If you’ve visited the redwoods, it’s like the mist in those hills, hugging the trees themselves. These goliath trees are just hinted at through the fog until you’re right up to them.
Scott has an eye for coordinating epoxy and wood color. I didn't see how the milky white would work with the red, but this is gorgeous. And the darkness from the live edge gives it incredible depth. This build truly belongs mounted on a wall. Great job guys 👍
The epoxy color on this one is perfect in my opinion. It kind of looks like mountains shrouded in fog or low clouds. Definitely my favorite table so far.
Oh, wow! This is the prettiest table that you've done. The white-ish epoxy makes it look like clouds floating amongst the timber. On a separate note, my father and I built a 6 foot round table from Aspen and epoxy back in the 80's. We got bubbles under the epoxy coat and you completely explained why this happened. Dad passed on a while ago, but I finally have an answer on why that happened. Thank you! It's a beautiful piece and I may now forgive the mammoth tusk. LOL!
Cam, I think you need to give the eagle scout, camera guy Scott a raise, or at least make him a new merit badge. That table/ wall art looks absolutely amazing. Thank you both for taking time to build, film, edit and post this video.
Hi Cam, I know I’ve said this before but as an older woman I won’t ever be a woodcrafter but I love your videos because they are teaching me so much about how to create a beautiful piece! You do absolutely amazing work! I’m not wealthy and could never afford one of your pieces but I like to window shop! Thank you for sharing! 😊
That redwood is really amazing. I also like the color of the epoxy. It reminds me of fog on a river. Thank you for all you do and for taking us along for the ride.
Another video from Cameron! Im a woodworker on the side now and have converted my 2 car garage to a wood shop over the last year, Cameron has definitely been one of my inspirations! I haven't messed with Epoxy yet but I do play to eventually!
This is a spectacular piece of art! Just gorgeous. I have the good fortune of living near old growth coastal redwoods. One of my favorite sights is low-lying fog amidst the trunks. You have really captured that. Thank you for all of your work. It is stunning. And the commentary?...priceless.
Weird part about being a youtuber is that Cam probably doesn't realize how many fans he got. Would even be weirder to know that most of them probably aren't even woodworkers lol. We just enjoy that craft! Would definitely ask for a picture
Cam, I literally just figured out how to get those exact same sanding blocks to fit my festool extractor yesterday. I slipped some clear poly hose(7/8” ID), shrunk it down with the heat gun just a bit, and then gave it two full length wraps with electrical tape, covering the port on the block as well. Works like a champ, takes up no extra length like an adapter would, and it costs almost nothing.
I stumbled upon your channel about a year ago and came up with the idea of building one table myself. I just finished one last week and it’s awesome! Thank you for all the details and techniques. It’s such a great feeling to be able to create something so cool looking just with your hands and a little bit of discipline. 🙏🏻
If I had the money, I’d buy it without hesitation. I loved the color of the epoxy. Kudos to you for also showing the mistakes-that shows your confidence and how you learn from them and improvise. Once again, beautiful piece!
I know nothing about woodworking or tables or epoxy, but man do I love a person who is passionate about his craft. It just makes me warm and fuzzy inside! Cam is a treasure that must be protected at all costs.
Honestly probably one of the coolest tables you've created. The people in the comments are right. Looks like some foggy woods. The epoxy color is spot on.
As a Brazilian: You sports refferences are so American... I didn't get any of them hahaha. When you talk about soccer, don't talk only to Europeans, talk to the entire world... since it's the world most popular sport 😛
Yasssss That's my Thursday night fulfilled now. Love your videos and admit that I may love them a bit more than my wife and kids. Keep them coming and love from Glasgow, Scotland
I really like the combination of the cloudy epoxy and redwood. I live in California along the coast and it reminds me of our redwood forests in the morning when the trees are surrounded by fog. So pretty!
