Hi Everybody! Here are my follow up videos: Universal Mirror Dash Cam Direct Mount Kit ua-cam.com/video/fveZiDofnxg/v-deo.html and Direct Mount Kit for Rydeen dash cams ua-cam.com/video/cCpyHmiZqiY/v-deo.html Cheers!
Hi Alex. I have a Wolfbox G700, fitted to a 2004 BMW X5 E53 4.4I. Can you let me know, at your convenience, if you are aware of a bracket that will be compatible. Alternatively, give me some guidelines as to where I might begin my own search. Thank you for your very informative videos. I hope you are able to assist me in this endeavour.
@mistaimani5824 Hi mista imani! thanks man! ah yes, unfortunately the G700 does not have screw holes in the back, so the conversion kit will not work with it. Cheers!
Thanks Alex, I did see in your comments section the universal bracket. It’s about the same as strapping the cam to your mirror. I am looking forward to your mirror mounting modifications.
This is it! THIS was the video I was searching for a while ago and only found now! After finding out that it was even possible to have a dashcam/rear camera mirror setup (I didnt even know this was a thing until recently!), I kinda felt it was tacky just strapping it over my stock mirror. THIS is the way! Thank you for the video!
you single handedly answered all my most pressing questions -- not only in this video but others regarding which rear view mirror cam to purchase. tysm!!
This is great! I had ordered the Wolfbox G900 for my truck. Because of the shape of the mirror it would not work and was just about to return it to my dismay. This is just what I needed to make it work. Thank you for the video!
I am having the same problem with my Wolfbox G900 for my Jeep. I love the dashcam itself and it's features, but it's very annoying that I cannot fold down the drivers side sunvisor as the dashcam is in the way. It's also annoying that the adaptive cruise control box is in my recordings since the camera is behind it. I don't want to mount the dashcam anywhere different as I like the stealthyness of it being where the rear view mirror is, and I like how it doesn't take up any additional real estate in my field of view. I've tried a couple other models and they all have similar problems for my Jeep. Wolfbox does offer an OEM bracket to replace my rear view mirror, but their customer support cannot confirm it will fix my problems because they've gotten no customer feedback yet on the 2024 Jeep Wranglers with the issues I'm facing. I wonder if this conversion kit will work or if I should try the Wolfbox OEM bracket.
I wish I had seen this before I made my mirror dashcam purchase decision. I was determined to not use straps so that limited my choices severely. I wanted one that had Apple CarPlay capability, but I couldn't find any that mounted directly to mirror bracket, so I just decided to live without it. If I had seen this video first, I'd have had far more to choose from and could have gotten exactly what I wanted. 😭
I had no idea there were mounts like this for these dash cams. Very cool. I’m shocked this channel has only 47.3K subs. Stay at this, keep doing exactly what you are doing. This video is so well done. Your channel will grow if you keep doing videos like this one.
I learn so much from your videos! They are very clear, organized, thought out, etc, etc. You should be very proud of a job well done! If I lived near you I would have you do all my installs! Best wishes!
So glad I found this video! I love my VanTop H612T, but its weight has been enough to detach the mirror clip from the windshield twice now. I've looked for a direct-attach solution for months, but today is the day! Wow!! Thank you!
@@markborgmann7941 Hi Mark! yeah mine took a while too, I'm guessing because it's coming from overseas plus the delays with the situation going on at the harbors..
Alex . . . In regards to Dash Cams you are the top expert on YT . . . No doubt. So the Dash Cam Industry must be hearing your opinions. So I decided to share my opinion here. In my opinion . . . The things that prevent aware people from purchasing. 1) How they hook up . . . People don't want to remove & damage interior trim in a new car to run unsightly hard wires for an expensive item that is not going to be longterm. Solution: A) Connection between the Main Camera & Rear Camera needs to be Blutooth. Rear camera needs to be rechargeable ( USB-C ) and have a 24 hr (or more) capacity. 2) The entire system should be independently rechargeable and self-powered / have its own battery light weight enough to carry indoors if necessary ) and leave the main car battery alone. No messing with the fuse box / car battery / air bags / car trim . . . non-proprietary and easily replaceable by the owner & rechargeable. Leave the main car battery alone. No messing with the fuse box, car battery, grounding sys. , trim panels or the air bags C) Both camera's need to be more easily removable ( if BT'd the only wire needed would be one power wire to the main camera. Easy removal would provide better conds. for charging. cleaning, inspection and temporary antitheft. Hey CHINA . . . Do any of these have a visible blinking red led to deter vandalism? Why not?
