I'm not gonna lie it hasn't got any easier for me. Right now it's 3 months and the last couple weeks have been the worst so far. She really was the love of my life and now I'm starting to believe that everything she ever told me was a lie and a bunch of bullshit to get what she wanted from me. That's what she wanted just to be friends, and she is with a new man in her life. I said no and walked away and she said if I changed my mind then contact her. It's been painful but I'm sure it will be better for me in the long run.

This is very simple! NC works more for your ex not returning! If they left and didn’t return is because they never cared to begin with! When someone loves you they don’t leave, they stick it through no matter what! I have my doubts of NC, I personally think once the person disappears it’s done and they will not return! I’ve heard so many videos on NC and 80% Of them they never return, only 20% have success stories! So it’s very clear, prepare yourself to suffer because they will not return!
All my exes have come back at one point or another. I think you're misunderstanding the main idea behind NC. It's to help the dumpee recuperate after the devastation of heartbreak and continue moving forward. An ex coming back is kind of like the potential cherry on top. Also, you shouldn't generalize someone leaving as them simply not caring. I know in my case I didn't help the situation and I kept pushing and pushing. My ex eventually had enough, he still loved me but that wasn't doing anything about my behavior so he only had one last option, to breakup.

I broke no contact after 22 days. I thought maybe it was long enough and i had a question i wanted to ask n you know what i regret it cause she didn't respond and made me feel 10x worse. I'm back in no contact
I unfortunately broke no contact after 5 days. However Rory is completely right. There is no reason to make ourselves feel bad because someone we would drop everything for, is ignoring us. I’m completely baffled because I did everything I could to be there for him, and for him to drop me and replace me like I’m nothing has now been a wake up call. I think breaking NC is a good wake up call as well, as it really shows you who this person is but one definitely needs to be strong to not let it hurt you more.

But I no longer wait or build my life around her , I actually worked on me and now I can honestly say I am a better man. No contact works only if you work on yourself and build a life for you. Gym , family, friends and yes even Wednesday night trivia… someone better for you will show up when you are at your best , so don’t give up and start with one thing and build on it!! You know what I’ve begun to realize in just over three months of no contact? Even if they did come back and even if you have done all the work... they could just dump you again. The trust is gone. If they’re still the best when you’ve seen them at their worst but you’re not that for them, I’m saying, just move on!

What if you never got closure? Part of me knows deep down that he probably hates me, and I’ve moved on and am happy, but I am bothered almost everyday by the closure I never got.
If you have moved on and are happy, why do you need closure? Closure isn't important, it basically aligns with all the other feelings you experience during breakup, the idea that talking to that person will make everything alright. You need to find your own closure. Talking to your ex is going to open up a can of worms for both of you. So if you really are happy, let it go.
RubberNugget unfortunately you will never get closure! They don’t give it to you. Closure is something that you must get on your own! And trust me from personal experience don’t try to push them to give it to you it will just make things WORSE

Okay I want to share a tricks which I follow to calm the urge to contact I know,we all miss our ex. And when our brain once get stimulated by a lame logic to contact, we get crazy and try to believe that logic. Well, at that moment, accept that logic and accept that you will contact him / her. But after 6 hours from now. The moment you accept that you will contact, your anxiety will reduced and after 6 or whatever hours, your urge will get diminished

Vivek Nair I thought about my ex every single day after he ghosted me. I ended up watching this video + other videos for help. It was VERY hard. I counted 24 hours... day by day... i was waiting for phone call, manifested, checked emails etc. I got tired of it... eventually you will move on from it (you’ll still think about it) but you will move on. In my opinion, if you decided to stay friends or if the breakups was on good terms but you've gone NC for a while to get yourself back up, it's not very cool not reaching out on ex's birthday. You don't need to go on and on having a conversation, but a simple text message would be nice..

