    Hi Mark, fantastic job on the cam belt change. Clearly the old one wasn't going to last long, doing a thorough job makes the finished car far more sellable and worth a bit more too.
    Looking forward to seeing the next project.

    I had a mark 2 focus since 2013 love it she a bit long in the tooth now. Done over a 100,000 miles bought her when she had 40,000 back in 2013 for £3000. The ford focus is so easy to work on when stuff needs doing its easy to keep them on the road if you are any good with cars which i am no mechanic but I'm ok with a spanner you know. She due a timing belt change so wanted to see how its done.

  • @alancampbell1008
    @alancampbell1008 3 роки тому

    It's a puller to take the cam sprocket offf the camshaft. When you're using a puller try to get the pin as central as possible to stop it taking the pulley off at an angle, pops off easier and less chance of damaging something or the puller slipping. Good you have the tools now, make it easier, accurate and more successful. You'll probably find none of the belts will have been done, especially auxiliaries which tend not to get replaced unless they cause problems or break. My dad used to carry a pair of tights in the car in case the fan belt burst, well that's what he told us 😂😂l Can I suggest you put the sticker on top of the cambelt cover where it's easier seen? On the bonnet underside is out of sight.

    A genuine question not a criticism but you said they can go to the channel and see the car been done but you started hiding the reg numbers what’s the thinking behind that? I have never understood it as we drive about all day with our reg plates on show to everyone and anyone in day to day life.

    The good thing is the puller for the Diesel engines. It’s the proper way to remove them as they are taper fit most lazy people just tap them with a hammer but this tends to crack them or distort them.