on the circle. drill a hole in a block to fit your marker, tie a knot around the block to remove parallax error holding the pen. you could also tie a knot through the hole of a large washer and just drag the pen against the TDC of the inner diameter. on the mold release, spray into a foam roller, roll on the mold release.
The string needs to be closer to the tip of the pin and you will get more accurate cycles. Scots knots were great. I love your work and watch all of you videos good stuff M8.
I’m not much of a black color fan so I was excited to see the white foggy color. Loved how the table turned out, another great piece! Looking at the grain in wood I am always in awe.
I may have said this before, but I really really mean it this time. You've made some cool stuff before, but dude, this is the one. This is by far the coolest. The grain of the wood and the white epoxy makes it look like an aerial view of a rugged, mountainous rain forest (I'm colorblind, don't judge) with thick fog settling in the valleys. It's a cool effect to see the vague dark shapes of the slopes as they disappear down into the mist. The islands on the edge were a stroke of genius. That makes it look like the terrain we are viewing is on Pandora. This thing was the most perfect table ever.
Cam you're really good at the leadups. 6:30 I wasn't expecting that story about football to lead into your workshop but it did perfectly and also gave me 100% confidence that your workshop is now the best money can buy.
It looks like the foggy california coast... this is an amazing piece of art.. I hope the fog gets back lite a slight bit ... to really highlight it!! Good Job!!!
So finally subscribed. Been watching your videos on recommended for like a year. Now I won't miss any. Currently going to be diving into the blacklog of content. So cheers, revenue. I know you read the comments, so let me give a non-chastising suggestion. It's pretty obvious looking at the shape of the wood why you chose them in a lot of these projects. Because they would make a kickass pattern along with the epoxy. While really awesome, I'm been watching creators mix epoxy with wood on youtube for a decade now. It's gotten predictable and the outcome is the same. I would suggest finding a substitute for epoxy to fill the cool pasterns. Preferably a different wood or cut metal. Would it be way more difficult? Yes. Would it be way cooler? Yes. I believe in you.
Excellent video. I always learn something new. Regarding the spray you use to release the project from the mold, Us an air cleaner and set up fans blowing the chemical out the door. You more than likely don't want your vehicle parked down wind. I use something like this and even though my shop is in no way the size of your shop, it works wonderfully. I know a table like this would be hard to move around. Since you sold it to be used as wall art instead of a table, Maybe you could cut and separate the table right down the middle. When you get it inside, you can slide it back together. If the piece is long enough, make a leaf for the middle of the table. That way a client can decide on keeping the table small or big for a large number of people. Just a thought.
Rich people have big houses, big houses have big dining rooms, big dining rooms need big tables, expensive round tables are bought by rich people…..full circle, pun unintended.
Cam & Scott you BOTH made amazing choices, this is one of my most favorite pieces you've done yet, it's absolutely beautiful! I just started woodworking and being a 46 yr old mom I know it's going to be a challenge but watching how pretty all your tables turn out at least gives me inspiration even if I know I won't ever be making anything like them. Side note, at the end I thought you were going to say you gave it to Scott as a gift when you first said it isn't for sale!
Much like the previous analogy... I didn't think I had a type.. yet I could not stop staring at this gorgeous piece. Amazing work the both of you! This is by far the best project I have ever laid eyes on! I wouldn't even ask for a prenup!
I really like the way this turned out. That redwood, as hard as it is to work with turned out amazing. Also, an award winning ending to the video. Thank you!
This is probably the nicest wood epoxy table (wall art) I've seen, the white (slightly blue) looks a little like ice and the whole thing looks really organic 👌
My god that's beautiful. The depth seen through the epoxy has me in awe. This might be my favorite piece that I've seen you make. Incredible craftsmanship.
I think this is one of your nicest combinations yet. I especially like the darker epoxy edges and the islands. If I could fit it in my house (or afford it) I would love to own it.