Thank you James, I appreciate that! Ah good input, I imagine it maybe possible we will see a rechargeable dash cam at some point. The main challenges are fire and duration. The industry is moving away from batteries over to capacitors due to the high temperatures inside a vehicle and potential for a run away event (fire) during charging or discharging inside the car. Here is an example of a internal dash cam battery and what the sun did to it ua-cam.com/video/HW8jqbl_ayU/v-deo.html and a battery related fire I personally experienced ua-cam.com/video/XfWgJ8nu-RA/v-deo.html (destroyed the house). Duration will also need to be increased, current technology would likely require the dash cam to be recharged daily. The closest we have today is a system like this ua-cam.com/video/Ht9Q-0HlKMY/v-deo.html or this ua-cam.com/video/1c7raDpHx3M/v-deo.html with solar charging. For the LED to bring attention to the dash cam here are a couple ones that have it ua-cam.com/video/vUEsIYEBVck/v-deo.html and ua-cam.com/video/lwoSbiwjSik/v-deo.html Cheers!
Dude, thanks so much! Those "clunky looking straps" were hideous and did that gorgeous mirror NO justice. I have the 12" Jomise and had to get it because my back windows are tinted black (bought my car like that) and the regular mirror didn't work well with the dark windows. I removed my stationary rearview and put in the Jomise with the adapter that I didn't even know existed until I saw your video. Keep up the good work!! 👍😎 A++
Exactly what I was looking for, I'm getting 3 Wolfbox G900 soon and I want to fit them directly without the flimsy straps. One for my Suzuki Carry 1999, one for my Chevrolet Spark 2019 and one for my wife's Hyundai Venue 2022. Thanks for making this video 😊
You're welcome! And remember I put the links to the kit in the video description and here is my G900 review video ua-cam.com/video/eNK6ujrWWkA/v-deo.html where you will also find a discount code when you are ready for your G900s Cheers!
Glad I found this video I am considering getting the G850 and my current mirror wiggles so instead of fixing it Ill just get this bracket. So far all of your videos have been really helpful thank you.
Thank you Jas! Ah be careful with those measurements, I noticed both the the G850 and G900 measurements on their Amazon listing are incorrect (for G850 I mean for V2 G850 as V1 G850 did not have screw holes for mounting). I placed the correct measurements on the video description. I'll see if I can reach out to Wolfbox to get those numbers updated (full G850 and G90 conversion video coming stay tuned). Cheers!
I don't know if you remember that I told you & other of your videos that I bought the fitcamx that your review before... & with this video, now I will make it way better than now.. Bc the mirrors shake a little with the vibration of the car... Thanks bro
I have 7 vehicles with rear view mirror dash cams, Didnt know anyone made adapters. This is great, I'll have to get a few kits. Hopefully this will remove the annoying vibration issues with the strap design.
So Much Valuable information, with a fast pace! Subscribed. I just bought a GKU model M11. I will be watching your videos on installing my mirror cam to get a clean like factory look. Thank you So Much for your Channel!
@@cusial Hi cusial pradhan! I have not reviewed the GKU M11 yet, so I'm not sure what kit will fit, however you can measure the back of the dash cam as I showed in the video to determine the size but If I do get a hold of one of one, I will measure it for you and update this comment. Hope this helps, Cheers!
Your backplate video is very helpful. You indicated you had info about correct backplate for cams you reviewed. Would appreciate info on where to purchase correct backplate for Nexigo D90 mirror cam or at least correct strap screw hole distances for plate. Thank you
Thank you taratara dan! Unfortunately there is no kit yet for the Nexigo D90 that is an exact match. Some viewers have mentioned they used this one amzn.to/3INf2TI since it's super close in terms of size. I ordered one to test it out and will let you know once it gets here if it does work or if I find an exact fit for the Nexigo (I'm adding more kits to the video description as I find them) Hope this helps and stayed tuned!
Cool deal… I just received my Wolfbox 840… happy to see this in my recommended- I was gonna “Jerry Rig” a wrecking yard stock mirror- now I won’t have to do that 👍
Hi Alex, I just purchase this WOLFBOX G930 4K 10" Rear View Mirror Camera. I don't see you have reviewed this on your comments or your video, but I will do my research on to measure the holds in the back and see if I find a bracket that will fit this unit. thanks your video is fully informational to adapt the new bracket instead of using the straps.
