- In this video I show how I diagnosed and fixed a P0471 fault code on a Mazda 2.2 diesel Skyactiv engine - This engine is very common all across the Mazda range, so if you have one of these fault codes on yours you may have the solution to both diagnose and solve your fault in this video.

Great. Many Thanks for that.
Got the 50 kPa when the electrical connector removed, but when I did the sensor disconnected / atmospheric check got 55kPa rather than the 314 you found. But as I guess it’s not ~100 kPa it’s still faulty! So will try a new one.
Top tip, pack rags below the sensor before removing/refitting the bolts because if you drop one they drop down quite a way and are EXTERMELY difficult to recover!☹
Nicely explained mate - well done! 👍😊
Thanks mate ❤️👌
Great job Gerard, hope Ye are All settled back to nicer climes again👍🙏😎🌞
Absolutely Pat, It has been hectic but all settled back into the groove again. I hope you and yours are all keeping well :)
@@GerardBurkeBurkesGarage All grand over here Gerard, Thank You, will be in touch, take care 🙏🙏👍😎☘️🍻
Many thanks!!
Thanks a lot for clear explanations and tips. I've replaced the pressure sensor, but the rubber hose just underneath (p/n SH0120763) was completely clogged. A new hose comes with the kit, so no big issue, but unfortunately also the air pipe, the metal tube wich the rubber tube is connected to was clogged (p/n SH0120870). Is it possible to clean it or must to be replaced? I guess there is quite a bunch of work to replace it. In the meantime, even with the air pipe clogged, I have the car up and running, withou any warning from electronics...how is it possible?
I have the same question, how does it work if the metal pipe is clogged?
Thanks man
Just done ours Gerard same problem and used that upgrade kit identical to that one
Tried it without the extra bit of wiring first and it ran terrible plugged the new wiring piece in and spot on !! So what’s in that bit of wiring just looks like pair of cables and two connectors so how’s that work ??
An extension, as this is an upgraded sensor, different than original.
Hello,
I deleted DPF and EGR is blocked in this case I need exhaust pressure sensor or not.?
Thank you.
I'v P0236 Error, with Mazda 3 2014 2.2D.. it's the same trick to fix this?
Where is this sensor placed om a Mazda 5 2,0 diesel 2010?
🇳🇴
Nice.. Easy way🔥🔥🔥
🙏🙏👍👍👌👌
Where does the connection to the engine go for the sensor? I can’t work it out
Hi Gerard . I have both these codes currently on my Cx5 . It's a 66 plate with 79k miles . My car is still not repaired. My mechanic whom I've decided not to go back to charged me 3 hours labour looking at diagnostic details @ £60 an hr . He also said he cleaned turbo sensor , management light still on . Has now said intake manifold needs cleaned . Another mechanic said it's the turbo so I'm at a loss to what to do as I really cant afford expensive repair . I had it also at a carbon clean guy but he reckoned it was not worth the car on clean after looking at it but has also said could be turbo , buy has also suggested Terra clean .
I've since been and spoke to another mechanic, an older guy , seems very knowledgeable and also reckons intake could and should be manually cleaned as he diesnt recommend Terra cleaning. I've been thinking maybe going to him . Its well known these engines bad for clogging up with carbon . After this video on feeling a bit more hopefull . Would it be recommended I look at this first before cleaning of manifold. I should also mention that oil level has been rising , fuel getting into the oil , is this a related or separate issue ?
Its the sensor if you had the same errors. Check my other comment. This gave me head aches three months ago. It has to be the new upgraded sensor. It is mad of metal, not plastic as the original one. ONLY Mazda genuine sensors will be accepted. Others wont work. Sensor No 1.
Hi mate have you solved the problem? What's the reason? Thank you.
Had the same on Mazda 3 2.2d few months ago. Same both error codes. Changed the sensor with the new upgraded (and different shaped) from Mazda. The car rejected the Bosch one.. so paid Mazda price.
Thanks for the info mate, can we get a how to installation video?
That is all the footage I have unfortunately, I am in a position where jobs must go out and customers are waiting so sometimes it's impossible to get all the footage for step by step guides.
I was wondering how the upgrade sensor brackets went in 👏
👌👌💪
Also the pipe needs to be looked at it runs down and from what I can rember it goes on to a narrow steel pipe which gets blocked easily with carbon u can clean it out with a piece of wire this will also give you fault code
Do you clean out that pipe in situ using a Flexi wire or do you have to remove the pipe? If the former then I'm guessing any carbon pushed 9ut will simply fall into the dpf and eventually get burnt away?
@@novusordo84 yes gust run a piece of wire through the pipe carefully gust to make sure it's clear this is what I did and the car is running fine a year on that pipe is a tough one to remove I sprayed some carb cleaner down the pipe to help with the clean good luck
Great man thanks really u help me I have this problem Right now on my car . Plz I need some help can I get your personal contact 🙏.
