    I can't stop laughing at, "Oh there's a Tarmogoyf! That's an easy first pick." Pascal is such a legend and I loved seeing him as a guest! (57:40 timestamp for anyone who wants to see it).
    Also, I guess I'll explain the reference for newer players. Pascal Maynard was in the Top 8 of a Grand Prix and had the choice between a foil Tarmogoyf (worth around $400 at the time) and Burst Lightning (a worthless Common that was strong in Draft and would have made his deck better). He took the Tarmogoyf and it caused an uproar because people thought it was crazy to see someone money drafting in a high level event.

    • @Villakarvarousku
      @Villakarvarousku 8 місяців тому +25

      Ah, I'd heard of the Tarmogoyf pick so I knew what they were referencing, but I didn't realise it was actually him! Thanks!

    Leatherback Baloth is my all-time favourite magic card and I'm extremely pleased to see it in this video. Black Lotus into Baloth absolutely makes me want to play Canlander

    I love that prof is using Elder Dragon Social Club sleeves. Such a great subtle 'solidarity' move.

    12:32 The rule about the starting player drawing on their first turn is not a rule specific to Commander, it's a rule that applies to all multiplayer games of Magic (rule 800.7 in the Comprehensive Rules). So if you ever play 1v1 Commander the starting player should skip their first draw step, just like in any other 1v1 format.
