Soap has a journal which contains everything that happened before the events of Modern Warfare to before the events of Blood Brothers.
After his death, Price took Soap’s journal and dog tags.
Soap’s Journal would be returned back to the SAS base. People would read to see what’s his life as a soldier was like.
I cried when soap died. The modern warfare series was a big impact in my life and to see soap die was horrible.

I was young when I played the games so I didn’t realize capt. Mctavish was soap until the gulag Mission when Price says “Soap?” And it was the best reveal of my life. I’m not sure if other people had the same experience but it was amazing

If you pay attention to the text when the mission starts you'd know that Soaps last name is McTavish. So when the winter mission starts you learn Soap is your Captain.

I always wished Griggs didn't go down... but I guess it wouldn't really fit with him in MW2 since TF 141 was decimated into a disavowed group of 2 men and a Russian turncoat. still, Griggs was awesome. his death is probably the most heroic out of all the MW games in retrospect. He followed "Semper Fi" to the letter at the end and was shot for his troubles while he could've stayed behind cover and held off til the Russians showed up but he didn't, he went right for his nearly unconscious comrade and did some Medal of Honor citation type shit to hold off the UNA til the loyalists arrived. Truest hero out of the series if you ask me and the most relatable IMO.

I think the storyline of Yuri would be quite interesting. He was present at most of the important missions of the modern warfare series but in the background. And especially why and how he switched the sides would be very interesting
The reason he turned on Makarov, was because he didn't feel like killing thousands of civilians at the airport. There's nothin much about his storyline, I mean he explains it himself on Blood Brothers...

Soap Mactavish will always be my favorite character in all the Call of Duty sagas, he personifies friendship, courage, camaraderie between soldiers and never give up, I hope to see him in the next CoD MW 4.

Brady B I think it’s the other way around. Starting with ww2, grenade explosions rip off arms and legs and heads. Certain cutscenes in ww2 are really gruesome

Plus to me the Pacific theater and the Russian perspective are 10 times more hardcore in my eyes. I think the music during soaps death also adds to the sadness of the whole thing
It does mate, the fookin' music in the background dries the bloody tears out of me all the time, shouldn't have turn the volume all the way up when I play the game cause it made me want to cry when I heard that song everywhere. As a kid I didn't know that much about the characters in the Campaign, just to shoot and kill people. But now knowing who's Soap, I'm even more sad about his death. Thank you ikslasher for this video, and the many other videos of every character for black ops and modern warfare.

Soap is by far my favorite character in the entire cod franchise
My emotional investment in this trilogy is very high especially after playing all three on Veteran difficulty
I had the idea that the Soap callsign comes from the movie Fight Club. One of the main characters is called Tyler Durden and when you first see him he says that he's in the business of Soap and goes on to say the line "one can make all kinds of explosives using simple household items" and then later in the movie he says "...with enough soap, one could blow up just about anything." During the original trilogy, they don't really mention much about his craftiness but he's still a demolitions expert. In the new series the developers have made it a FEATURE that Soap starts crafting tools from things that he picks up, INCLUDING explosives. Unless they come out with a different reason in canon, I'm pretty confident in this idea.

I would definitely say that the saddest scene of call of duty history, was Ghost's and Roach's death. Sure Soap's death was also really sad, but the violins in the background weren't as dramatic as the violins in Ghost's and Roach's death background.

I love the development of Captain Price and soap. He disrespects soap at first but over time grows to respect him and even develops a apprentice/ teacher relationship with him. He was really hurt when soap died.
He really was a awesome character and one of my favorite cod protagonist hands down.

Price wasn’t shipped off to a Russian prison. Soap thought price had died but later learned he was alive. Price was captured in “operation kingfish” that’s why he was in the gulag and that’s why Shepard approved of the task force 141

i think the new modern warfare takes place in a alternate universe. it’s just to reboot the franchise,not a permanent new story line. so in the next game i think the story will continue off from where Price gave Makerov the most disrespectful death in history
Its a soft reboot! Meaning same characters (Ghost, Soap etc.) just with a different storyline! Will have nothing to do with the last three at all - maybe a cameo here or there but thats all!
