A call isn't going to do anything, attend board meeting for your communities, making a presence is how things get done.
So I live in Australia and we have councils who maintain roads, collect garbage. We pay rates for garbage, levies for other things that the council decides in. I live on small acreage and the council expects us to maintain the grass verges but are supposed to come and mow 6 times a year. I go for walks and the grass was taller than me and it was not safe to walk on the road. So I went to the council, then sent an email to my division councillor. No reply so I emailed the local news station and they came out and interviewed me. The day after it was on the tv they came out and mowed. Al this is why I watch your videos. Your amazing to think about the children walking to school, and not being able to walk on the sidewalk because of the over grown grass and weeks. That city officials should be embarrassed. Bless your heart for doing what the city wouldn't.
IKR? Plus, toooo scary looking for kids to pass by that property. Every kid has that one place they don't like to walk by! 😉
Go to a city council meeting videos about your community service job and watch every person attending give you a standing ovation. Maybe the city will hire you for some of the other work they're afraid of doing. What a crock. They probably just hired lazy workers. Kudos for all the good work you do for others, Al and Trey. You're the Good Guys.
Nothing prevented the parents of those kids forced to walk in the street from cutting the grass themselves to keep the sidewalk clear. Yes, the City should have none it, but they didn't. Thankfully Al came to the rescue, but who will keep it accessible from here on out?
yea I walk through the valley of grass I will fear no evil when al bladez makes it safe for all
You are a blessing, thank you for showing kindness and love everywhere you go.
The rest of the houses on the street look so nice. I’m sure they hated this one being such a mess. But Al Bladez fixed that problem! Go Al!
No he didn’t. He just fixed the sidewalk and by the street…
@@robineast6446
"No he didn’t. He just fixed the sidewalk and by the street…"
And the main problem was the children not being able to use the sidewalk to go catch the school bus and needing to walk along the side of the street, and just a general nuisance for everyone else who lived there and needed to use the sidewalk.
So, yes, he did fix the problem. Now the children can safely use the sidewalk and it will be a lot easier for everybody else as well.
They didn't hate it looking like a mess, if so, they would have gotten together and cleaned it up!
@@oldtimefarmboy617 Al cannot come and take care of it all the time. He solved the problem for some time. Soon it will grow back, and they will have the same problem.

"@oldtimefarmboy617 Al cannot come and take care of it all the time. He solved the problem for some time. Soon it will grow back, and they will have the same problem."
Sometimes problems get out of hand before people realize that it is a problem and it becomes more than they can handle. Now that they know the problem the overgrowth can cause, since they obviously take care of their own lawns, they can do a little extra and one or more of them can make certain that area along the sidewalk does not get that way again.
The solution to most problems requires knowing what the problem is in the first place. Now they know and they can easily prevent the problem from occurring again.
I dont know why, but it is so relaxing to watch you clean up the yards, and listening to it also calms my nerves! Thank you for posting these!!
Watching someone create order out of chaos is very soothing.
@@jankirschke7425And satisfying!
The city should award you a medal of honor!

Thank you Al Bladz for the sincere and honest work you do. Beyond the lawn care…thank you for exposing the dysfunctional city council. Be Ashamed city council you earned it! 🇺🇸🦅❤️
And excepting the SALARIES in Lue for jobs not done they should choke on their food.
A huge increase in the safety of the kids using the side walk instead of the road, and everyone else. Plus a big improvement to the general appearance of the neighbourhood. It will not go unnoticed by the community.
Absolutely agree!
Best response 👌
Hope the neighbors keep it up.
AND WHILE COULD’NT THE MEN IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD MOW THE OVERGROWN LOT. THEIR CHILDREN PROBABLY HAD TO TRAVEL THROUGH THAT AREA THAT AL MOWED.‼️
I have a feeling the kids are more in danger from the people in that community than they were walking down the road.
Thank you.
For everything you do just remember you are special. You are important and you are so needed.Thank you
Always good to see when the neighbors are thankful for what you do.
The world need more good people like you. keep up the good work.
45 minutes made a lot of hearts happy and the whole street looking fresh the city should be ashamed they couldn't take 45mins to go out there themselves. Thankfully they city got your amazing heart helping
Why not call the City and demand cleanup?
@gordbaker896 di you not watch the video...literally says in the video they called the city and had a whole fight on fb about who's job it is to clean it....this guy fixed the cities issues in 45mins so thank him and don't ask questions if you don't even watch the video like they clearly called the city bro
Typical government mentality response in this case: "It's not my job."
Typical neighborhood mentality also! If I lived next to or across the street from this I would’ve cleaned it up! I take pride in my community and myself!
@@jimw1615if lazy people like you cleaned up your neighborhoods, you wouldn't cry so much.
What a wonderful makeover! Like you said... NIGHT AND DAY! Now the kids can walk safely on the sidewalk as can the rest of the community! Beautiful job! You have a heart of gold!
I wonder if they will, even that lady at the end said she still wasn't going to walk over there. lol
Good job Al and Trey for standing guard for him, and for helping the neighbors live a little safer in their neighborhood. The homes around this area are very nice and clean homes, I think the city should recheck their decisions, same on who makes that decision 😒
It's awesome that you gave them back their sidewalk! What a great transformation. Way to go Trey for finding a great project for the channel
😊
So happy for the kids' safety. Very satisfying to watch. Thank you, Al, for your sacrifice.
There you go again Al...doin' GOOD and CONNECTING with people to form' Community' from the brokenness that is our there = Victorry! Keep on keepin' on! Thanks 4 sharing...health and blessings! xo :)

Glad to see you getting back out there we missed you ❤
Fantastic job!! The city should pay you, and be ashamed for not going to help this neighborhood. If it’s so bad then shame on their police department. They also are not doing their job. The kids need to be safe!! You’re a blessing Al. 😇
Sadly, I (due to paranoia) wonder if the city hopes if an area is left alone long enough that someone like Al will do it for free. 😢
Who knows maybe if they impose fines and if property taxes go unpaid as well they can legally place a lien foreclosure on property & sale it 🤷🏼♀️ City/County profits.
@@scarter8137 that's what they want.
Yes then they call cops racist for doing their job. They can’t win either way. People forget about blm. Wasn’t long ago.
For such a bad neighborhood, not one police car went past. Not one person bothered you.

