I've been a subscriber for a few years now and I can HONESTLY say that VGG is better than anything on TV. Derek, please don't change anything, you've nailed it! ❤👍
Wow, thanks!
@@ViceGripGarage Maybe change the under britches every once in a while, but that's about it.
I can’t wait for when the boys can work in the “family business”
@@ViceGripGarage for sure brother! Love the content a lot!
Damn it's a good looking truck great job sir
Man ,got lucky with 2 this week . Way to start the new year off right !! Appreciate all the hard work .
Thank you!
@@ViceGripGarage you rock
Some of us never get lucky… not like that.😜
"Look, all a guy can do is all a guy can do."
Felt that one in my soul.
Man the fella that paints the lettering, and artwork designs, is incredibly talented. To paint all that by hand without even a stencil, or anything but a brush, is crazy skill. Very creative too. Amazing work!
Gooch customs is also another insanely talented painter and pinstriper. Guy always blows me away with his work
Crazy good, isn't he?
I've been with him since his cell phone taped on his garage door. The man has got serious skills, and he's just like us, real people 😉.
100%. Artists work in many mediums. That guy was astonishing to watch.
By far the best youtube channel and automotive channel on the youtube. Blows me away he's at 1.79 million. Should be 5-8-10 million by now. Seen every video he's ever made multiple times. He's also got Vice grip lodge and little grip garage also.. we need more. Especially on the Lodge channel Sir !!!
Thanks for the kind words! Happy to be doing what we do!
Don't forget his motortrend show
And in the aisles on O Reillys channel
I don’t understand how you arnt the most popular car channel on the platform. Consistent uploads. Always doing stuff for the fans. And of course, the best content and personality. I will always support Vice Grip Garage!
Very much appreciated!!
VGG isn't the most popular car channel on UA-cam?
That must be an error
Derek is the best, I love his channel, I'm so glad I found it.
VVG is the best when i found this channel for the first time and i love classic cars alot
@@ViceGripGarageDerek along with his lovely wife Jessica along with their three sons accomplish these many entertaining, enjoyable, delightful videos along with their participation in many automotive events.
Am certainly looking forward to seeing Derek and Jessica participating within Wick Week 2024 with this Motion Raceworks ZZ632 "Work Truck"' Doug, Andy and the MR Team have certainly selected, chosen a wonderful team, VGG to represent them during the SW event along with the others from MR.
Have been thinking about which of the VGG vehicles would be involved, used, participating in SW 2024. Derek had shown the "MonteBaro" recently in a video which was clearly under "re-construction", "re-development" especially the drive train. Thus, was thinking that vehicle might be ready for SW or for other Drag& Drive events as RMRW, HRDW, etc. As always, there are others within the VGG "Fleet" which certainly can be prepared for use within SW 2024 too.
Which of the VGG, if any will be used and by whom during the upcoming SW 2024 event ?
Your videos are always enjoyable, appreciated along with Your chosen involvement, projects and "Give-AWay" projects too.
All The Best and Much Success in Your Quests, Health, Happiness and Well Being to each, everyone within the Derek Bieri Family, Friends, Associates, VGG, etc., Sincerely
You didn’t ruin that paint, you set a new standard! Awesome!
Man that candy really made a huge difference and that exhaust - Nailed it!
That blue tint gives some old photo vibe to it.
I use to spend my Saturday mornings watching car shows on TNN. Now I spend time with Derek. Coffee, egg sandwich and an hour of VGG. Good way to start my morning!
Clear looks great over the lettering and the bare metal. The blue tint goes well with the truck.
agreed. for not being done in paint booth looks really good. clear is hard to do right and not get orange peel. looks good.
Seeing that radio/HVAC portion of the dash brought back memories. I got my license at 16 in 1992, my stepfather had an obs Chevy extended cab short box. He changed the engine to a 350 and did the transmission. The first time I drove it, my stepfather asked me to back it out of the driveway, I didn't realize the tailgate was down and backed into a neighbor's car. The tailgate completely pierced the driver's side door of his Chevy Lumina. I don't think I ever drove that truck again.
Ahhh times.
