Nextbase 322GW Dashcam Fitting And First Use Update

An update video on the Nextbase 322GW I fitted a couple of weeks ago. With A little bit of thinking and effort I have rerouted the wiring and I think it looks a lot better. Also I have recorded a few incidents while driving since fitting the dashcam.

We've got the same model front and rear dashcams in our two cars.
The only issues we had were with the self adhesive pads that are intended to hold the heavier front cameras to the windscreens.
It just didn't seem able to cope with the extra weight ?
And the more the camera worked loose - and had to be refastened - the less sticky the pads became.
The front cameras in both cars used to eventually 'droop' and in mine, last week on the M6 it suddenly dropped and dangled on its connections !
We've now replaced the pads in both cars with the Nextbase 'suction cup'
They seem to be holding 🤔 Fingers crossed then

Cheers laaaa. Yeah... I rushed it when I first installed it. I think fitting the reverse camera helped as I needed to move the wires a little to fit that. All looks a lot better and tidy. Ian...
Much neater. Our dash cam is wired to cig lighter, but with our new car , the lighter is always on, so need to rewire to fuse board with a piggy back fuse connector. Mark

@@ForTheLoveOfCaravans lol,I'll let you know how I go tomorrow ,I'll actually ( I don't really do my own DIY , mainly music vids, but if i mess up ( prob will ) it's still maybe help how not too, you did a great job in the nooks n crannies tbh,I looked at mine early today and that tool hopefully will help , I don't tbh want it looking like an explosion at a cable co ! These when they go in I'd say not too distant future will be totally wireless with eg a Samsung Touch pad charge style option and hold that charge via solar energy
Considering getting a dashcam. Do you have a rear cam fitted too?
This dashcam is now in my Wife's car. I so made up with I bought a higher model the 522, I got the cab cam and the rear view cam for half price so snapped them up.
How did you manage to put it into your cigarette lighter

This is really sht quality for 1080p, very grainy. I have used cheaper cameras that were way better then this. The Yi smart dash cam I bought for £35 three years ago has superior video compared to this. Nexbase have crappry lenses in their low to mid range cameras. You need the 422gw at least to get a proper high quality recording.
Looks good on my PC. Will have to tweak the the rendering settings on my editor

I disagree... it was perfectly fine on my PC. I guess by today's 4k resolution 1080p will not look so good.