Hi Juan! Ah yes the G930, unfortunately I have not reviewed it so I'm not sure what kit will fit, however you can measure the back of the dash cam as I showed in video to determine the kit size. And If I do get a hold of one, I will measure it for you and update this comment. Hope this helps and congrats on your new dash cam, I personally can't go back to a regular mirror now. Cheers!
Thanks.. I had considered a mirror style dash cam but couldn't find one for RHD cars with the camera on the other side.. And I really didn't like the strap method either. Glad to see there is a conversion kit
Hi S! Unfortunately I have not reviewed the G930 yet, so I'm not sure what kit will fit, however you can measure the back of the dash cam as I showed in video to determine the kit size. And If I do get a hold of one of one, I will measure it for you and update this comment, Cheers!
You are the man!! I recently bought a Pelsee P12 Pro but aside from it not looking nice when strapped, the extra weight was too much for the stock mirror to handle and i had to keep adjusting it while driving smh. This is perfect 💯
Thank you for another great video!! I have the Vantop 10" dashcam for my truck and I'mma buy this conversion kit so it looks more original. I have been looking for the Vantop 12" H612 or H612T for months so I can mount it on my Escalade and they've been sold out. I'll have to use the straps on that one because of the OnStar buttons built-into the factory mirror.
You're welcome canucha1985! ah yes for those types of mirror that have OnStar, garage openers or courtesy lights I think it makes sense to keep the original mirror installed..
@@poges2104 oh ok. Thank you for the heads up. I'll keep that in mind and maybe just stick with the original accessories for the h612 if I can ever find one.
What a great and highly informative video. Thank you so much for the links relating to each part we would need. Incredibly useful - coming to you in the future
You did a very good job and I do like the slicker version of this. I just bought one that has a rear view and the front view a record review and a front view but it doesn’t have that bracket on it. It has a whole bunch of rubber on the inside that goes from the bottom to the top And I don’t wanna mess it up by peeling it off. What do you think I should do by the screws up under there because it’s a ADDKEY add Chi front and rear touch mirror. I love you thank you for your information very great content. I love it and you just help me out a lot but let me know what you think about the screws are they under or if you find it on the Internet and you look it up please let me know. I don’t wanna damage it before. I put it on the mirror and have it scratch up anything. Thank you sir.
Thank you Lamar! Ah yes I seen that in a couple mirror dashcams. What I do, I use a hair drier on low to warm up the pads carefully (to avoid burning or melting anything), this lets the glue releases so the can be peeled off easily, If I don't find screw holes in the back then most of the time I can just re-stick the pad. I have not reviewed the Addkey, so I'm not sure what kit will fit, however you can measure the back of the dash cam as I showed in the video to determine the kit size. And If I do get a hold of one, I will measure it for you and update this comment. Hope this helps, Cheers!
Alex as always you are so professional and to the point for the questions we have. I would like to buy the vantop with the conversion kit for my 2010 tacoma. I hope the adaptor is the most common type. please let me know what to order if you know for sure. Thank you Alex, I really enjoy your videos.
Thanks for making this video, I have a mirror dash cam that I wanted to put in one of my cars but couldn’t do it because I didn’t have clearance to plug the wires into the top of the mirror (headliner starts coming down too low and I have no clearance). With this kit I will have the clearance I need since it will just be the one mirror and can adjust the height.
You're welcome Spencer! glad to hear it helped (yeah I ran into that issue on a couple installs where the line is just too close to the cables) Cheers from California bud!
Good point! Another downside of a direct fit conversion is that some OEM mirrors have buttons on them for garage control or On-Star, which in that case that functionality would be lost since the OEM mirror would be removed. Cheers!
Hi! EXCELLENT VIDEOS!!!!!!! BUT, what is the BEST dashcam for my Toyota Corolla? I would like a MIRROR DASH CAM that is 4K. Any advice? You're awesome!!!!
Thank you John! Ah here is a great choice for that ua-cam.com/video/eNK6ujrWWkA/v-deo.html And I have more mirror dash cam reviews on my channel in the playlist "Dash Cams Reviews" if you like to compare them. Cheers!
I'd like to change out my 2013 GLK350 mirror, but am concerned about the wiring. It's not the smartest that Merc makes . It only has auto dim I think. Should I just rip it out? I'm new to this and found you here. Love your content
Thank you Bob! ah yes that is one downsize of going with a direct mount. Here is a video where I show how I deleted a mirror that had wiring for it ua-cam.com/video/44WXN8MI66o/v-deo.html (on-star and other functions) Hope this helps!