hello guys i have a very awquard position that i am currently facing before xmas i lost a baby to my current ex n i mean this year, i tok it very badly as i had a still birth at 16 and her bday is in june. My mood swings started to crack n i cud feel i was ready to just explode there was never a right time to bring it up as he had his own issue with work n at home as he lives with his mum who has mental health problems so hes trying to get his own place so with the greif of the baby at a stand still i started to act hot n cold on him as i believed he didnt care no matter how much he said he did. so cutting story short 4 weeks ago he sent me a msg telling me how he felt saying he cant handle my mood swings n the way i handle situations as i litrually freak out but thats coz of my anxiety issues which he knows. ive always listened to him when he came to me moaning bout work, his mum, or anything else but i felt i cudnt grieve because of it i felt i wasnt allowed. so he said he needed time n space but he wud still want to see me so the arguemtn accidentally exculated because i was meant to pick up summit of his mum n i told him i wont come in coz of him saying he needed space, he didnt like it n thought i was shutting him out so i cudnt win! so come the day i didnt know he was gunna wait n try to explain things better and at the time i didnt want to so i hardly said two words n told him i wasnt coming in things have been worse ever since he basically said he loves me but sees no future i then asked if he feels he made the right decision n he said i dont know so i started the no contacting him so he has to go thru my friend as hes picking his stuff up next weekend. can someone please help me because i am loosing my mind ive never had this situation before
My ex broke up with me over the phone 2 days ago, 😔 I am so numb and broken but I have the strength to applied no contact. A lot of people break NC the first time around. You can restart it, no issue. It will still have the intended effect. The only difference is that it just adds more time to the process. Just don't get into the habit of breaking it and then restarting it repeatedly.
I was my DA‘s ex first bf ( im anxious and so loving and caring but also worried and it‘s hard for me to trust ). What if my ex isn’t actually an official ex. We started as friends at work and he insisted in going out with me, we never went out but after a few months of texting and talking at work we were intimate in two ocassions. I later saw him with a colleague at work in his car and when I confronted him about it he told me she is just a friend of his ex wife and that Inwas confronting him as if we were an item when we are just friends. So I began no contact but since we work together I have to speak to him only for work stuff. Ex gf and I together what would’ve been 7 years this December. I’m 34, her 27. Two kids together. Rough relationship. Both immature in our own ways. Almost split up in the past but getting pregnant kept us together. Split up last April, from the time we split up she was talking to guys, trying to date. talked to omen seriously for a month or two maybe.. that went nowhere and we got back together in September. Started living together again, first 3-4 months were great. Lack of appreciation began and so did the fighting. I feel like it was on both our ends. She ended it again in Feb-March. Continued living together for financial reasons and the kids. She was constantly going out, trying to avoid me at all costs. Had moments where she would cry and be upset about the split. June I come home from work (I travel for work) and on my sons birthday she says I got approved for a house, I’m moving out... again. I was hoping if we just took things slow and be positive with each other we could work through it. I feel like her avoiding me made that difficult as she wasn’t going to let anything pull her back in. She moved out end of August. Met a guy at a concert. Beginning of October I was out of town and she drops a bomb on me that my kids already met him, at her families house. She’s now referring to him as her boyfriend. My sister told me that there first pictures went up on Facebook now. I will add that I was her first boyfriend, relationship.. first everything. She was 19.. I usually keep it to just the kids. She’s very short, doesn’t let any conversation steer off in any kind of friendly talk. Does she despise me that much.. she like this guy that much? Or does she know that any kind of friendly talk effects her and drawls her back in? She’s told me that I am a good guy and have so mNy good qualities. But everything we’ve done to each other makes it impossible for us to work. She said she feels like there’s somebody else out there for both of us that is more compatible? It could very well be a rebound and it could also be that she feels the need to explore the world. You guys got together before her brain had even fully matured. She didn't get to live her 20's like most people do and she already has 2 kids. Maybe she was wondering what life would be like on her own and the issues you guys had kept making those feelings get stronger. I'm only speculating based on what you wrote she said. The only thing I feel certain about is that her relationship with this new guy is probably going to fail miserably. Unless this happens to be the rare case where she really falls in love. I'm not sure about the percentage of that happening, but it usually isn't high. Either way, all you can do is respect her decisions and focus on yourself/kids. Keep all contact strictly about the kids and leave her alone otherwise. She has to realize things in her own time. Besides, I'm sure people are telling her she is moving too fast.
PandaEats back in September I dropped her. Cat off to her, because like I said I do travel for work. We had a couple drinks together after she laid the kids down. We were just hanging out talking on the front porch. Conversation turned sexual I guess you could say. She started crying saying one day we’re both going to get married, and not to each other. I said let’s not discuss that and changed the topic. I think we kissed? Then of course drunk me kept trying, she snapped and said “I want you in the moment, I don’t want this forever” I left, come back and she answered the door with him on the phone. That’s when I found out she was talking to somebody. I snapped and said something through the phone to this guy and left. She said she didn’t have a bf but probably will date him.. I leave for work. Entire time I’m gone she’s bitching about me traveling for work. Tells me I’m not stopping her from seeing him or dating. Which I wasn’t trying at all. I was working. Fast forward two weeks after that and she tells me the kids met him. I expressed my concerns that it was to fast for the kids. They’re still getting settled in a new house. She said that’s her decision and if she feels it’s serious then that is the time. I said I respect your decision but I do believe it’s to fast for the kids and it concerns me.

