extra $150 laying around I’d definitely buy one. Lol. Winter layoffs suck tho
Next time for flat roofs buy furring strips, they are specially made for flat roofs, that will avoid the extra work you had to do with the cantilever roof- just check out furring strips!
Nice touch that Jamie at the end of the video, there. Happy Thanksgiving.
Great construction by the Perkins crew as always its fun to see the team work and banter
I kid you not! This is getting exciting! (I would love to see a video of the tossing/catching and maybe some tossing/missing at the end.)
Sweet catch Eric
I like the harness especially the phone holster. But I need it to be aproved for fall protection.
Chicken shtick! 😆
Belt ordered. Thanks for all the great content!
Could you do a quick demonstration on setting up the new perkins tool belt? I had the older version but sent it back because I couldn't figure out how to get the pouches secured the right way. Thanks. Really enjoying your videos.
Thanks for the video!
Part 50 was the last video on Ramelles house and this one isn’t even done framing🤯😂
Who else stalks the playlist to watch the video prior to the notification? I can't get enough PBB and this build!
It’s usually in there a few hours early!
@@PerkinsBuilderBrothers your consistency is top notch as well. Fantastic work building this channel.
I do 😅
@3:38 We gonna ignore Jay twerking? 🤣🤣

Missed an opportunity when he asked, "What do you want from me?"
Accountability 😂 2:57
I might build a house just as an excuse to buy that builder belt ^^
Can a mechanic use that belt?
Awesome job guys, Jaime worked his butt off on the concrete, not that Erik and Jay didn't on the overhang, but I would have hated to do what Jaime did.
Love the new music!
"1/4" in 3 feet... that's like an inch!" Maths. You guys are the best!
Nice video

We need a shirt with Jamie's face where one eye is squinting and the other has a laser beam shooting from it... "Laser Eye".
Yay Ive been waiting for the next episode you made my day thanks guys
Counting would be real good 👍

It really is a nice belt.

I started watching you guys when I was in high school during shop class in 2018/2019
Nice job and nice video !! keep going you guys !