Free hand artwork is a long lost art with most going to vinyl. Love it.
The painted decals and pin striping is a dying art. So cool to see a master of this craft at work doing this
I love that, "We got to test it out" My mom had an old 64 Galaxy 4 door. I would check the oil for her, and add some if it needed, but then told her. I should run it around for a bit to mix it together. She, bless her heart, let me. This was suburban Portland Or, early 70's. I finally got a ticket, and that ended that...
can't believe that officer didn't understand that the ol' galaxy needed to breathe a bit, get some fresh air, can't keep a lady like that cooped up, she needs to run free..
That hand painted lettering is a real skill
Wish more of this would still happen.
"Did I ruin it?"
My bleep bloop is NO. You found a way to embody what that truck is - an old rig with a story to tell that was given a new beginning.
Your care to maintain the history and tale of each vehicle you feature is admirable. It has inspired my son and I in our plans for my father in law's old truck that we are rehabbing and getting back on the road.
Loved the hundred yard smoke job .
The blue candy looks amazing! Can’t wait to see it in person! Great job as usual Derek!!
Thanks so much!
Your a awesome person so many people look up to Including Me! Stay positive keep up the work! We appreciate you
Thanks, appreciate it!
The tint looks PERFECT, and I ain't kidding ya
You really knocked it out of the park with the paint job on the work truck. Keep doing what you're doing, forever a fan.
Man, that guy's hand work is insane. Great job, great video!
That’s old school ! Hot Rod stuff 👍
Awesome work done by the crew at Volunteer Muffler, they've done some more really high quality work on this truck. The lettering work looks great too, really adds that little extra flair! That truck is going to be an absolute monster on the street and drag strip!
The lettering is amazing but I think it’s a bit worse off with the blue candy on it.
I think this trucks looks killer. Good job Derek. And yes I enjoy watching the sign painters do their magic. So cool to watch them do their craft.
That exhaust system is a work of art! If only all shops were this good
I know the bill for a system would be a pretty penny but also well worth it considering you can't find shops to even install x pipes and easy stuff now
Something very satisfying about watching freehand painting. He did a great job.
By far the GREATEST CHANNEL ON UA-cam! A feller couldn't ask for a show! Thanks Derek and all of the VGG crew for ALL YOU DO AND GOD BLESS 🙏❤️✌️
“Not sure if all that brown is rust or not..” filing away…storing..😂😂
Derek, I LOVE the candy blue over the lettering and the gray areas. I really liked the lettering beforehand but really like how it looks once it was "weathered" and coated in candy. It looks GREAT!
One of your best Derek! The paint “mistake” over the art work really worked out well. 😊
I agree, the mixologist recommended it, and was BANG on.. it looks so good, I want to go find an old blue truck..
Don't care to be a "hater" or "Karen", but my opinion is that the blue candy/tint should have been sprayed a bit lighter to showcase the hand lettering and the original delaminated gray paint.
@marknelson4068 it's still all there though, just takes a closer look. I'd bet the camera is nothing like seeing it in person
Absolute perfection with the blue candy. Awesome transformation!! Ive been watching a while now. The best stuff on UA-cam or any other media source. Guy looks forward to a new one every week. 😁
most intense craftsmanship exhaust ive ever seen
great work!
Derek...all i can say is thank you so much for all
that you do
i LOVE the age you put on letters before clear. damn that looks good
My high school rig nostalgia makes this gen of chevys my absolute favorite. Miss my C1500.
I spent a lot of those years in the drinkers side of a 93 (couldn't keep a license more than a few weeks myself) and man, being in one now is an instant trip back.
Now that's one serious exhaust system
Absolutely AWESOME clear coat finish...beautiful Derek!!!
Wiping down the truck, "Got a pair of my old undies here. Not quite sure if all that brown is rust or not." LOL!
Always look forward to your videos Derek. Keep doing them just they way you are
Much appreciated!
I think the truck looks great! The blue candy looks great. Especially after the hand painted detail was added. Can’t wait to see what gets done with a hood. Love the different sounds of the exhausts.
