My old chevy 4x4 service truck needs more ground clearance to help pull old classic and antique cars and trucks from their grave. I turned to Rough Country who sent over an awesome 6" IFS suspension lift for this 1989 Chevrolet K2500 truck. I'll show you how to install these lifts, and eventually, we'll give it a good test. And at the same time, If I know to kinda expect it from the kit, I'm less disappointed when it happens if I were to buy it myself.
If a guy just gives his floor jack a name, then a guy could say "me and Darryl put the front diff in yesterday" and then a guy wouldn't have done it alone.

Until now... I have never seen someone else doing the old Thigh Master routine with the jack... I'm not alone in this world!!!

I did it on my sloped driveway to reinstall a full f250 diesel tank 😂😂😂😂 sketchy as all hell.
I don't know how many times I was forced to use my feet/legs to operate my jack because both hands were busy holding something heavy and or trying to align a bolt

I am glad he did the right thing and not only installed the front diff by himself but also didn't change the fluid in it.
Seeing the cleanup and paint on the frame blew me away. It’s actually nice. +1
A guy can take 4 hours out of a day with a good wire wheel and 5 cans of clean up paint and have a new frame. The old Chevy will love you for it, and you'll get 5-10 mpg better gas mileage, and a 10-20 horse power increase. i.postimg.cc/G3jqys3q/Post.jpg

A guy has used the leg technique many times. I always thought I was weird talking to myself while working on my car but I'm glad to know I'm normal. I also hope you dont mind that I now use I'll be dipped when working on my car now.

I can really appreciate the mixture of John Wayneisms and pig latin, I grew up building Model A's and T's with my dad and grandpa so understand perfectly the adjectives used in your projects. Webster's doesn't have the right words to describe such things!

Geez, I’ve never been happier that my truck is an old fashioned straight axle. The lift kit consisted of basically 4 pieces - 2 springs and 2 shocks.

I do love old chevy trucks, I have an 86 k10. But I sure am glad my daily driver truck is a 2000 dodge ram, they had solid front axles up until 2001. I lifted that truck in an afternoon with about 4 parts.

for really stuck parts we have a hand sandblast that may make a mess but with black beauty media it does help tremendously getting stuck parts unstuck.
I can't think I have ever seen a service truck lifted so this should be interesting to see in the end. The front end kit looks pretty simple to do. Felt ya on that diff balancing act and leg jacking up thing, been there many times.

most serious work I have seen on this channel. Makin' it look easy. Tough stuff is done. I have seen this elsewhere done by a pro.. and the forgotten rear brake bracket nearly cost a life.
As a long time belly expander here with auto shows on UA-cam, after just a few episodes here I'm kicking myself I didn't find this channel sooner. Undoubtedly one of the best wrenching to watch out there without all the hollywood, Time to grab a fridge full of cold snacks and get to binge watching before a guy does something productive.
