Hero - my dashcam baulked on a firmware update using the MyNextBase Player and would not update or give me file access. All fixed now thanks to this method! :)
Hello i have a Nextbase 222 can you tell me should it start recording when i plug it in ?? it does record when i push the red button . my camera does not start recording auto . hope you can help . thanks bob
Your camera should turn on when you start the vehicle automatically. You should not have to push anything on it. It also should "wake up" if you have the parking mode on if someone walks in front of the vehicle and record for a few seconds. I would try to "factory reset" the camera see if it fixes the issue, if not you have something wrong with the camera. I can't remember off the top of my head but in one of the settings on the menu you should see factory reset, or factory default. Try that see if it helps. Thanks for watching.
I followed the instruction from Nextbase and couldn't get it. Then I followed yours and still nothing works. I extract the file to unzip and then drag to the sd card. I don't even get that small window saying it's copying the file. I follow along and my cam won't recognize anything. As far as it's concerned there is no file to update. When I look at the file on the card it says FW222B.bin. Yet when I plug the cam back in it won't automatically say it's updating or when I chose the Firmware update it just says there's an sd card error. And I have done the formatting option.

Way to fast and confusing.......... I didn't get a Glock with my kit........... I could strip down and rebuild my Glock but downloading updates very confusing.
What no Glock in the Box??? You got ripped off. Sorry for going to fast, on UA-cam there is no winning. lol If you go slow you get slammed, to fast you get slammed. Should work you may have to pause in between steps. I would definitely call and find out where your Glock is. Thanks for watching, hope you got it figured out.
What size micro sd card?
I have a 256 in mine, I tried a 512 but it didn't want to record on it. I think it says max of 64 on the instructions but the 256 worked fine for me. Thanks for watching.
I want a dash camera just in case the police tries to harm me !!! Nothing else...also automatic footage saving in case they try to tamper with evidence !!!
