Day 27: This is a comment by a guy called Mr1Skill7 I read on a Cybershell video (Not a video by him, one about him) :
“In the first minute of his last livestream in which he played Shadow the Hedgehog, he stated that Sonic 06 made him not care for Sonic for about a decade. While this was most likely intended as a joke, I quite honestly believe there is some truth behind it. It's no secret that he took a very long break from creating edited videos lasting for almost ten years and this might be due to him losing interest in the Sonic games in general. Some people might know this feeling of being obsessed with a certain media franchise or general topic and losing interest after a certain period of time. So his initial fascination, which in his case resulted in his videos, slowly came to a stop.
My theory is that the exact same thing happened during 2017: due to the upcoming Sonic Mania, a game that resonated with him on a very personal level because it reminded him of his childhood, he started making videos again; meaning he probably regained that drive for creating them. However, this motivation stopped shortly after Sonic Mania released, since all the hype died down. Taking a closer look at his videos, it becomes obvious that his uploads slowed down significantly right after Mania released. To be exact, only four videos were made after he gave his opinions on that specific game, standing in stark contrast to the twelve he created in the pre Mania era.
Keeping all this in mind, it is very likely that he stopped creating videos because he simply lost interest in Sonic as a franchise. As someone already mentioned in another comment, the videos we got were all ideas he had for a very long time and this indicated he talked about these topics because he was personally interested in them. While in normal circumstances he could just return whenever he feels like it again, this can not be said about the current situation due to the fact that money is involved and he would have to answer some very unpleasant questions.

I feel like this might actually be it sadly. Why he would disappear from youtube and social media? Well put yourself in Cybershell’s shoes. How are you gonna tell all of your fans that you don’t want to keep making Sonic videos when you’re making $1000 a month? But once again he seemed to REALLY like making these vids in the “Cybershill” Patreon video that he made.
that makes the most sense as to why he left. the reality is , he only likes 2d sonic...he must of played sonic 1,2, cd, 3 and k dozens of times...when this channel was made in 2007....he was probably already sick of sonic and had no hope for it.

I loved this comic growing up and it was sad to see it go the way it did. Elson’s artworkwas amazing and combined with Kitchings writing was a perfect match 👌
I didn’t mind some of the side stories and I especially liked the knuckles sides stories, particularly the ones focused on his role as the guardian of the chaos emeralds and being the last of his kind (until he encounters Dr Zachary)
This was my Sonic as a kid and I still remember some of my favourite stories and character moments

“Cyber Razor Cut” is a reference to a particularly hilarious jingle, used in the very slang-heavy TV commercials for Sega hardware and games in the UK, back in the early 90’s. Viewers were encouraged to “get a cyber razor cut”, if they wanted any of the Sega gaming experiences which the adverts rapped about. The sales outcomes from this ad campaign were very mixed. But of course, Fleetway thought they might as well jump on this bandwagon in their first published issue of StC, seeing as the issues in their first year featured comic stories for a variety of Sega games for which they were given the license. This was something which I believe they gave up on in later years, as the sonic-centric stories became more popular, and they eventually got a greater roster of characters for which they could do strips, in any single issue. So strips about Golden Axe, or Streets of Rage - detailed and well written as they usually were - became a much less necessary filler for the comic’s pages.
