To anyone having this issue, consider this following! I have this issue on my sram force etap. It turned out that in my case it's B-bolt wear. The length to diameter ratio of the bolt is quite low and is thus prone to wear and play. In cases where the customer doesn't want to replace the full derailleur assembly, might be worth checking the integrity of the b-bolt and looking for wear spots. It's very easy to spot on the sram force bolt since it's anodized black and the ano gets worn through.
Simple. If replacement pins were available it would be a simple fix. What I'm doing is saving any bad axis derailleur for parts in the hope of having parts to fix other bad derailleur.
When you take the chain off and trying to shift the up and down. What is causing in my rear derailleur is that the derailleur kept go back and forth couple times before it will settle. So what is causing that issue?
There is a small magnet inside your derailleur that let's the computer know where it is. It sounds like the magnet is losing its magnetism or has fallen out of place. You may have a short in the system. Take it to a good bike shop. You should be able to get a free estimate. Thanks!
@@alloutbikes Magnet?? The SRAM Force rear derailleur, like Red and Rival et al, uses a preset X-Y incremental, bidirectional axis, which can be varied through firmware updates. The rear derailleur requires tension of the chain to operate effectively along the X-Y shift axis.
Hello Jason, I noticed in your last two videos that you have a tandem adult tricycle. I was wondering if maybe you could do a video about it. I've never seen one like that before. I've seen a side-by-side trike's but never one behind the other three-wheel adult trike. Thanks. P.S. I enjoy your videos keep up the good work
as a side note i do not even have a bike. and this yahoo has an electric derailer??? does he have a bluetooth , for any updates???lol. but i am glad he has someone to fix what ever he/she/it? screws up stay well
First time I've heard that happen but I'm not surprised. It is a complex peace of equipment. Do you see a way to fix it? If it's the battery with the short you can replace it but I'm sure you know that. Is it the derailleur? Either way good luck.👍
I unfortunately own a '22 Force group..Nothing but problems with shifting..mechanical and bluetooth (or whatever Sram has developed) ..The shifters will just stop working for no reason mechanical..Its all firmware issues..Absolute garbage..stay away
Your voice started fading away at some crucial point. Did you place a new rear derailleur ? Also, how did you adjust the B-screw ? No tools used ?

Trying to get Sram to come up with a small parts kit for things just like that.
@@alloutbikes You can buy bbolt replacement kits but they really need to add a bushing to the bolt like they did for the xx1

So electronic shifting are not that reliable?
Electric shifting is extremely reliable. This customer rode the living daylights out of this bike. I can't tell you how many miles are on this bike.

What I found is that there is a short circuit over the battery terminals. meaning that the electronic part of the unit is busted
