Whoever yelled "arms in" to the Rzr driver -- A+
Colt
Major credit to the guy who shouted " wo wo wo hand in hand in " when the ATV rolled. It could have been nasty without that timely save.
Colt, I think.
Hand still didn't go in though, they were lucky
that rock saved him from a LOT of rolling!!! God put that rock there YEARS ago for right now! literally! that would have been horrible day.
@@outdoors-gs9td that was a nasty spot. I wouldn't be surprised to find out other vehicles have come to rest against that rock. In Colorado there's a nasty spot with a big bolder like that and I've seen a couple pictures of rollovers stopped by it
@@4wheelliving132 God put those rocks there a long time ago with a reason for sure! beautiful country. i hunt and seeing big Mule deer was nice!
Customer: "So, do I hire a pilot, a four-wheelin' crew, or a towing company?"
Matt: "Yes"
😂😂😂
Gives the words "Aircraft Carrier" a whole new meaning.
3 of the craziest thing I've ever seen happened that day... 1. That poor guy in the rzr almost died and I'm not sure he even knew it. That rock was totally in the right place at the right time. 2. Recovering a plane with a vehicle, I had no idea planes were that light. I think they said total was 1200 lbs. And 3. Lizzy walking off the mountain alone. She is the real deal! Thanks for inviting us out Matt, awesome day 👌 -from other Matt
And he almost crushed his arm just before almost dying. His lucky day getting out of there unharmed
My stomach dropped when he started rolling.. that's a LONG way down.
that rzr tiping was a brown pants moment !
He definitely knew it. Watch how long it takes to get a response of only, "ya, i'm good". Glad everyone came off the recovery safely.
Way to go Lizzy!!! You're the queen of the off road trails.
I love how every other video clip from scouting was "Oh look another nice Buck" 😂😂
Yes.
Duly marked on the GPS for hunting season.
Even with camouflage, some deer hunters are easy to spot.
That 3rd buck spotted looked to be VERY nice.
Lizzy is developing superhero status. She just does whatever. You go girl.
Oh, awesome recovery too. Scary as.
Lizzie definitely should make a channel! There’s things she does that many guys I know wouldn’t do.
Absolute Utah badass!
That UTV roll was a little luck away from horrible. Happy Thanksgiving everybody!
Saw that arm, and thought the worst. Thank goodness.
Thanks Travis Have AWonderful DAY
If that rock wan't there...
Good living earns you one of those once in a while
back in my four wheeler days I saw a guy roll down a mountain, it was not a pretty sight, they didn't get killed but they had a long hospital stay
Lizzy needs a channel with all her activities. She's an impressive person. Makes all us Utahns proud.
Ive been saying she needs to make her onlyfans already 🙄
She does have a channel. But there is not much on it. I suspect that it would be a full time job to do that.
@@Yamaha350w -- Keep dreaming.

@@Yamaha350w what a slug you have to be to say that, grow up.
Lizzie is such a cool person. Every video I’m amazed by her. I thought she was kidding that she had to make an appointment and she was going to walk down the mountain! The whole epic drone b-roll of her trekking down was absolutely hilarious, the mad lad, she actually did it 😂
Literally! She’s such a badass and so cute too😂😂😂
Love the authenticity. No show boating just real life good folks
I said it before and I'll say it again. The state of Utah should be paying you guys for all the exposure to the absolutely stunning natural beauty. It really makes me want to go there.
No words. Next you'll be recovering a sunken submarine. Oh wait, the Golden Nugget qualifies.
Hats off to anyone ... Man or woman that can take matters into their own hands! Way to go Lizzy
I'm latin, from the Caribbean actually, so let me see how can I explain this in english.... One of the things I admire most about Matt and everybody around him, is that no one behave or believe as they are the best of what they do. Everybody gives ideas, discuss them and take the better one, no arguing , and if doesn't work, well ... brainstorming again. Its like they are all super god friends and family. There is so much respect on the air.
The fact that he call for help when he knows he wont get them out, says it all. Down to earth, sure of what hes is capable off all the time.
Best regards from the Dominican Republic to all of you guys
Very well spoken, it takes complete respect to work that well as a team.
Team work at its finest .👍
3:34 Very clever, Rudy. "We've never done an airplane before but my dad assembled the 'Wright' team".
I can almost hear Ed's calm, slow drawn voice casually say to Matt, while looking straight ahead: " that guy back there just rolled off the mountain, and it's 65 degrees and sunny".
Too funny!