Mine did neither has always been kind and warm. Never cold but agreed that friendship would not work. So tempted to just reach out. It’s been 7 months and 2 months of no contact ( she reached out for my birthday and she agreed immediately to a meet up ) things went well but I didn’t get a romantic vibe from her. Was a good interaction stuck to why Rory recommends but after that she removed me from Instagram and unfollowed. I think about reaching out as we already had a meet up. I have found a new girlfriend, and I’ve been really happy with her for two years now :) What I learned from this is : they aren’t as special as you think, it’s the grief talking, you can fine the same love if not better with someone else ! You should let him be the one to initiate all contact, for now. Once things get more serious again, it can be more 50 50. Keep things light and don't bring up the breakup, unless he wants to talk about it.

Go silent right back. There isn't much you can do right now, but leave her alone. She'll probably be really surprised when she realizes you aren't trying to get her attention and reach out.

Hi Rory. I do have a question past hurts, have been the cause the up and down with my well I'll say a special person, because we have only been chatting online and are due to meet April 6th. But I admittedly embarrassing as it may be have been acting like the jealous girlfriend, and I'm working on myself and self-love insecurities. And I've been wanting to tell him have a heart-to-heart with him cuz I know where they come from my past marriage I was in 11 years and he constantly cheated on me. @@dialecticalspectacle experience..asking for space is always precipitating a break-up. I had one myself not long ago and she asked for one week, yours is 'a few weeks'. In her mind she's tried everything and this is the last thing - when she's saying this, she wants to break up and IS thinking about it but isn't quite ready to say it - it doesn't get any better from this point. Like I said, at least you know it's coming now and can know how to act in a way that doesn't make anything worse and gives you the most possibility to salvage something in future.
Hey Rory, your videos are really helping me at the moment! My ex broke up with me after a 2 1/2 year relationship with no real reason. I did a bit of pleading to get her back and when she said she doesn't think it will work between us anymore she initiated no contact on me! She blocked me on watsapp but nothing else and the last thing she said to me was "we need time apart no talking to help move on". How do I move forward with this, as I feel no contact is not going to work with her. How long has the NC period being going on for? Just because she implemented it, doesn't mean she will stick to it. If you are strict with NC on your side, it shows you respect her decision and it will begin to resonate with her. A lot of times our exes are technically the ones that start NC. My ex began to ignore me before I decided to get into NC. The difference is that he doesn't know what he's doing, so he doesn't understand the purpose or the "rule" behind it. So don't despair, just be as strong as you can.
The original NC had been going on for 4 weeks and I attempted to re-establish contact with her which failed because she was cold and distant! So NC has been going on for 2 weeks now... As I write this she has just text me! Her message is about not wanting to be on bad terms but still needing space. She hopes I'm okay.... I want to reply to her but I don't feel this message is positive at all. Can anyone help? X
@@lukesolomons8285 Were you following one of those 30 day NC rules other "coaches" suggest? Because that is total bs. NC is until your ex reaches out or if you share responsibilities. Even then the contact is limited to said responsibilities only. You can go about it in 2 ways, ignore it, or mirror what she is saying. Tell her you agree you both need space but that you can't offer her friendship. To please only contact you if she reconsiders working things out. Then just wish her well and go silent.

