Thank you very much @Baby Audio for having the guts to upload this video on how the technology itself works, like a video White Paper. I wish this was standad practice. Amazing stuff!

18:40 I noticed that the bow velocity never goes negative here... that kind of makes a hurdy gurdy a better analogy than a violin bow, if I've understood correctly? Like it's being bowed with a wheel. This is an awesome behind-the-scenes video, thank you so much! I'm a software dev (not for musical plugins though) and I really appreciate seeing more details about what's going on inside things.

That's a very good point, the wheel is indeed a better analogy :) Earlier on in the dev process the movement would be up/down, i.e., always crossing the 0 velocity point, but 0 velocity = no sound. To keep a smooth transition from "no movement" to "back-and-forth movement" (which is essentially identical to what happens 100% depth), this is the way I implemented it!

This is SO COOL!!! Wish more devs would do this! Thank you! ❤

Thanks! The synth and the video are both super useful. Could you say something about how MIDI velocity response is implemented? It clearly responds strongly to changes in velocity.

After demoing other physical modelling synths I picked this up. It's great but it's not clear how velocity is implemented though it clearly is. It would be fantastic to be able to dial in velocity and note number (keytracking) midi values to all the parameters in addition to the midi learn.

the FAQ page says loyalty pricing is 45% off msrp (unsure if this combines with intro offer)
there are also 10% discount codes for being a newsletter subscriber and i used a 30% discount from pre-ordering andrew huang's book.
