Alfa just relaunched in the US at that time. People not really familiar with the brand, dealer presence, ease of maintenance...BMW is also well capitalized and offers aggressive lease deals that people are used to, while there aren't many financing deals for Alfas and interest rates are higher. However, for true gearheads, Alfa gives you a more advanced and sophisticated suspension setup then the 3 series and most other sedans. It is probably the best driving sedan under $100k. Yes there is a perception gap in terms of reliability, where BMWs have had many major issues with their cars, e46, e92, f80, especially with rod bearings and crankhub. G80 also had a recall on the s58 at launch. However, Alfas have had not really had prevalent engine failures. People especially gear heads should go out and buy them, as they are a helluva lot of car for the money. People just go with BMW because the dealers are right there, financing is cheaper, maintenance is easier, it's the 'easy' option. The should have priced the Giulia more aggressively to attract buyers, but Tavares tried to keep margins high and lost share. Not to mention Car and Driver published their 40k long term review after the release and ended up not recommending it because of launch related electrical gremlins, which were later resolved.
U lost it trying to compare a pos dodge dart with a Maserati motor to a G80 🤣 anything stellantis shits out isn’t worth a penny. U tried to bring up a recall on launch like there aren’t G8X’s lasting 80k+ miles while tuned and running ethanol getting dogged on daily and zero issues. Don’t be delusional
i took the QF for a spin, and was underwhelmed.. the handling and power is quite predictable but the M3 was just wild and fun. Infotainment system in QF was dissapointing as well
In US a lot of people have very few culture about Sport Car. It is a Huge Country so that’s normal. Bmw is around this market from long time. Alfa not and have few dealers. But If You Love something different with High Hypo and Soul. Giulia 🍀 is my choose. So I bought it.
I would buy the giolia bcs of its uniqueness, but i assume that more parts will be available for the BMWs, and from a mechanic friend i heard Alfas are not great to work on generally, even though i'm not sure why and whether that's true
Bro... is there any problem with having a more unique car? I see at least one Giulia QF per week (in EU) and I always say to myself "damn, this is a s*xy car" - sitting in my Bimmer :P
@quickcarpod Warsaw in Poland - 2 more Gulias QF today morning (at the hospital parking). Italian cars were quite popular in Poland in the 90s, for sure more than in USA. But I almost never see F150 on the other hand
Bmw just has that one thing, like iphone vs android discussion. Till you'll not own one long term and try something else after, you'll not get it.
@@TheTom7 I love the analogy. I switched to Apple recently and loved it. But maybe the Alfa is Android and the Beemer is Apple…

Giulia because it's more unique. (Working at a BMW dealership in Germany)
I would buy the M3 just feels right but the QF is a stunning car. I think the M3 would be better for tuning

Alfa Romeo is a driver's car, better than the BMW in every way, your comment on the Alfa Romeo reliability is false!
Obviously you are a BMW fan boy!!

Very very different cars.
It could be a case of casting pearls before swine.
Nice phrase!
@ Thank you. That’s a quote from our Lord. It’s in the gospels.
Who told you the Giulia failed? You failed with the title of the video.

I've been a master tech for over 20 years and bought a brand new '23 Giulia Quadrifoglio last year. I disagree with your mechanic friend.
people are sheep and buy bmw

I NEVER see them. Where do you live bro?

I dont think bmws are that reliable tbh
It’s not 2011 anymore get with the times Top 3 in reliability 3 years straight along with Toyota and Lexus ✌🏽
@@Vales.vergahomie I’d have to check but I’d be suprised Kia, Hyundai and Mazda aren’t higher?
I guess the problem is poor interior quality/design. Alfa's interior looks cheap and boring. Just my opinion though
@@MrKolyosick interesting, I’ll take a look at interiors of cars in the next vid