I love when you do stuff with Motion Raceworks! I’ve been watching this build from the start and it’s cool to see you working on it!
Always the perfect way to end the week. Having a cold snack and watching some VGG. Thanks for all that you and your family do for us subscribers Derek. I know it means a lot to me and I’m sure many other as well
I normally don't like patina, but with that clear coat blue pearl, I like it a lot.
Man, that engine is insane! (Only $32k ... lol) That long burnout looked positively effortless - what a beast! Amazing work with the sprucing up treatment Derik - love the blue tint to the lettering. Shine Juice is legit!
Dude. Right? I about fell off the couch seeing the 1/10 mile burnout from that thing and she could’ve kept going for a while too. I have a 00 OBS z71 tahoe and was thinking to myself, I need that engine and about fell off the couch again when I saw the price. Jealousy level is a peak 10 right now
Incredible job once again from.
Volunteer muffler.
Well done, Chad, Derek, and the rest of the crew
your lettering man is the true artist as well.
I just love how God blesses the common folk and confounds The big corporate that insist they know what they are doing.
You're well on your way to 2 million subscribers because it's the best thing to subscribe to on UA-cam. That's free subscribers. I tell everyone into cars about vice grip garage because it's down to earth, real, and the best
No, you did NOT ruin it! I love every bit of the paint and clear coat.
Man you can’t put a price on hand painted talent like that.. it’s so good!
I wasn’t expecting that surprise at the end!
Well I'll be dipped, what a great way to end the week😁 thanks for all the hard work you put into entertaining us👍
Derek. Like most of everyone I have been watching your videos for a number of years now. I tell everyone that I know about you and your channel. Please don't change anything you guys do, I love that you have your family in with you and your son's helping. It reminds me of when my younger son used to help me working on cars. I'm 75 now and that was years ago. I love all of your videos❤❤ 😂
😂😂😂 ❤❤. some of them I have watched no less than 10 times. God bless you and your wonderful family.
Larry Smith from Oklahoma.
I can see the shop kitty is checking your work Derek! Must be purrrrrfect ofc 😆
Omg! What a beauty she is. Love the look after driving over "someones" tire marks.Epic. It's repetitive, but can honestly say as well, the best channel on here, hands down. I really don't know how you find the time for all these projects, but we'll take 'em!
Cool collaboration I love the way the community woks together, makes the whole world a.better place Thanks guys
That truck is a perfect balance of street head turner, race truck, and old school farm truck. What a sick build.
I love that candy blue on that primer and bare metal look after you clear coated it
I like the way you made the lettering look more worn, looks awesome.
Love it two in one week appreciate all the hard work it takes to make these videos
Thanks for watching, I do put in the hours, that's no joke!
A feller has to take a break once in a while. Don't need you getting burnt out @@ViceGripGarage
The clear with candy looked amazing and loved the blue hue it done to the gray and lettering. Truck will look sick going down the drag strip.
Bleep bloop…definitely did not ruin the truck. That candy clear looks fantastic! Great job!
VGG absolutely killing it in 2024 already 👍👍👍 The Motion truck looks and sounds amazing! 👍🙏👍
Derick, you really do alot for your viewers and i don't want to come off as a brown nose kinda feller but as so many others have said, lifes been really hard as of late and your channel is one of my only places to go for a little sunshine.
Thank you so very much, you do more for many of us than you could possibly know.
( Your just a guy anyone could be proud to call friend, we all don't get that in "real" life, sad but true.)
So please be safe, keep doing what you do, and we all will always be here ( hopefully that was not "too" creepy 😅) enjoying this thing you do...
😂😂😂😂. The edit for the air compressor repair scene was awesome
this truck is awesome! Motion did a great job and sent it to the right guy to put the finishing touches on it and you knocked it out of the park! its beautiful! not restored but tastefully revived! what an honor to be asked to race the truck for them at sick week!
Looks so AWESOME!!! Really proud, makes me love my 97 GMC ext cab that much more and she is a beauty, all stock, black paint that still looks amazing 216k miles never been opened up, and runs perfect, BRAG, BRAG lol and damn proud of it too!