I am so glad to see you again online, you have been missed❤️
You are truly a blessing to people in need, even if there is possible danger. Hopefully the neighborhood will improve because of your cleanup.

The transformation and the work it takes is always fun to see. Trimming back the trees and then recutting to mulch the grass is such an added bonus to make what you have done look even better and last longer. Thanks for the entertainment!
Thank you so much for helping clean that walkway to keep the kids safe. Your the best ❤ And thank the lady who feed them, Tre for helping out again❤

The city won't come into the "black neighborhoods" to cut the grasses, but they have no problem collecting the "black neighborhood's taxes!!!!🤔🤔 Blessings to you, Al!😊❤
That neighborhood looks pretty normal. That first house we saw looked nice.
It’s always interesting to see the trees, shrubs and maybe even noxious weeds…so very different from the Pacific NW.
That pick up by the trash truck didn't seem to be on a route. I think the guys stopped because they saw somebody actually doing something to help and were good with it.

You are one of the nicest men I’ve ever watched on UA-cam. Thanks for helping this neighborhood and the children who walk anywhere on this sidewalk. I hope you’re doing better and we love you and the family and your videos ❤️❤️
Yes, he is extremely nice - too nice! If you truly care about others, you allow them to do for themselves and their loved ones instead of letting things get bad, and then just letting someone else do the hardworking.
Shame on that city! They are to represent everyone!
If the kids can walk to their bus stop an adult can cut the grass in that neighborhood. Thanks for breaking barriers! You show hope for humanity.
Oh brother. And now we all know that you voted for Biden. Why do you on the left never feel it's the responsibility of the homeowners to take care of their yards?
why didnt the neighbors mow it before it got so out of control
@@ronkistner2672 Because thats what city taxes pays the city to do to vacant homes. It's literally their job. You dont see citizens fixing potholes in the street do you. We dont pay taxes for fun.
Not necessarily. Outsiders can be treated very differently than neighborhood residents.
@@2kt2000 you and your attitude are what's wrong with this country. Besides, fixing potholes takes special equipment; bags of cold patch from Lowe's don't cut it. Apples and oranges.
It was so satisfying to see the sidewalk cleared and available for the safety of the neighborhood. When the lady said “in the black areas the city does not come through” it made me sad and mad at the same time !! I am just imagining the surprise on the school kids' faces when they can walk on the sidewalk & not in the street! Great job!
They'll probably walk down that part and not realize it's the overgrown spot till they get by it.
But the adults won’t go there....

Damn man, EVERYONE respects the work. Who needs the damn city anyway, we need to start following this guy's example and doing what we can ourselves.
They generally collect their share in taxes, great with the fines, just more ways to extort money from people.
There's a guy who got arrested for mowing a playground and the city tried to prosecute him
What a difference you've made Al! Hope you and Trey enjoyed your chicken. Thank you for helping this community, both of you. Much love ❤🇬🇧

What a beautiful transformation! I can just imagine the smiles on the faces of the children when they realized they didn't have to walk on the busy road anymore. It looks like that house beside the sidewalk could use some good lawn care also.
This one was amazing and all of the neighbors seemed so grateful! ❤
Great Job done, Al.
Thanks Lacey for feeding the guys!
In all fairness to all the people blaming the neighbors for not doing this, it's doubtful they have the powerful equipment he has to do the job. Love watching your videos and your caring heart!
If the neighbors had started in on this yard BEFORE it got so bad, mowing it would've been an easy fix. I know--I've done it myself!
And they could take turns OR each take a small area bi-weekly. Got your mower out do a few extra passes.
Thank you, Lacey, for buying them lunch. What goes around comes around :-)
Mr. Bladezzzzzz it’s so great to see you doing what you do so well. Thank you for your commitment to your viewers. We love you and your family.
Absolutely disgusting that the city doesn't cut that grass , no excuses. Thank you for doing a great service to the community Al and Trey
What's even more disgusting is the mindset of that woman blaming them for not coming out because it's a black community. Cities let a-lot of properties go in all parts of the city, unfortunately.
Haven't walked there for 18 months as I had an accident and face planted on the road so have to drive in and walk with a friend. The grass out here is so long again and nothing gets done

Waste your time going one of them meetings they look out for themselves and nobody else.
I don't know when people going to get they don't care.
@@judyboast4020 here in the US if there's a lawn on city property in front of your house you mowe it, the city doesn't go around cutting all the lawns between the sidewalks and your house. If the "community" was so disgusted by it why didn't they come up with a solution so the kids could walk freely on the sidewalk, they obviously are just a community of complainers amongst themselves. That's why we have people like AL, no complaining just do it.
City won't spend money they save it for there self

What's sad, is that the city won't come out to that area, but the neighborhood looks nice and decent and the only people you met were super nice and friendly. It's the worst case scenario of where a few bad apples spoil the barrel.
Also no trash like some areas.
Very often, it's just an excuse. I was once told some services weren't provided in my neighborhood anymore because it was a so-called bad neighborhood.