You're welcome Luis! The normal mirror windshield tab is used on most cars however to confirm I always remove the mirror on the car before starting the conversion to check the mounting tab (I also placed links to specialty adapters in the video description) The other way It's done when dealing with a non standard mounting tab where I don't want to use an adapter is I remove the tab all together from the windshield and install a standard tab (link to the tab and windshield adhesive in the video description) Hope this helps, Cheers!
I got a new Wolfbox 840H, according to their website, they have 3 different bodies. Their newest one doesn't have any screws visible in the back. I was looking forward to using that mount linked in the desc.
Hi Andy! I have converted two G840H already with the kit (just received a 3rd one, may do a video on that showing it) However sometimes I do see small differences between product coming from the manufacturer directly vs Amazon (where I get all my stuff) that may be a possibility (but even within Amazon stock there could be different batches of the product). I didn't see on their site where it mentions 3 different bodies for the G840H, it does show the 3 models, the G840H, G840S and G880, but those are different dash cams, not sure if that is what you saw..
Thank you Michael! Ah yes the Jomise G814, unfortunately I have not reviewed it so I'm not sure what kit will fit, however you can measure the back of the dash cam as I showed in video to determine the kit size. And If I do get a hold of one, I will measure it for you and update this comment. Hope this helps, Cheers
Hi AP514! that's odd, you should be able to adjust them. The G840H is one of the few mirror dash cams that let you fully adjust the guidelines using your finger so they can be tweaked to fit pretty much any configuration (most mirror dash cams only provide partially adjustable guidelines, basically a few preset ones) I wonder if you need a firmware update. I'm on Firmware 1.7.77.20210821 if it helps, if you still can't get them to adjust I would also recommend contacting Wolfbox, I'm sure they can walk you thru how to adjust them. Hope this helps, Cheers!
Hi Alex, great vid and solves the problem 8n my 2011 Land Rover Defender Puma. So… is there a converter existing for this really dated, weird and uniquely Land Rover attachment? There is a hole in the head lining, no attachment to the screen! Just asking, great vid though!
Thanks Subsyairsoft! Ah yes there are some specialty brackets for mirrors that attach to the headliner, I placed links to them in the description, some that are labeled with for different car brands but as long as the mount matches your current mount stuff, it should fit (some car brands share mounting system). So I would recommend matching the picture of the specialty mount you think will fit to what your current mount looks like to confirm. The other option is with this system ua-cam.com/video/cCpyHmiZqiY/v-deo.html if you are using a Rydeen. Cheers!
Thank you! Ah regarding Rexing, I reviewed their M3 dash cam but it does not support conversion. However if you have a different Rexing dash cam you can measure the back of the dash cam as I showed in the original video here ua-cam.com/video/TtjZ7rC_ncY/v-deo.html to determine the kit size. Hope this helps, Cheers!
Great video, a lot of great information. Thanks! Do you or does anyone know where an adapter for a ford can be found? It is a hexagon shape, similar looking to adapter 2, but I don't think exactly the same.
Thanks yeskii! glad to hear it helped! it may adapter #2 as you pointed out, if you look a the kit is shows the Ford one amzn.to/3xKFlqt it looks just like adapter #2 I showed on this video. Hope this helps, Cheers!
A little off topic, but have you found a dash cam that does 1080x1920 @ 60fps on the rear view camera? I ended up going with the Urvolax w/ the OEM style mirror bracket for 250.00 usd off of amazon, since it seems like the best price for features, size, and quality. It has 2 detached cameras from the mirror, 1920x1080 60fps front camera, and 1920x1080 30fps rear camera, but I keep mine in rear view mode 100% of the time, but the laggy 30fps from the rear view is disappointing. I didn't see any that did 60fps rear even if the front camera was a higher resolution, but your video reviews of the different mirror dash cam's on the market helped me make an informed choice and gave me a good idea of what features I should look for. Keep up the vids, your channel will grow for sure since you are one of the few people who do videos on lesser known car accessories.
Hi ZXR! yes I'm currently testing a dashcam that claims to be able to support high frame rate for both front and rear cameras. However it is not a mirror dash cam, for mirror dash cams most are at 24/25 fps and a few like the one you got are able to hit 30fps. But I will keep an eye out for a mirror dash cam that can do high frame rate, I'm sure at some point in the future we will see one. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!