"...We'll git im out"
That hurt, I wasn't expecting your comment to be so funny, I laughed so hard that it hurt me 😂😂😂
WOW! What a mission, thanks for taking us along!
That Lizzie sure operates on another level! What a gal.
Rudy is a quick thinker. This video really showed just how intune he is with what's happening and the tools he has on hand.
Lizzy is awesome! Walking off the mountain alone takes some serious gusto. Well done
I think Matt tricked a couple of them into going - calls them up and says "Hey a bunch of us are going out for wings" :-) Great video!

@@powershop1903 it’s great content. I don’t think these type of recoveries would be profitable without the channel. Most of the people are probably going up for the fun, Matt probably pays expenses.
@@powershop1903 .. i think most of them were Buddies who were along for the ride ( unpaid except for maybe lunch )
@@powershop1903 I think the bulk of the money comes from selling stuff on UA-cam and/or whatever other UA-cam income streams there are.
Lizzy is truly a trooper to have walked out of there…… and she does it EVERY TIME I watch this episode. 🤣🤣🤣
Good job everybody. Gotta say, Lizzy is quite the Bad A!
When Rudy says, "I know my dad assembled the Wright team" he dropped that pun without even blinking! 😂
Wow I usually don't miss those.
Props to Rudy for jumping into action and getting a line on that UTV quick! He saw how sketchy it was and go the situation handled like a boss!
I saw that too!! Rudy knew without discussion what needed to happen NOW!
Hats off to the editor. That’s where this channel really shines
Lizzy is such a badass!! Love her attitude!!
I want to thank Matt and crew for sharing Ed with the world. Not sure what it is about that man but he always makes me smile when I get the privilege of seeing him in a video, God bless you all.
Very True!! God Bless Ed, Matt and everyone of the crew!!
Amen!
Yes agreed . I can't wait to see him when he gets the golden nugget
I agree Ed is a very loveable person just like Matt is I think they are each other's ride or die!! God Bless that whole crew that was an amazing rescue
@@johnnyrockker829 my whole family is rooting for good luck getting parts for fabrats to finish it.
While the boys are rescuing an airplane (!), our beloved Lizzie hiked 3,000 miles to civilization, saved a lost child from a bear, caught a world record brown trout with her bare hands… all under the watchful management of Grand Master Ed, who reminded Lizzie that he walked to the Sierra Nevada Mountains both ways uphill in the snow back in 1883…. Love you guys!
When Matt said Lizzy had to go for an appointment an hike out of there I though "Yea Really" but really saw her go on her own by herself , what a girl she's the Bomb" take that you purist that in another of Matts video video someone made comment that she needed to leave the show, she's a precious commodity she makes me laugh.
@@coconut199 whoever said that about Lizzie must be a snowflake who feels his masculinity (if he even has any) is threatened by such a tough girl. Lizzie is amazing and tough. I wish I knew how to weld like her. She always exhibits a terrific attitude and will tackle anything.

Lizzie just walking through the middle of legitimate nowhere was cool- that drone footage was amazing. And a special thanks to escorting her to the road- that’s awesome.
That drone didn't escort her to the road. It can't stay in the air that long.
@@stargazer7644 15 minutes to the road and a couple back? I feel like most drones should be able to do that.
@@outandabout259 It's good that you feel that way. She was a mile horizontally and 900 feet vertically from the nearest road hiking a ridgeline. She wasn't in any hurry. Many years ago, I took a stock Mazda Miata on the trails and waste piles around Centralia, PA. Took some creativity to prevent getting high centered, but was a complete success. There were sections that were so steep, just setting the park brake, so I could get out for a photo, wasn't gonna work. It drives me crazy that I can't find those photos anymore.
WOW. This was an amazing video in many ways. Hats off to Lizzy for walking off the mountain. She is a gorgeous young lady with so many talents and a great asset to Matt's team when doing work in the shop, an excellent welder and mechanic and has exceptional driving skills.I hope she starts a channel of her own when she leaves Matt. I would like to watch her when she gets on the ranch. I an sure she will excel in her ranching skills.
You know you’re a true master of your trade when Ed can casually give a weather report and say “we’ll get em out” in regards to an airplane that’s upside down with no roads leading to it.
Wow. That was exhilarating. I'm glad no one was hurt. And when you said Lizzy had an appointment, I was expecting you to say she would be taking one of the vehicles back. But no, she just casually walks off the mountain back to civilization.
10:03 matt finds a plane:
„I think it’s ready to derby“ xD
I’m really glad that the pilot is ok!
