    Super result - I have been doing the same routine on my 3 lawns - resutls are unbelievable - my son's mate thought it was arrificial grass.
    My Black n Decker scarifier has a basket to catch all thatch & moss.
    Also have brrn growing grass seed separately in plastic trays and anytime you dig out weeds can be transplanted onto lawn so no waiting for seed to grow!!
    Brill vid - most of other lawncare don't show results - thank you buddy 👍☘️

    Nice video, but l wished you showed us the products you used. My biggest problem about doing this is which grass seed do l need. I saw someone else’s video’s and they said to use for a domestic lawn a dwarf Rye grass. Do you agree and what did you use?

    • @LawnRight
      @LawnRight  7 місяців тому +1

      Hi. Dwarf rye is good for colour but needs reseeding if it thins out as it doesn't spread.. But I like it.. And it doesn't produce much thatch

  • @solomonpapadopoulos6602
    @solomonpapadopoulos6602 2 роки тому

    Wow what a result! Great work, and I really enjoy your videos. I have recently moved to a new house and the lawn is full of moss and weeds (of all kind) - just a mess!
    I wonder if you are able to advise on the sequence of the following tasks:
    1. Apply lawn weed killer across the whole lawn (using Weedol)
    2. Scarify (using a Bosch Verticutter)
    3. Feed (using Aftercut All in One Autumn, applied with a drop spreader)
    4. Overseed
    Do you think this sequence is ok or should it be different?
    Many thanks and keep up the great work.
    Best,
    Sol

    • @LawnRight
      @LawnRight  2 роки тому +1

      Hi Sol, so after the weedkiller give it a week before scarifying to let the weedkiller work.. then if you are seeding I'd NOT put that autumn feed on as i think it contains iron.. if it contains iron , itll say something about controlling moss.. the iron will have a detrimental effect on new seeds 😊🙏

    • @solomonpapadopoulos6602
      @solomonpapadopoulos6602 2 роки тому

      Thank you very much, really appreciate your advice. Yes that feed has moss killer, I hadn’t thought about this. I probably don’t have much time to do all the things I need to, so might focus an the weeds and moss (scarify and moss killer) for now, and overseed on the spring. Might fit aeration after scarifying (saw your video on aerators, trying to decide on one). Many thanks again!

    • @LawnRight
      @LawnRight  2 роки тому

      Hi Ben thanks for being around from the beginning! Any weedkiller designed for lawns should tackle cloverm clover is typically an easier one to kill. I'm currently using weedol on my own lawn but there are others available. I uploaded a video last week showing how to make up a sprayer however I've also recorded one showing how to spray weedol.. but.. had a corruption happen during the export, and waiting on tech support to get back to me

One had it scarified and the franchise (a well known one) didn't explain how it would look. The next week all 8 cancelled

    I bought myself a Wolfgarten hand rake. Could you show us in real time the technique for using it. I think I need some practice. Thanks Shaun. Thumbs up from me.

      Hi Lynne, just let it sit on the surface and drag it back and forth lightly. It should start taking some out. If you still have issues pop a new comment on any of my videos (else I may miss replies) and I'll see what I can do 😊

    The results here are class. What sort of price should a gardener be charging us for a job like this?

      A days labour really plus material costs. This was done in around 6 hours I think and it rained lol

    Great result - lots of work!!! Dude, you need a helper! Is scarified the same as dethatching?

    Hi Shaun, another great video mate. I’ve lived here for 9 years and I had a lawn care company come in 3 times a year to basically weed and feed and the lawns looked ok. But I retired last year and decided to have a go myself. Bought a Screwfix scarifier and set to work. It’s difficult to believe how much thatch came out , I was gobsmacked. It’s a mainly fescue lawn too . Is there a particular fertiliser you use ?
    Keep the videos coming mate 👍

      Hi! Good to hear you having a go. I've just started dusting a1 lawn spring summer fertiliser on my own lawn. I'll have video out on it soon. If you want a link you can access it via a pdf on my website lawnright.co.uk/diy/freebies/shopping-list/

    Professional job!! Well done, it looks great. The lawn type looks spot on too, what brand or type of grass is this that you used?

    Another cracking video. So informative. I've got my front lawn looking pretty good, but I've got a few clumps of what I assume is crabgrass that have appeared. Can you suggest what I should do? Apply a chemical or just dig them out and replace with a handful of seed and soil?

    • @LawnRight
      @LawnRight  2 роки тому

      Hi.. replace is the answer, for now.. you can brush the blade sup and slice with a knife across the surface to gradually weaken them but its a long process

    • @johnjag1000
      @johnjag1000 2 роки тому

      @@LawnRight why not just remove the clumps from the roots?

      @LawnRight  2 роки тому

      leigh hi sorry I think it's the way I typed my last reply.. you can replace them.. ie dig out and replace with soil and seed.. or you can do the slow winded way of weakening it over time.. sorry