Great video. I have several questions. I have a 2018 Toyota Sequoia TRD Sport 1. What mirror would you recommend as a replacement for my factory backup mirror 2. What mounting kit would I need? 3. can it connect to an existing factory backup camera?
Hi Don! It comes down to what you are looking for in a mirror dashcam. I run different ones on my cars so what I usually tell people looking for the right dash cam for them is to start by picking how many cameras does it need to have (2 or 3). Now that you have narrowed your selections, consider how much you want to spend on one, that will narrow your choices even further. Then consider any special features you are looking for such as 360° video, Side Camera, Detached Cameras, Wi-Fi, BSM support, Auto Brightness, Back up to SSD, Parking monitor without hardwire Etc. Finally you would want to compare video quality of your final choices. And I just began working on a video to compare my top picks for different categories, Stay tuned, Cheers!
I'm curious if you will be reviewing the new Rydeen Tombo 360 dash cam. It has some very awesome features that I haven't seen in other dashcam mirrors. Two of my favorite features are the radar sensor to record people getting close to the vehicle, and automatic screen dimming.
Hi Hammer! I may have to add it to the list of reviews, but as far I understand the radar sensors are for parking not for triggering the dash cam, but I will definitely take another look (By the way, you didn't hear it from me, but I got another dash cam review coming that is going to take the concept of the Rydeen Tombo 360 to a whole new level, that's all I can say right now lol) stay tuned bud!
Definitely a lot easier than how I did it. I plastic welded mine to the original housing 🤣 look good after welding, sanding, and painting. But was a ton of effort.
Hi Josh! Oh wow haven't heard about that method, interesting, I wonder if that would work for mirrors that don't have screw holes in the back. How solid did the mirror felt? And I'm assuming the mount kit you used was also plastic? allowing u to bond plastic to plastic (Some are aluminum) Cheers!
@@AlexAutoFun I didn’t use a mount kit actually. I just attached the plastic mirror to the plastic dash cam using plastic rods, backed with stainless steel mesh. It’s actually super sturdy!
I am a step away from completing the full conversion but I cannot get my oem mirror off and it's aggravating me. It's the one with the metal clip but the clip is not being released, it feels stiff
I just ordered the mirror delete bracket. i havethe 840s and my car is a 07 toyota highlander. hopefully i dont need any type of adaptor or bracket metal things
Hi there ALEX. Thank you for the time doing reviews like this. I’m planning on buying Vantop H612T rear view mirror dash cam but, I would like to know what kind of convention kit I can use and where to buy it. I already subscribed to your channel. Please give me a head’s up once you have the info: good luck to your upcoming videos.
You're welcome Kristiel! Ah yes, I show how to tell which adapter you will need at the 5:40 mark and you can also see what they look like so you can compare to the one on your car. I also placed links to the specialty adapters in the video description. Cheers!
Thanks Alan! yeah I notice they sell out as soon as they bring more in, must be a combination of the supply chain issues we are seeing and maybe some folks that have the item on their wishlist jumping on them as soon as they bring more, just keep an eye on them. Hopefully they will increase production of this adapters soon (but kind of like everything right now, I know we may not have much choice but wait till the factories return to normal production capacities ugh)...
Thank you Alan! also check out the bracket for the G840H! they just got more in! I would hop on it before they are gone again here it is amzn.to/3INf2TI Cheers bud!

Hey, I had not seen you until today but I was very impressed with what I saw, very straightforward and simple. So I was wondering if a wolfbox can be adapted to work with the original rearview mirror wiring of a 2003 Chevy Suburban, and if so what would you recommend?
@RPacheco1157 Thank you! Ah the kit fits most vehicles without the adapter and the adapters shown in the video can be used for specialty cases. And I placed links in the video description to the adapter if you need them. Cheers!
wow thanks for sharing - I made something similar for myself with the added ability to flip the mirror 12 degrees like a car's normal night/day mode. Wish ANSHILONG would add that to their mounts.
Another great video! I think you have reviewed the Wolfbox G880 and G700. If you have time to check, could either of them be mounted as you described, without the straps? Best wishes.
Thank you Luke! ah yes regarding the G700 and G800, unfortunately they do not have screw holes in the back, so the conversion kit will not work with it. Cheers!

Hey Alex I recently found your channel and I bought the wolf box 850 along with the hardwire kit and the universal conversion kit. Unfortunately my mirror bracket is one of the “special” ones lol😂 if I buy the mirror bracket for Honda that you linked in the description will I be able to mount my mirror? Muchas gracias Alex están muy chidos tus videos!