Great work by the way, long time watcher!
Scott has good taste. I dig the foggy look as well. I like how some of the lower edges are just hinting through.
If you’ve visited the redwoods, it’s like the mist in those hills, hugging the trees themselves. These goliath trees are just hinted at through the fog until you’re right up to them.
@@DukeTrout yeah they totally nailed it. It looks awesome
Scott the Emmy award winning Eagle Scout video guy is a true artist, this table/wall art is gorgeous
agreed
32:16 ... That's gorgeous! As a coastal guy I see redwood and dense fog. Very soothing.
Like looking out my window. Beautiful!
You're soo right! I saw that too!
I was thinking the same thing. Beautiful piece.
I was thinking the same thing. I live in the costal redwoods and it reminds me of the costal fog and the beautiful redwood trees. Beautiful piece!

Wow! That is probably my favorite table you have made. That white epoxy just made the wood look like islands on a milky sea. Really excellent work.

That table (wall piece) is so bad ass. I freaking love the "foggy" look on there. Great work!
This is my favourite table I've seen you make. Absolutely beautiful.
That is one of the most beautiful table/wall mount I've ever seen you do. Simply amazing!
Those mallet strikes immediately brought that song to mind, LOL.

I don’t get asked for a lot of pictures. Always makes my day when I do though.
You did a great job but I'm not crazy about the color of the resin. It reminds me of soapy dish water. Sorry 💜
And even more so, we can't afford his furniture either 🤣🤣
I’m just here for the falling slab / squish video . Scott ….. stay vigilant and remember , keep filming till the dying breath

the black epoxy is always cool but you loos so much of the depth of your live edges this is just killer glad this worked out so well

White epoxy looks amazing. Slab edges look like misty mountains.
As for mold release: spray it on a cloth, then wipe it on the surface.

Scott hit it out of the park with his choices, it looks so cool. I love the translucent look with the redwood.

I absolutely love that colour combination. Thanks to Scott for all his ideas. :)

Going over the pros and cons of leaving your wife for an OnlyFans model was a ballsy analogy to make my guy 😂

I love the way that frosted epoxy looks! Looks like mist between the pieces of wood. Looks super cool how the live edge shows up through it in places.

One of the best tables yet. That frosted white effect came out perfect. Looks like they're sitting in clouds.
i love the ghostly look of the epoxy. Love to see another one done just like it.
That was a great idea and give back. The community will see the business know and you will get some credit. Thumbs up 👍

The adjustment for the table to get level was a very good idea!
This is my favorite piece I’ve ever seen you make. Gives a Star Wars, dagobah system type fog feel. So cool
Big fan Cam, been here for years. I think it’s time you have a sit down with Mudustrial Maker for the “Caulk Talk” (which is always the same btw)
I really loved this table, especially the unique base to tie it together!
What a cool slab. That curl in the grain is amazing. I love the smoky epoxy. The live edges just fade away. So cool.
Stunning. Great work Scott.
Your wife is soo lucky to have you. You’re a top notch guy😊 Not a woodworker but i love woodworking content.
In my opinion one of the best tables you've ever produced. Love the floating islands, reminds me of the YES album covers many years ago.
I didn’t think I’d like the epoxy as much as I did. It looked like dense fog in chasms. Really dynamic!

Did you reseal the edges after cutting to fit in mold???
I'd love to see a video of you applying the n3 nano kit to an existing table, ideally something that didn't have it before and is a few years old.
Question here:
to get bubbles out of concrete you vibrate the form… would that apply to epoxy bubbles?
The start with your wife was so funny had me in stitches thank you ❤❤
For drawing perfect circles, you can always make a big compas out of a long and narrow board. You just have to drill a hole to hold your pen straight and steady and you nail the other end of the plank to keep it in place. That’s what I did to make a curved walnut lamp and it worked perfectly! Great work by the way, long time watcher!
Something similar to that jig he used for the router, except replace the router with a pen holder
