I just noticed a whole new plot hole from the original trilogy if American troops were nuked why did America not invoke article 5 because it is well know that it is set in 2011 so NATO would be a thing or why didn't they respond with nuclear retaliation whoever was America's president at the time did not know what he was doing

Am I the only one who's upset about some plotholes in this game? I remember back in CoD 4, Gas died when Soap bearly was a private, how is it possible Gas is still alive in Modern Warfare 2 2022 with Soap being a Sargeant.
Its an entirely different universe. The original trilogy was where Gaz died. They completely restarted fresh with the new universe in MW2019.
