that [STR] Anticipation preset from 0:31 is my design for Baby Audio's pearl of Atoms. There are more presets there - those in [...]. Enjoy!
Your presets are dope! Honestly had fun with all the artist presets on the synth :)
I was absolutely in awe with BA-1 when it was released. I’m really intrigued with Atoms, since it’s physical modeling.
It's a completely different beast, but produces unique stuff
Thank you for the review Alex!
Thanks for watching!Glad you liked it and awesome presets! :)
@@AlexReidStudios Many thanks!
I'm not finding this very different from any number of other apps available today. Especially when compared to the very usable physical modeling synth available in Logic. I don't need an experimental synthesizer to make music or soundtracks, I need something I can control quickly and reliably.
That's fair, this one is more on the experimental side
Uff ese acentito español como se escapaa jajaja Nice video dude!
gracias!!
Look's Fun if a little random.. great Video Alex as always :)
Thank you!
Thx for the info, I might actually give this a go
Have fun!
Wassup My G!!!
Sounds pretty cool! I could myself spending a lot of time and getting lost in the sounds. :)
It's a bit of sound design but also sound discovery
Finally theres a new physical modeling synth that compares to the Reason ones and Reaktor's Prism!!! This is so beautiful
Yes!! I was sad because I don't wanna subscribe to Reason. Still I find this one very different
@@AlexReidStudiosI completely understand. I'm a subscriber to Reason+ and I just can't let go of it, even though I need to do so, at least with the subscription.. But Even with all of my huge arsenal of synths Eith bitwig, Pigments, Falcon, Phaseplant, VPS avenger (and like...too many others) Reason Synths have this "sound" that I've tried replicating and failed. And Friktion, their bowed Physical modeling synth is.way way better than all those other higher priced ones. Plus the drum selection is so amazing, and the midi players/FX aren't easily replaceable because of how well and simple they work (I do love me Audio modern of course)
But it's just way too expensive if you purchased everything at once that's included in the subscription (comes out to be like...$1500 USD.) I'd rather just get a Hydra deluxe
But for now, looks like Baby Audio has provided me a potential alternative for Friktion that I might even love more so
unfortunately when i was doing bow junction (per julius smith at ccrma) i was not aware that k = w * -w;
:p
Some presets sound really good.
Totally!
This is absolutely my cup of tea, i just cant afford it sadly.
Hopefully you can get it someday
Interesting. Is it just me or is Atmos similar to Efx REFRACT? Atmos has milder effects.
Atmos or Atoms? Refract is not a synth
@@AlexReidStudios Atoms:))))I know it's a synth, I saw your video. What I meant was that it gives off a very ethereal sound.
I am a bit underwhelmed... I was pretty hyped fo BA's take on physical modelling, but I haven't heard many sounds coming out of this one that I particularly liked
It's a strange one, certainly not an always musical one
Try " Modus " by physical audio ;)
I could see some of these sounds, especially that heavy overtone sound, being used for some nice atmosphere in game design, particularly more abstract stuff.
I agree. It doesn’t come close to Reason’s Objekt which has far wider sounds and manipulations on offer. The presets are also much better. So, pretty disappointing and I feel like my GAS got the better of me on this purchase.
This sounds like a dog. GM for the win.
Reminds a bit like Synplant? Yes?
Because of the UI?
@@AlexReidStudios Yes but also how it sounds. And feels a bit random. I may be wrong tho.
I was thinking the same thing… sounds different than Synplant though.
Definitely sounds like it could be good for the dark synthpop I do.
Nice, it does create dark and weird stuff
I love the 'edgy' nature of modelling synths like this. One of the best synths in Reason is the Objekt modelling synth. However, I terminated my Reason subscription this year, due to how Reason has been treating customers. Even so, they do have awesome sounding kit.
I wish Objekt was standalone so I could get it. I like the sounds you can get and how good these synths get the unpredictability of physical objects
All is very good , fine, sounds, parameters, modeling,etc,etc.......but how on earth do you play a synth like this, you cannot be constantly with one hand on the keyboard and another one on the mouse handling more than 10 paramters.? I guess it finally boils down to a normal synth where you design a sound and play it.......which sort of defeats the purpose of the modeling. Probably I missed something.......If I did , I am sorry........but wouldn't a synth like this one be better suited for a wind controller ? Just asking.....
I believe the sounds you can get are very usable, but also think they programmed this with an expressive controller in mind. It has an mpe option too
Modus de physical audio est bien plus puissant '
Please get rid of that stupid Rabbit Hat 😂
No!