I saw my ex at a nyte class we go to; she literally parked ryte behind me were I was parked at the very end of lot and with a ton other spaces open.Kept cool in the room but my body language probably wasn’t.Newrly had a anxiety attack subsided after 15. then after the meeting I was on the phone in my car and she was just parked behind me with her lights on for a five minutes then left.Almost broke no contact that nyte. Not as bad as you think. The first time I broke NC was by mistake. I was having a moment where I wanted to reach out to my ex, so I started to write him a message. I actually managed to stop myself, but life was like "nahhh you're going to send this text". The phone suddenly slipped out of my hand and as I went to catch it I hit the send button to with my thumb. I sat there dumbfounded, convinced stuff like that only happens in the movies/TV. He didn't bother replying. I kept telling myself it wasn't a big deal and just restarted NC. That's all you can do, so don't worry about it. It isn't the end of the world.

I'm not gonna lie it hasn't got any easier for me. Right now it's 3 months and the last couple weeks have been the worst so far. This is very simple! NC works more for your ex not returning! If they left and didn’t return is because they never cared to begin with! When someone loves you they don’t leave, they stick it through no matter what! I have my doubts of NC, I personally think once the person disappears it’s done and they will not return! I’ve heard so many videos on NC and 80%
Of them they never return, only 20% have success stories! So it’s very clear, prepare yourself to suffer because they will not return!
All my exes have come back at one point or another. I think you're misunderstanding the main idea behind NC. It's to help the dumpee recuperate after the devastation of heartbreak and continue moving forward. An ex coming back is kind of like the potential cherry on top. Also, you shouldn't generalize someone leaving as them simply not caring. I know in my case I didn't help the situation and I kept pushing and pushing. My ex eventually had enough, he still loved me but that wasn't doing anything about my behavior so he only had one last option, to breakup.
PandaEats I am stating my opinion on all the videos that I have seen and also on my experience. My ex has not reached out to me since we broke up and therefore I’ve given up hope so I’m one of those in the 80% of them not reaching out!

Yea this is the worst. Checking your phone every time it rings or even every 5 minutes only to be disappointed that it's everyone but your ex.
I unfortunately broke no contact after 5 days. However Rory is completely right. There is no reason to make ourselves feel bad because someone we would drop everything for, is ignoring us. I’m completely baffled because I did everything I could to be there for him, and for him to drop me and replace me like I’m nothing has now been a wake up call. I think breaking NC is a good wake up call as well, as it really shows you who this person is but one definitely needs to be strong to not let it hurt you more.

Stopping by after no longer needing to listen to these videos! I too was up all night devouring each video holding on to hope she would come back! It’s been 4 months and no she has not reached out. But I no longer wait or build my life around her , I actually worked on me and now I can honestly say I am a better man. No contact works only if you work on yourself and build a life for you. Gym , family, friends and yes even Wednesday night trivia… someone better for you will show up when you are at your best , so don’t give up and start with one thing and build on it!! Last thing if you meet someone don’t destroy what you have built for her and cut everyone off. Continue to be busy with life and she will add to it . What if you never got closure? Part of me knows deep down that he probably hates me, and I’ve moved on and am happy, but I am bothered almost everyday by the closure I never got.
If you have moved on and are happy, why do you need closure? Closure isn't important, it basically aligns with all the other feelings you experience during breakup, the idea that talking to that person will make everything alright. You need to find your own closure. Talking to your ex is going to open up a can of worms for both of you. So if you really are happy, let it go.
RubberNugget unfortunately you will never get closure! They don’t give it to you. Closure is something that you must get on your own! And trust me from personal experience don’t try to push them to give it to you it will just make things WORSE
If he broke up with you then that is closure.
The key is radical acceptance. Look it up. Check the facts, stick to them, no emotional interpretations. It is what it is.