I have to say I have watched a lot of people with d.y.i. shows. And a VGG has got them all beat hands down. You keep it interesting and fun with a little comedy thrown in. The biggest thin I like is a feller keeps it honest and does something I have seen no one else do. And that is include the family. You always do exceptional work.
I think the paint came out much better than I expected, the Candy really made it interesting.Keep doing what you do, see you at Sick Week.
You are driving a 1000 horse truck. I'm so jealous. Your first burnout... I shead a tear... I need a truck like that. Thanks for sharing this
Love it. Love the family too. Thanks for your hard work!
What a awesome job Jessica does with them boys lets give her some credit for sharing such a huge part of her family with us ..
from Iran here, can't do much but like and comment to thank you for all this!
Love the paint. The blue over the white letter is great. Love what it did!!
The truck looks awesome! I love how the candy blended over the lettering and bare metal
Always entertaining Derek. Your love for cars and trucks is why we are here and your personality is why we stay.
Absolutly true... I wish i had found VVG years ago BEFORE i restored my 70 Challenger..
It looks amazing I think the blue tint from the clear coat looks amazing on the lettering and the bare metal spots!!
That blue candy made the grey absolutely BEAUTIFUL!
Congrats on getting the chance to drive that truck for them. That's amazing
I've been a follower since you put out the first budget derby 350 build in the corner of your home garage. If you truly put in the time and effort to follow your passion its amazing what could happen. Keep up the great content Jessica and Derek.
This truck lays down one hell of a set of 11s. Derek, you are a Big inspiration behind why I started my channel. Love getting out in the shop doing allllll kinds of things, but cars are my favorite.(ONLY THING STOPPING YOU. IS YOU.) Get out and get hands on with your project folks.
I think the candy worked out well. Nice job. My buddy used to hose down the garage floor a little bit when he painted, said it helped keep the dust down.
Old school work truck , all the old school work trucks I have seen have a picnic table hanging off the back for lunch break. Buffet table.
Derek did an awesome job with the clear coat, that blue really pops.
Fun times as usual Derek, brought me out of waiting to get the project done before driving to just get it on the road and have fun with it!
Derek, you and your painter really did a hell of a job on this project
You did a great job on the clear. I love how the paint looks now. Great job.
Can’t wait to watch some VGG content from sick week!! Great job on the truck.
I want to say that over time with washes, white graphics do end up going blue (the 4x4 bed logo on my 96 Sierra did this), so the blue tint to the graphics is actually right on the money for the “old, distressed” look
Flippin GORGEOUS !!! Love the way the blue blends together,, just perfect 🙂
That looks absolutely FANTASTIC!! You never cease to amaze!!
The "And Then", is cracken' me up! Great job Derek!
The Motion shop truck is a sweet unit, and I LOVE that you have teamed up with them on this build. Can't wait for Sick Week!
Shout-out to Browder. Everything I've seen him do on here and Roadworthy Rescues is absolutely awesome!
Derek, OMG. IT IS OUT OF THIS WORLD. IT KNOCKS MY SOCKS OFF
That's one bad ass bowtie, keep up the great work Derek 👍
Another video man a guy aint gettin no sleep working so hard for us to see some car mechanicals Thanks buddy
Heck YES! A Guy's been waiting on a Feller to get to business on this Gem👌🏻🤘🏻🇺🇸
Glad you did the inside of the bed looks great
Wow. what a beast! Heres a guy in the UK that says he CANNOT wait to see that in Sick Week!
You were just teasing us when working on the duster. Glad to see that beautiful piece of jewelry!
The entire truck,, especially the roof and blue tint over the lettering looks absolutely AWESUM!! The final candy'ish' color brings the word "SERENDIPITOUS" to mind me thinks 🙂
Dude, Derek, the way that graphic designer worked with the paint, or lack of, just incredible!
NOT A DAMN THING WRONG WITH THAT PAINT JOB! BENTLY'S ROCKIN' A MULLET TOO. WHO LEFT THEM MARKS ON THE ROAD?😮 good job derek👍👍
AMAZING JOB Derek and crew!! I know Doug will be super impressed with the turnout!
