Canonically, Soap dies because the fall from the watchtower opened his stab wound from General Shepherd.
Shepherd stabs Soap and he later bled to death from that wound.
You could _techinically_ say the General Shepherd killed Soap.

also wasnt TF141 built to kill Hadir and Khaled Al-Asad? connecting them to russian ultranationalist and his conntact "Mr Z" aka Imran Zakhaev as his main weapon supplier, while i personally think TF141 got shutdown before the orginal MW story started

You forgot that Russian operatives were also part of Taskforce 141, first Nikolai and then joined by Yuri. Also I personally don't know why it is called 141, I presume it's a play on words one for one, an eye for an eye.

1_ The singleplayer campaign stories.
2_ The MW series campaigns.

@@Alurpal80 BO4 is the only COD to never have a campaign and the reason for this is because they didn't have enough time to make one after they cancelled the original campaign for BO4 in early 2018.

baseball god Yeah but ghost going to the gulag ultimately leads up to him getting killed because now he’s assigned with price and right after the gulag is when price sends off the emp and then that leads to ghost being at loose ends. So if ghost was never assigned to the gulag, he possibly would’ve lived.

At the start of MW2, you play as Joseph Allen who is a member of the United States Army Rangers alongside Sergeant Foley and Corporal Dunn and since he did so well in combat, General Shepherd has him transferred to Task Force 141 and does that CIA operation alongside Makarov's team during No Russian, he gets killed, war starts, etc.

Fun fact: one of the guys in Mile High Club is voiced by the same guy who voiced the original ghost
The same person also voices Gaz in MW1 and Sgt Wallcroft in MW3
Recently I replayed the cod 4 campaign and I thought soap was one of the operatives in mile high club

When you think about it, General Sheppard’s plan seemed super fishy when he didn’t tell Private Allen to just shoot Makarov as soon as they began the attack. Because by then he’s literally got a death sentence for murdering civilians.

I've never played the COD trilogy before, just watching this video itself makes me feel so bad that I missed out on all this, there are so many heartbreaking moments and so much excitement
you should play it, it is seriously the best cod series ever, mw1 and mw2 got remastered and look beautiful, mw3 is getting old but if you put texture settings on native with all other settings on max it looks acceptable

I noticed one flaw in your theory. At the end of the newest Modern Warfare, Price is naming the people for the task force and he lists Gaz as one of them who was in the original Cod4. Meaning the 141 had to be a thing before the events of MW2

It should this one is before the others because soap is in beginning of mw1 and then Shepard kills 2 in mw2 that are in his task force here so there is that then think about where zakaevs son takes over after barkov they captured him once in mw1 for questioning I love this games line as it is twisting and i wait for each season just to see new cutscenes hopefully they make the next game between mw1 and mw2 timeline
@@franklinjordan1498 No, MW 2019 is a different timeline. They're both based on the same characters for the most part, but the new one actually takes place in 2019. The latest date in the original trilogy was 2016 iirc
franklin jordan Mw 2019 is a new timeline and universe,This means that mw1-2 isn’t cannon to this. Everyone that died from m1-3 didn’t die at all in this story and the campaign will continue in the new modern warfare which will hopefully be soon
