Usually when a developer releases a physical modelling synth they specify which organic instrument(s) is/are being replicated. But 'physical modelling' in general is a technical term that just loosely describes the process where some noise is getting excited by a bunch of filters to produce a tone. A lot of things could be called 'physical modelling' while producing absolutely otherworldly sounds. It's up to you if you are ok with that. If you want physical modelling synths to excel at certain organic instruments you need to get plugins that are more specifically geared towards that
They do specify that this is modelling bowed string instruments. When I talked about this not being what I expected, I mainly mean, that I expected something mutli-purpose and more realistic. (Like e.g. Objekt)

Baby audio - horrible noises and smooth skin. Just like a real baby. I do like smooth operator - but Atoms leaves me cold.
