seriously man your the only content creator that has found actual open source VSTs and not weird synths that cant tell me if its commercial use or royalty free
This is a useful service and your style and taste is useful too... I believe in what you are doing... you are saving us time and energy... plus making us smarter and keeping us in the loop! 20 years of production and i dont have the time to test and install each one to see if theyre that good!! also head into unique and wonderful samplers and samples because..... who has the TIME!!
Not only have you demonstrated excellent plugins - but you also take the time to very clearly explain each their functions/strengths, which is a large added gem! I have most of these that were shown. All plugins from Freakshow are... bizarre, to speak of - but ALL of them produce results that probably cannot easily be achieved with other plugins. My only problem with Cardinal (which I LOVE otherwise), is that with every new module added one cannot just upgrade the plugin - instead one must completely uninstall the earlier version before reinstalling the newer. One plugin that I knew of but didn't really think to be useful is Manta. But with your clear explanation and demonstration, has now convinced me to explore it properly. Thank you for that - and the excellent video. 🤘
Thank you so much for this comment :)! Glad you liked the video and my way of sharing stuff. I agree with Cardinal, nevertheless is an amazing alternative to VCV-
@@AlexReidStudios I'll check out the channel Alex... Also I really appreciate the fact that you reply to every single comment in every single video bud.. That's soo awesome🙃✨
@@AlexReidStudios honestly i have all but the spectral compressor installed cause that one intimidates me a bit but i have a tab open to do it at some point. i think regency is my favorite/most used and i really like all the freakshow industry plugins as well
@@AlexReidStudios That was my plan as well, because the resonance taming works really nicely (the actual hands-on controls are quirky, but I got used to it pretty quickly) ... until that acoustic guitar track 😅
Have you used mSpectralDynamics? Spectral compressor here seems very similar. I'd be interested to know if there are specific differences between them.
You're the most underrated music production youtuber. Your sub count is a travesty and just shows how broken the YT algorithm is. My only complaint is the way you pronounce "flanger". But as a monoliguistic simpleton myself, I have no grounds to critique you on your second (possibly more faik) language usage. 😄
@@TheCosmicTeapot Haha thank you a lot, and the channel is growing so I'm happy with that :). Yeah there are some words I haven't bothered to practice the original pronunctiation lol
Okay, Cardinal is ultra-cool! But many of the module names don't give any clue about what the modules actually do. Does anyone have a recommendation on where to find a list of module descriptions? Maybe even loosely organized by function?
Haha. One reason I like Voltage is most modules have boring names. I am still going to check out Cardinal. Because weirdness and modular go hand in hand.
@@AlexReidStudios Yes I am awaiting a comment of his on this matter. Maybe his are twice as good? The competition is not yet decided. Only one can leave this arena alive.
Bro, please tell me you didn't take lots of time to wade through all those thousands of free plugins to find the useful ones. I'd bet that in the same amount of time, you could learn Rust or C++ and write really good plugins yourself! (so why the hell do I waste time with video games?)

I've had Spectral Compressor for a long time, I had no idea you could use it as a vocoder 😮

I'd never heard of it before but I'm looking forward to having a play.
Nice gems you found there! Also thanks for showing our QSynthi (:
We did absolutely no promo for it so I'm wondering: How did you find our synth? 🤔
Found it on a Facebook group! Congrats on the great work :)

Very, very informative and helpful. Thank you.
Thank you :)
Cardinal seems very intresting but also difficult at the same time lol..
Any ideas of a tutorial of Cardial Alex??

*Unfortunately* the Spectral Compressor eats transients for breakfast - so only usable as a sound design tool.