I know,we all miss our ex. And when our brain once get stimulated by a lame logic to contact, we get crazy and try to believe that logic.
Well, at that moment, accept that logic and accept that you will contact him / her. But after 6 hours from now.
The moment you accept that you will contact, your anxiety will reduced and after 6 or whatever hours, your urge will get diminished

My mood swings started to crack n i cud feel i was ready to just explode there was never a right time to bring it up as he had his own issue with work n at home as he lives with his mum who has mental health problems so hes trying to get his own place so with the greif of the baby at a stand still i started to act hot n cold on him as i believed he didnt care no matter how much he said he did. so cutting story short 4 weeks ago he sent me a msg telling me how he felt saying he cant handle my mood swings n the way i handle situations as i litrually freak out but thats coz of my anxiety issues which he knows. ive always listened to him when he came to me moaning bout work, his mum, or anything else but i felt i cudnt grieve because of it i felt i wasnt allowed. so he said he needed time n space but he wud still want to see me so the arguemtn accidentally exculated because i was meant to pick up summit of his mum n i told him i wont come in coz of him saying he needed space, he didnt like it n thought i was shutting him out so i cudnt win! so come the day i didnt know he was gunna wait n try to explain things better and at the time i didnt want to so i hardly said two words n told him i wasnt coming in things have been worse ever since he basically said he loves me but sees no future i then asked if he feels he made the right decision n he said i dont know so i started the no contacting him so he has to go thru my friend as hes picking his stuff up next weekend. can someone please help me because i am loosing my mind ive never had this situation before

A lot of people break NC the first time around. You can restart it, no issue. It will still have the intended effect. The only difference is that it just adds more time to the process. Just don't get into the habit of breaking it and then restarting it repeatedly.

What if my ex isn’t actually an official ex. We started as friends at work and he insisted in going out with me, we never went out but after a few months of texting and talking at work we were intimate in two ocassions. I later saw him with a colleague at work in his car and when I confronted him about it he told me she is just a friend of his ex wife and that Inwas confronting him as if we were an item when we are just friends. So I began no contact but since we work together I have to speak to him only for work stuff. Yesterday was his bday and I broke no contact to wish him happy bday and walked to the employee parking lot with him afterwards. Did I blew it forever????

Ex gf and I together what would’ve been 7 years this December. I’m 34, her 27. Two kids together. Rough relationship. Both immature in our own ways. Almost split up in the past but getting pregnant kept us together. Split up last April, from the time we split up she was talking to guys, trying to date. talked to omen seriously for a month or two maybe.. that went nowhere and we got back together in September. Started living together again, first 3-4 months were great. Lack of appreciation began and so did the fighting. I feel like it was on both our ends. She ended it again in Feb-March. Continued living together for financial reasons and the kids. She was constantly going out, trying to avoid me at all costs. Had moments where she would cry and be upset about the split. June I come home from work (I travel for work) and on my sons birthday she says I got approved for a house, I’m moving out... again. I was hoping if we just took things slow and be positive with each other we could work through it. It could very well be a rebound and it could also be that she feels the need to explore the world. You guys got together before her brain had even fully matured. She didn't get to live her 20's like most people do and she already has 2 kids. Maybe she was wondering what life would be like on her own and the issues you guys had kept making those feelings get stronger. I'm only speculating based on what you wrote she said. The only thing I feel certain about is that her relationship with this new guy is probably going to fail miserably. Unless this happens to be the rare case where she really falls in love. I'm not sure about the percentage of that happening, but it usually isn't high. Either way, all you can do is respect her decisions and focus on yourself/kids. Keep all contact strictly about the kids and leave her alone otherwise. She has to realize things in her own time. Besides, I'm sure people are telling her she is moving too fast.
PandaEats back in September I dropped her. Cat off to her, because like I said I do travel for work. We had a couple drinks together after she laid the kids down. We were just hanging out talking on the front porch. Conversation turned sexual I guess you could say. She started crying saying one day we’re both going to get married, and not to each other. Then of course drunk me kept trying, she snapped and said “I want you in the moment, I don’t want this forever” I left, come back and she answered the door with him on the phone. That’s when I found out she was talking to somebody. I snapped and said something through the phone to this guy and left. She said she didn’t have a bf but probably will date him.. I leave for work. Entire time I’m gone she’s bitching about me traveling for work. Tells me I’m not stopping her from seeing him or dating. Which I wasn’t trying at all. I was working. Fast forward two weeks after that and she tells me the kids met him. I expressed my concerns that it was to fast for the kids. They’re still getting settled in a new house. She said that’s her decision and if she feels it’s serious then that is the time. I said I respect your decision but I do believe it’s to fast for the kids and it concerns me.