Thank you Jose! Ah there are a couple ways it could be done if your mount is the special Honda type (I usually double check the type by removing the original mirror to confirm) One would be with an adapter kit like this one amzn.to/3xKFlqt or with this kit amzn.to/49Q4lhp (assuming your bracket has been confirmed to be one of the odd ones) or finally the other way would be to have the installer swap the specialty bracket with a standard one (I placed links to the standard bracket and adhesive on the video description). Saludos Amigo!
Hi Cristopher! Unfortunately I have not reviewed the Rexing M2 yet, so I'm not sure what kit will fit, however you can measure the back of the dash cam as I showed in video to determine the kit size. And If I do get a hold of one of one, I will measure it for you and update this comment, Cheers!

Hi Rudy! I have just converted my 3rd G840H using the 14.5 X 6.0 Kit here is the video showing the conversion ua-cam.com/video/ns_2C-ph2no/v-deo.html) But I have heard that there may be a 2nd body style for the G840 (so far I have only see one body style but I think it would make sense to double check the size of your G840 before ordering the kit) Hope this makes sense and hope you like your conversion! cheers bud!
@AlexAutoFun. Thank you for the very useful info. I have added an OEM rear view mirror to my Mercedes Sprinter cargo van to attach a Wolfbox G900 camera. However, the overhead console blocks the front-facing camera completely. Do you know if there are longer arms or arm extensions available that I can bring the mirror (and the front-facing camera) lower to clear the overhead console that is blocking its view? Thank you very much for your help.
Hi Tat! For those cases you would want a dash cam with detached cameras so they can be positioned away from any obstacles. You're welcome Michael! Regarding the mirror adapter, you can see illustrations of what they look at the 6:42 mark, what they look like in real life at the 7:52 mark. Their appearance is very distinct from each other. Additionally I placed links in the description to them including specialty adapters if you want to see more pictures of them so you can match them to the one on you car. Hope this helps, Cheers!
This video is JUST what I was looking for - now I'm trying to find a mount that fits Rexing M1 Pro - holes are 13.5 CM apart horizontally and 5CM apart vertically. If there's not one that fits, I guess I could go the drill route. :) Does anyone know of a mount with those hole dimensions?

Thank you for all your videos! You are super helpful! I’m looking for a bracket for the Euki M11 but having trouble. The measurements on the back screws seem to be roughly 13.2x5.8. Do you know of a bracket that would fit?
You're welcome Matt! ah no I haven't reviewed the Euki one yet so I can't confirm, but those measurements look very close to the Vantop size which uses this one amzn.to/3r9ryH5 If you do order it and confirm it works please let us know and I can update this comment, hope this helps bud!
The universal direct mounting kit you have listed for my Nexigo D90 Dash Cam on Ebay does not work. The screw holes do not line up at all. Are there any other kits out there that may be adjustable?
Hi Redline! The kit I linked for the Nexigo is from Amazon not Ebay, not sure which link you are using. I have converted several D90's using that kit but notice that it does require modification to work (the kit is what I call the universal kit). The link to the video showing the modification is also on the video description below the link to the mounting kit. Cheers!

Cheers!
Thanks Alex,
I did see in your comments section the universal bracket. It’s about the same as strapping the cam to your mirror.

“Medal” could be used as term like a Medal Of Honor MOH a medallion an object like a thing you wear.
You're welcome BargainPaper! Glad to hear it helped 😁
you single handedly answered all my most pressing questions -- not only in this video but others regarding which rear view mirror cam to purchase. tysm!!
You're welcome Ivan, glad to hear it helped, Cheers!
Where is that video?
This is great! I had ordered the Wolfbox G900 for my truck. Because of the shape of the mirror it would not work and was just about to return it to my dismay. This is just what I needed to make it work. Thank you for the video!
You're welcome and congrats on your new mirror dash cam, Cheers!
Very cool.

Alex . .
No messing with the fuse box, car battery, grounding sys. , trim panels or the air bags
C) Both camera's need to be more easily removable ( if BT'd the only wire needed would be one power wire to the main camera.
Excellent video , now I can install my Wolfbox with confidence. Amazon- Wolfbox OEM bracket measurements are 13.6 and 6.1 cm for the G850.