Being an aircraft mechanic for 41 years. And you guys aren’t. You did a very good job!! Thank you for making that I sure enjoyed it!!
Not a lot of exposure to airplanes. Is that plane repairable or totally toasted?
@@user-px3bv1jq9z it looked like it was rebuildable . according to the N number records, it’s been decommissioned, so they probably parted it out.
Lizzie is an extremely brave girl.
Our friend was visiting from Ely and mentioned watching your channel. I told them your shop was just down the road and they can buy your merch there. When we got to the shop they told us you were out recovering a plane. Very cool to see the recovery.
That was some amazing scouting by Johnny. He found the way in. He found the plane. He found several lunch options. I am grateful that the pilot nor anyone else was hurt.
Lizzy walking down the mountain she’s the real deal
As a private pilot, even though I don't fly anymore, I did all of my initial training in a Cessna 150/152. I still remember that at 8000 feet a 150 is pretty close to it's maximum performance capability depending on winds, density altitude and gross weight.. Flying that Cessna in a mountainous area is always a little bit risky. I'm not here to criticize the pilot since I don't know all of the circumstances. I'm glad he was OK. Great recovery by all!
Com'l pilot here with mountain training - you're right, the 150 has almost NO excess climb ability at 9300 feet...and you NEVER put yourself in a situation where a downdraft can ruin your day...you always cross ridges at 45 degrees and or leave room to turn around if you can outclimb rising terrain. This guy is lucky to have survived this classic accident. Even better you stay on the ground when the winds are blowing hard.
His brother has similarly poor judgement, evidently, the way he flipped the RZR and stuck his arm out.
@@danielhawley6817 The plane had not been out there very long and it does not appear to have been legal any time in the last 15 years. My first thought was the plane was put down due to weather or not enough power to fly through the heat of the desert at that altitude. How did the pilot land it without ripping the plane apart?
I saw a guy crush his arm under a roll bar once doing the “I can save it” maneuver.
Good on the camera man reminding him to pull the arm in.
Seriously, Lizzy is something else. I hope my daughters grow up to be like that.
You have a 1967 Cessna 150 with a Lycoming O-235-L2C , 110 hp engine. And you are right about how light they are, usually around 985lbs to 1100lbs.
It's possible this plane can be restored, but more likely, it will be parted out.
Since there was a prop strike, the engine will need to be rebuilt, and a rebuilt 0-235 is worth about $25,000 (unless it broke the crankshaft).
landing gear, instruments, etc all are valuable.
Sad to see the little bird get busted up, but extremely happy that the pilot walked away from it.
Rudy was the man on this one. He was just where he needed to be every time.
That comes with experience. He'll only get better.
Like just about every day he's out there, it seems.
Whoever called ‘hand in’ in the heat of the moment is a real trail hero.
Rudy was a very valuable component to this recovery! I watched him closely and he was always right on the spot doing what was needed. Proud of you Rudy!!
I’ve been hooked on this channel binge watching for about a week. These are good people. I’ve only heard one cuss word in probably 50 videos and Matt’s patience is unmatched! I’m for sure team Lizzy. Great content
That arm-out reaction was terrifying. Could have been a life flight situation in the blink of an eye. Epic recovery. Good job everyone.
Man he got lucky that rock was there!!
could you have guessed he's weight had a lot to do with the rollover?
@@coconut199 yeaaaa i didint want to bring it up haha
Holly crap. That rock saved that situation. That brings it home, we are seeing a camera angle and I bet it’s 10x wors the drops
Let's all step back and take a minute to appreciate what a fantastic off road driver Matt is. Moving that plane down the mountain on a trailer!? Well done on this from everyone. Really enjoyed watching.0
I was thinking the same thing. That was pro action, for sure.
And keeping the wild desert clean too
I freaked out when he put his arm out when rolling over! Did he really think he was going to stop that haha glad everything was okay!
Instinct and common sense rarely go hand in hand with fear as an undertone! Just glad to see everyone able to shout out keeping injuries from occurring.
Yea, his weight distribution needs re thinking also !
That rock and staggeringly lucky direction of fall looked to be the only things between a video people can laugh about, and that poor guy not surviving to tell the tale 👀 Makes you remember just how dangerous Matt's crew's job is.
If you’d ever been in a real roll over you’d know it’s hard not to.
Yeah I've done the same thing a couple of times but fortunately I immediately realize that is bad I jank my arm back in .lol
I was legitimately scared when that utv started going over. That rock that stopped a 1,000 foot roll must have been place there for this sole reason. Glad everyone is okay.