Mine did neither has always been kind and warm. Never cold but agreed that friendship would not work. So tempted to just reach out. It’s been 7 months and 2 months of no contact ( she reached out for my birthday and she agreed immediately to a meet up ) things went well but I didn’t get a romantic vibe from her. Was a good interaction stuck to why Rory recommends but after that she removed me from Instagram and unfollowed. I think about reaching out as we already had a meet up. You should let him be the one to initiate all contact, for now. Once things get more serious again, it can be more 50 50. Keep things light and don't bring up the breakup, unless he wants to talk about it.

Go silent right back. There isn't much you can do right now, but leave her alone. She'll probably be really surprised when she realizes you aren't trying to get her attention and reach out.

@@dialecticalspectacle experience..asking for space is always precipitating a break-up. I had one myself not long ago and she asked for one week, yours is 'a few weeks'. In her mind she's tried everything and this is the last thing - when she's saying this, she wants to break up and IS thinking about it but isn't quite ready to say it - it doesn't get any better from this point. Like I said, at least you know it's coming now and can know how to act in a way that doesn't make anything worse and gives you the most possibility to salvage something in future.

Hey Rory, your videos are really helping me at the moment! My ex broke up with me after a 2 1/2 year relationship with no real reason. I did a bit of pleading to get her back and when she said she doesn't think it will work between us anymore she initiated no contact on me! She blocked me on watsapp but nothing else and the last thing she said to me was "we need time apart no talking to help move on". How do I move forward with this, as I feel no contact is not going to work with her. We've been broken up now for 2 months and in the mean time I have been working on myself and improving friendships, still no word from her!
How long has the NC period being going on for? Just because she implemented it, doesn't mean she will stick to it. If you are strict with NC on your side, it shows you respect her decision and it will begin to resonate with her. A lot of times our exes are technically the ones that start NC. My ex began to ignore me before I decided to get into NC. The difference is that he doesn't know what he's doing, so he doesn't understand the purpose or the "rule" behind it. So don't despair, just be as strong as you can.
The original NC had been going on for 4 weeks and I attempted to re-establish contact with her which failed because she was cold and distant! So NC has been going on for 2 weeks now...
As I write this she has just text me! Her message is about not wanting to be on bad terms but still needing space. She hopes I'm okay.... I want to reply to her but I don't feel this message is positive at all. Can anyone help? X
@@lukesolomons8285 Were you following one of those 30 day NC rules other "coaches" suggest? Because that is total bs. NC is until your ex reaches out or if you share responsibilities. Even then the contact is limited to said responsibilities only. You can go about it in 2 ways, ignore it, or mirror what she is saying. Tell her you agree you both need space but that you can't offer her friendship. To please only contact you if she reconsiders working things out. Then just wish her well and go silent.

I saw my ex at a nyte class we go to; she literally parked ryte behind me were I was parked at the very end of lot and with a ton other spaces open.Kept cool in the room but my body language probably wasn’t.Newrly had a anxiety attack subsided after 15. then after the meeting I was on the phone in my car and she was just parked behind me with her lights on for a five minutes then left.Almost broke no contact that nyte. Not as bad as you think. The first time I broke NC was by mistake. I was having a moment where I wanted to reach out to my ex, so I started to write him a message. I actually managed to stop myself, but life was like "nahhh you're going to send this text". The phone suddenly slipped out of my hand and as I went to catch it I hit the send button to with my thumb. I sat there dumbfounded, convinced stuff like that only happens in the movies/TV. He didn't bother replying. I kept telling myself it wasn't a big deal and just restarted NC. That's all you can do, so don't worry about it. It isn't the end of the world.