Thank you Jas! Ah be careful with those measurements, I noticed both the the G850 and G900 measurements on their Amazon listing are incorrect (for G850 I mean for V2 G850 as V1 G850 did not have screw holes for mounting).

Welcome to the Channel Nathan! 😎
Thank you sir , happy holidays 🥳.
The reason i keep the original mirror is for that flip switch. If my camera fails i can hit the switch quickly and not have to adjust the mirror
Good point! Another downside of a direct fit conversion is that some OEM mirrors have buttons on them for garage control or On-Star, which in that case that functionality would be lost since the OEM mirror would be removed. Cheers!

Install completed...works well. The only complaint is the Backup lines can not be adjusted for Width. So my SUV is wider than the back up lines :0
Hi AP514! that's odd, you should be able to adjust them.
Cheers!
Great video! Have you tried any of these conversion kits on the Rexing series of mirror dash cams?

@@AlexAutoFun Thanks for the swift reply. In all honesty, I just want a better view of the rearview. I don't need all the bells and whistles.

With all the extra holders etc, is it the same weight irregardless or does removing the OEM mirror make it much lighter?
Hi! Correct, removing the original mirror makes it much lighter than stacking the LCD mirror dash cam on top of the OEM mirror. Cheers!
You're welcome Louie! here you go amzn.to/3r9ryH5 and welcome to the channel bud!
Can you please link the Volkswagen adapter? ☺️🙏 Thank you for the video!!
You're welcome Kristiel! Ah yes, I show how to tell which adapter you will need at the 5:40 mark and you can also see what they look like so you can compare to the one on your car. I also placed links to the specialty adapters in the video description. Cheers!
Great video again man thank you so much but the wolfbox G840H is no longer available any other ones you think could fit?
Thanks Alan! yeah I notice they sell out as soon as they bring more in, must be a combination of the supply chain issues we are seeing and maybe some folks that have the item on their wishlist jumping on them as soon as they bring more, just keep an eye on them. Hopefully they will increase production of this adapters soon (but kind of like everything right now, I know we may not have much choice but wait till the factories return to normal production capacities ugh)...
@@AlexAutoFun thank you and thanks for the fast response keep up the good videos
Thank you Alan! also check out the bracket for the G840H! they just got more in! I would hop on it before they are gone again here it is amzn.to/3INf2TI Cheers bud!
The one he keeps posting for the G840H is for the G840S.. there are no screw holes hidden or otherwise on back of the G840H
@Joshua Mietzner Hi Joshua! I have converted two G840H already with the kit. I just received a 3rd one here is the video showing the conversion ua-cam.com/video/ns_2C-ph2no/v-deo.html However sometimes I do see small differences between product coming from the manufacturer directly vs Amazon (where I get all my stuff) that may be a possibility (but even within Amazon there could be different batches of the product). Hope this helps, Cheers!
Thank you so much! My mirror looks so janky being strapped on to my mirror that's to big so its offset 😅
You're welcome!
Cheers!
Thanks Alex, appreciate you getting back to me.
@@RPacheco1157 You're welcome!
wow thanks for sharing - I made something similar for myself with the added ability to flip the mirror 12 degrees like a car's normal night/day mode. Wish ANSHILONG would add that to their mounts.
You're welcome Kidicarus and yes that is a very cool idea!
Cheers!
@@AlexAutoFun That helps very much. Thank you! :)

Este hombre es increíble que gran trabajo realizas mis felicitaciones y bendiciones.
Tendrás algún video de un panel de switch de fusibles para carro para conectar luces extras ya sabes.
Nuevamente gracias

Thanks for a fantastic video.
You're welcome Lou!
Hello, awesome movie, what set up can i buy for a vw ?
Thank you! I placed the links to the different kits in the video description. Cheers!
Very excellent and detailed video. Kudos to you👏👏👏
Thank you C Rumble! I appreciate that! 🍻
Nice job showing installing them without installing them.
Hi MC! LOL here is the install video ua-cam.com/video/44WXN8MI66o/v-deo.html this maybe of what you are looking for, hope this helps and cheers bud!
Are there any for the rexing m2??
Hi Cristopher! Unfortunately I have not reviewed the Rexing M2 yet, so I'm not sure what kit will fit, however you can measure the back of the dash cam as I showed in video to determine the kit size. And If I do get a hold of one of one, I will measure it for you and update this comment, Cheers!
Top notch video. Thanks
You're welcome and thank you Walter!
Nice presentation Bro. 🍻
Thanks Man! 🍻
Yo Alex this video is great bro! I actually just purchased a Rexing M2 do you have the kit info for that?