So if someone does roll off a mountain because there isn't a rock to stop them...does that mean...god wanted them dead? (since you seem to be implying god put this particular rock there to save this guy)
@@isaackvasager9957 No. I don't believe in God, but good job trying to pick a fight.
What I do believe in is that we are all on this crazy ride together. So whether some call it luck, fate, coincidence, or even a miracle... what does it matter? Smile and know the universe, however it happened, protected a man's life and saved a lot of grief and heartache that could have been caused by a rock not being in the right place at the right time.
Chill out and appreciate that an enormous amount coincidences had to happen starting millions of years ago to protect that man and his family & friends that day.
Call it whatever you want, but I can appreciate that. Can you?
@@jasoncrimmel well said my friend. right place right time for the rock is kind of an understatement but it was certainly there for a reason. guy must have some other things to still do in this life because that was almost certain death. if you wanna call it god then yes, if it’s pure chance then that’s alright too but i thing there’s gotta be a little bit of divine intervention in situations like that
Lizzy makes this show soo much better then it already is lol
Offroad recovery doesn't get any more epic than this.
Lizzie rocks! "She's gonna walk off this mountain." And off she goes!
Great recovery y'all! Glad no one was injured. Take care.
I love how they filmed it.
Even in cool weather, casually strolling down that mountain is a pretty impressive feat. She's tougher than she looks.
I really thought he was joking!!
Walking off the mountain alone was pretty baller. Someone needs to animate a gif with the sunglasses and cigar sliding on screen. I’d have made it about 50 yards before I’d have tripped or misjudged a drop, and come limping back 20 minutes later in need of first aid care. Either that, or no one would ever hear from me again. They say on a still night, if you listen very close, you can still hear an asthmatic voice huffing and puffing “Hello? Anybody? I think I’m lost!”
@@bigjeep2195
I suppose the UTV flip was a scam too?
Lizzy is tough chic. I give props to any woman who can weld better then most men and jump in vehicles stuck and help drive them out.
I can't believe he rolls on the only rock that saved him from rolling down the hill that was a god-sent hallelujah and amen!
Ahh yes, classic….this supposed omniscient god put the rock 𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 there to stop the guys from sliding down the canyon, instead of just stopping them from flipping over in the first place.

It rare to have such a great guy as a friend that will drop everything without a thought or expectation of repayment, I have a couple like this that I've known nearly my entire sixty years of life. Nice to see there are still good people out there.
I watched this video when it was released, and just watched it again. I'm still impressed by everyone's problem-solving skills and teamwork. And still awed by Lizzie casually walking off he mountain like she was just going to the local convenience store for a Slurpee. If I had a daughter I'd want her to be like Lizzie. 👍
I too watched the video before and just watched it again.
I am also impressed with Lizzie. I always said, if Lizzie goes, I go. Then it happened and I stayed, BUT I do miss her. She was a hard worker, a very pleasant person, and had a excellent sense of humor. The channel is still good but it's not the same.
Hope everyone had a great thanksgiving .

New to this channel and blown away!! As if the great outdoors, remote & treacherous roads and outstanding vista views weren't enough, the recovery crew is made up of personable and knowledgeable folks!! The on-the-go (or on-the-fly in this case) engineering is fun to watch and the whole process very entertaining. I'm a fan!
I'm amazed the pilot walked away from that! WOW! Glad Lizzy made it too!
My heart dropped 30ft the moment I saw the arm out of the rolling RZR, so glad nobody got hurt. Wish you all best of luck for the future.
Same here - gotta fight that natural reaction. Need wrist tethers.
Over the course of my Navy career I actually have done several (too many) aircraft and helicopter recoveries after mishaps in the mountains outside of Fallon (and on the base), in the Lake Tahoe area, the Southern California desert, Morocco, the Air Force Base on Guam and an air base in Kuwait. I benefited from using helicopters to lift the wreckage/engines/landing gear off the mountain, being able to tow the aircraft with it partially on a dolly, or being near a road for a crane to drive in so I could lift onto a dolly or truck. Well done! Thank you for sharing this.
thanks for your service. Fallon area and Tahoe Basin are absolutely beautiful.
Anybody else would just say "Your gonna need to get a helicopter to get that out". Matt "I'll just tow a trailer up there and trailer it out". A trailer?? On that trail??? I am very comfortable off-road but would never even consider hauling a trailer up there much less coming back down with an airplane on it! Matt makes it look like every other job. Just another day at the office. Nicely done!! Totally professional. Rolling the Razor just shows how steep and dangerous that country really is.
