Great video. I have this job to do on a Mazda CX5 Skyactive 2.2, the MAF sensor looks just like yours. So this video is a very big help, thank you for taking the time to create it, it’s very clear. 👍😊
Excellent video. Used it months ago to clean the egr and egr cooler in my M6 2016. One question you may be able to help me with: coolant seems to be overflowing the expansion tank, and loosing coolant there, being pushed by air in the coolant system. This is the only symptom (no white smoke, oil in coolant nor milky oil, no overheating, no loss of power, though I didnt test compression). Also the car had both egr valves removed via ECU. When we cleaned the EGR, we had to reassembly everything twice as the first time it had a small exhaust leak. Do you think EGR cooler gasket may be blown? Or the EGR cooler itself? Upong studying diagrams of the system, it seems that the valves are placed after the cooler, so that when the valves are closed, there is still exhaust pressure in the cooler that I think (and hope) is making its way through the coolant system. Also the radiator cap was changed and the issue continues. I just hope the issue is not a blown HG or broken cylinder wall😅
Hi Mr Nice Guy, Enjoying your videos, I have a question my 66 plate 2.2d Mazda 6. The MAP sensor reads 10kpa when engine off and 7kpa at idle then only really goes to 19kpa at 3000 revs. I do get code P2262 every few months. I presume the sensor is carboned up or bad. How likely is it that the nipple will break and end up in the intake manifold? If I buy a replacement. Thanks in advance
Thank you buddy, the intake manifold removal will be out soon. But will have to include this video as well as you will need to remove all this parts first to be able to remove the intake manifold.
Coud you please make a more comprehensive video on how to make the valve closed when you clean the intake manifold on automatic mazda 6 2.2 diesel . Best Regards
hi hi, have you ever had this error code P0488 on a mazda 6 2.2 diesel, I cleaned the egr, intake manifold, etc., but when the antifreeze temperature reaches 70 degrees celsius, it gives me this code and it grinds very loudly when changing gears (automatic gearbox) if you can help me with an opinion I would be grateful
SH0120300A this is the original code of the egr valve, now it depends on which Mazda model you have, mine is Mazda 6 2.2 diesel from 2015, if you also have the same Mazda model as mine and you have problems (I had scsb, abs engine lights etc. inside the car, and when the antifreeze reached 70 degrees celsius, the car entered limp mode (that is, the gearbox (automatic) squeaked very loudly when changing and you also have the fault code P0488, then you could try to change that valve egr, mine was that defective valve
Hi mate Thank you for the videos very helpful but I don’t have your skills or ultrasonic cleaner lol. Do you have a garage I can bring the car and you can have a look and do the job for me? Thanks
Hello, You having an automatic transmission, you will have to turn the crankshaft bolt in clockwise direction. In order to do so you will have to remove the front right wheel, remove one little plastic trim from in front of the crankshaft pulley and then use a 21mm hex socket and turn the crankshaft bolt. I will make a short video about it with instructions as I have a footage of it, probably today, then I will link the video here to the comments for you.

Unfortunately, this sounds very much like a defective cylinder head gasket...

If I don’t have the air compressor like yours, how can I remove the carbon in the intake manifold and the block?

it can be done in one day if you have done it before, but I would say rather 2 days.

Hi I have the same issue. Did you solve this?
hi hi yes I solved the problem, it was due to the egr valve, I bought a new one from denso and now the car works perfectly

Yes,here it is:

What does this being block or dirty cause the map sensor that is
Firstly the bad design of the engine. Carbon deposits will build up in your EGR system and Intake Manifold and on the Intake Ports.
Are there any specs on how much torque to use on bolt/nuts when assembling back together?
I only torqued down the intake manifold bolts to 10 Nm. The rest I just made sure they are snug.
What was the mileage of the Mazda 6 2.2 diesel?
Can't remember

... Well. Harder.
The dpf needs to come out, and be rinsed.
Does this engine have two egr's ? High pressure ? And low pressure?
I think it has two, yes. But not sure how they works. In the video where I say throttle body, that's the secondary EGR.

I think around 100k. But I would say you need to clean the intake valves every 40k on these engines.