Thanks S-T Reactions! Unfortunately I have not tested the Rexing M2 yet, so I'm not sure what kit will fit, however you can measure the back as I showed in the video to determine the size but If I do get a hold of one of one, I will measure it for you and update this comment. Hope this helps, Cheers!
@@AlexAutoFun cool that will work! I saw the other video you mentioned and I plan on seeing if I can make it work that way. Thanks for the feedback. 💪🏾
@@s-treactions2952 You're welcome!
I think there is a mistake in the conversion kits, the Kit 14.5 x 6.0 is not for a Wolfbox G840H, the Kit 13.5 x 5.9 is the correct one.
Here are some good choices that have feature ua-cam.com/video/zEvk-2z_zQY/v-deo.html and ua-cam.com/video/JJKbUu_egiE/v-deo.html and ua-cam.com/video/dVcfFVLCXbY/v-deo.html Cheers!
if ur wondering what mounting type your mirror has.. just check for a replacement original mirror online and inspect the mounting type from the pictures :)
That is a great tip Dellins! thanks for sharing!
Thanks for the Video Alex, is there an adaptar kit for 70mai wide mirror dash cam?
You're welcome Armando! I have not reviewed the 70mai mirror dash cam but some people have said this kit fit for it amzn.to/3ubyMfv however I have not tested this myself. If you do order it and are able to convert your dash cam please let us know! hope this helps and cheers!
@@AlexAutoFun thank you Alex
Very interesting! I didn’t know we could buy these conversion/adapter kits 🎉 If anyone knows of one for a new Citroen C3 III would you let me know? It has a weird custom rear view mirror mount I can’t find anywhere.
Hi Jon Lauridsen! yeah they just came out so it's a fairly recent product. If the Citrogen mount is different from the ones I showed on this video, here is a rear mount arm for Citroen that may work amzn.to/3d91uYr Hope this helps, Cheers!
Hello dear
Do you have any information for mirror dashcam oem one cable 12 inch is that available ?
NICE… but I do have the Akaso DL 12 which are in my CIVIC hatch 2017 & Highlander 2008 Limited . Hoping u can get me the kits . Thank you😊 so much
Hi bobpin18! thank you! Unfortunately I haven't reviewed the Akaso yet but as soon as I can get a hold of one to measure I will update the list of matching kits in the description. Hope this helps and thanks for watching bud!
Hey AutoFun! Thanks for your highly informative video. I am thinking of converting mine here. We have the same mirror dashcam (VanTop), btw, do you know of any mirror bracket to use for my 2021 Toyota Highlander? Please send a link if you have. 😊😊
Hi William! glad to hear it helped, nope unfortunately there are no kits with those dimensions yet but here is my follow up video for this cases ua-cam.com/video/fveZiDofnxg/v-deo.html Hope this helps, Cheers!
Hi William! I was reviewing comments to see if I miss any and I actually have a follow up video that may help you (if you are still looking to direct mount the dash cam) here you go ua-cam.com/video/fveZiDofnxg/v-deo.html Cheers!
Thanks this was a great informative article 👍🏿

Hi Alex, good afternoon. Hope you are doing well. May I know what is the right mounting braket for Pelsee 10 Pro rear view camera. Thank you.
Hi Rene! I have not reviewed the Pelsee 10 Pro yet, so I'm not sure what kit will fit, however you can measure the back of the dash cam as I showed in video to determine the kit size. And If I do get a hold of one of one, I will measure it for you and update this comment, Cheers!
Ordered. I will update you once received. Thanks!
@@mattmcclanahan4548 Awesome! you're welcome bud!
The bracket came in today but unfortunately it does not fit
@@mattmcclanahan4548 Oh man, were you able to tell which dimension was too short or too long?
The universal direct mounting kit you have listed for my Nexigo D90 Dash Cam on Ebay does not work. The screw holes do not line up at all. Are there any other kits out there that may be adjustable?
Hi Redline! The kit I linked for the Nexigo is from Amazon not Ebay, not sure which link you are using. I have converted several D90's using that kit but notice that it does require modification to work (the kit is what I call the universal kit). The link to the video showing the modification is also on the video description below the link to the mounting kit. Cheers!
Smart man and thank you
Thank you and you're welcome!
I wish I had seen this before I cracked the windscreen and the rearview mirror of my 32 year old antique while trying to install this properly on my mirror!!!!
