- Rachel Weeks (The Command Zone/Game Knights), Gavin Verhey (Good Morning Magic / Wizards Of The Coast), and Georg (none) have built Commander decks using playtest cards from Gavin's Unknown Events as their Commander. I didn't have a deck of my own so Gavin built one for me using a never before seen card!

When you ran off for your merch plug i thought it was for the infinitoken counters so he could write a +2/+2 on it.
To The Professor and people of the comments, do not joke about +2/+2 counters they are a very serious topic and a cornerstone of Magic's history!! So here are my favorite 3 that valiantly hold put against the blight of inferior counters!
So at number 3 I have, 'Fungus Elemental,' a card I'm sure you WOULD have heard about if people bought more quality products like these +2/+2 counter pouches. And who could forget 'Dwarven Armory,' an extraordinarily powerful card that hit it's peak in the Ice Age, the set, not the era you uncultured swine. Before I announce big number 1, I would like to take a moment for some honorable mentions, these are staples proudly featuring +2/+2 counters that unfortunately couldn't make it into my Top 3 because it's such a competitive ladder:

-- Lead-Belly Chimera
-- Brass-Talon Chimera
-- Tin-Wing Chimera
-- Soul Exchange
Finally, I would like to bring your attention to 'BARON SENGIR' himself, one of the Great Classics, who was almost as prominent as 'Sheoldred the Apocalypse' is in Standard now!

The prof getting those counters is exactly the same as when your dad realizes he has the exact piece of scrap to fix something, that he has been holding onto for years.

That +2/+2 counter moment had the same energy for when you need a very specific cable and you remember you have it in a box somewhere in the basement that you haven't even looked at in 15 years, that was amazing xD

@@TolarianCommunityCollege It's probably best to switch depending on the video. In this one, the antics were just way too far gone to interrupt with a pause.
I'd say it also depends on the type of mistake. Player should be alive and get another turn? Big game-changing mistake: worth an interruption. A huge creature has its stats slightly off? Perfectly good for a pop-up.
This was probably the most funniest episode of Shuffle Up & Play I’ve ever seen. Absolutely laughing my socks off throughout the entire episode. The Prof self-advertisement segment is too damn good 😂
I've never left a UA-cam comment before, but this episode brought me so much joy, I had to add to the chorus of comments. May we all one day be as gleeful as the Prof seeing the Scholar of Seas for the first time, and may all our tables be filled with laughter as raucous as Rachel's.
That moment when Prof realized he had the +2/+2 counter felt like a Dad realizing he has the exact kind of screw for a broken piece of furniture and i love it.

As soon as I realised they needed specific +2/+2 counters I thought of the Prof's counters from the Academic Kickstarter, of which I have 2 sets myself, and thought he needs to get a pack out. I'm glad he got to to in the end.
Just straight bangers of this show. Love it. Also, major props to the editor - the banners and confetti and background music change, the mini-Dreadmaw animation on the table when the camera was on everyone. It’s all top-tier.

I love seeing Gaven on here bc you can tell he and Prof are genuinely friends despite how Prof feels about WotC. I like to believe Gaven made that card just FOR Prof even if he can't say that.

I love how George was just there to add to chaos of the game. He does almost nothing except made the colossal dreadmaws more dangerous. Though I guess he did Swords to Plowshares the creature that would give Rachel 60 mana.
As great of a game this was, my favorite part was prof getting so excited to show off he had +2/+2 counters.

such a small world, this magic community, I was in vegas and played in the unknown event (super awesome, ofc), against... none other than Georg! really nice guy, didn't know exactly where I recognized him from but all the famous faces in magic I saw that night was awesome. Gonna keep going to these cons as I can, its so cool (and I love magic)

I have a Commander deck that is an homage to the Colossal Dreadmaw. Every creature in the deck is a 6 mana 6/6, and yes I run the OG himself and his newer incarnation. So I appreciated Rachel's deck

Hey prof, just wanted to thank you for making all those videos, they've been a bundle of fun and joy that brightened my days. In particular, today's video dropped at the right time since I lost my job with no warning or explanation and it really triggered my mental health issues. Seeing all the joy and fun you 4 (and staff probably?) had has been a breath of fresh air in a suffocating day and I cannot thank you enough.
