Does it need to have the cable connected for it to work? Is it wireless and rechargable? As my car battery drained last time i would prefer to not charge it in the car unless absolutely necessary
Hiya, so just use or plug it in your car’s 12v socket after u start your car and leave it connected whilst driving. Then unplug when you turn the engine off. Leaving it plugged when car is off will definitely drain car’s battery.
The hardwire kit has a device which stops power the camera when the car battery drops to a preset voltage. So it can be always powered up then automatically turn off so your car battery doesn't go flat.
I think it depends on what region are you from, however I have now changed it to flat/3M adhesive as suction cup tends to disengage from windshield during cold/winter season as opposed to adhesive ones

That’s the anti-interference part of cable, (I have to do it again, looped it over around the mirror twice)

Sorry to hear that bowersj, I managed to removed all the cable and moved it to my other car without any problem. Hope it’ll be easier next time.
