- Hello folks and welcome. In this video, I get my hands on the 2018 Ford Fiesta ST 5-Door. I thought it would be a great idea to take it on a road-trip to the Nurburgring and do a a few Laps.
This will be a test to see what the ST is like as a long distance Car and its abilities to blend in at being a drivers Car. More importantly is this worth the upgrade over the previous Mk7 Fiesta ST.

Very well made review Sid! Still a fan of the Mk7 but this Mk8 is a really well made car! You cover all the most important features of the car and the Ring lap was the icing on the cake! Keep with this work mate!

Driving the nordschleife was probably the most fun car related things ive done the corners are fine but the damn elevation changes where an eye opener. the G-forces and the way the car reacts to it was a new expierence for me

I've got a mk8 st line but I'm doing a 48 hour test drive from ford this weekend and I'm sold the fiesta St is brilliant sooooooo good so I'm going to buy a 3 door next year at 2 in race red with performance pack can't wait .great vid again m8
Totally agree mate..I've always had a problem with the back end of the new fiesta ST..looks a lot better when lowered but when sitting on the factory fitted suspension it just don't look aggressive enough unlike the MK 7
I love the understated look at the rear, I say 'underated' it does to me still look stylish and however sometimes less is more.
the rear is classier than most of the competition, quality rather than boy racer
Had a little race with one of these in my EP3 the other day, quick things I could only just keep up!

It was a fun few days with the little Fiesta ST. A very grown up package 👍🏽. But you can still behave badly when you want to 😈

Sideways Sid you still haven’t told us which st you prefer, the mk7 or mk8? Like to know your thoughts.
Be interesting to see what a Stage 1 can produce, that engine sounds great to.
These small cars have come a long way, it looked completely relaxed and stable at 144mph! Doesn’t pull on my want strings though
I personally think the mk8 looks better from every angle, yes the back is very different to the mk7 but I think it's just grown up.the front looks unreal and it sounds much better. Cant wait to get mine in 6 months

It’s a good looking car with sweet performance for a 3 cylinder.Only problem being a 3 cylinder it won’t tune up very good.I guess the top end is pants being a 3 cylinder

Mk 7.5 owner here and I've bit the bullet and just ordered my ST 3 in magnetic grey with exactly the same spec as the one you showcased. Can't wait to get my hands on it!!

Great review. Shows it is a better road car compared to the mk7.5 (especially in the UK). Even if you do a fair few track days 90% of the time you are on the road so that's where it counts. 25K is really steep though.....such a shame really on the price as there's a lot of cars out there for that kind of money. Looks, fun factor and price of the mk7.5 still makes the 7.5 hard to fault in any areas really (other than the ride maybe) so I still think the mk8 has some work to do (needs to depreciate :-) )
Mk7 rear and front imo. I like how slim and funk it looks. I own one. From the back, this kind of looks like a GTI. Interior is superior. I don't like the fact that it has drive modes. I like the whole "get in and go" philosophy. Sport mode is you're foot and shifts.
Would love to see you review a Suzuki swift sport wether that be a 2012-2017 or a 2018- model
It looks sleek, slick and almost a sleeper. Better than the blue which will be a dime a dozen.
I’ve got a MK 8 1 litre standard brand new Fiesta whilst my MK 7.5 ST is in the garage, man the interior and infotainment is MILES better! The switch gear is better quality too. The dash is also nice with the screen hmm.. I did test drive the new ST too, it is fast and sporty and feels more grown up, hmm but 25k...

Not sure if they changed the brakes, I know in North America it has two different brake options, summer tire package comes with the grippier sportier brakes which are super dusty but perform great. All season tire package comes with less dusty normal brakes which people say perform well, but probably not so well for track.

Love the rear end! subjective.
I like the look of the car.. from the front but i totally agree that the rear has let it down. To me the rear looks like a small version of the ford galaxy.
Needs some aftermarket bits on the exterior😋
How many B&O speakers and how do they perform?
The front end of Fords look more aggressive and Aston Martin like as Ford own Aston so the grille and bumper is based around that
I own the MK8 ST, overall its a better car. Better interior quality, more gadgets, more economical and the exhaust is so much better. You can chuck this in corners and the grip is insane. The LED headlights look brilliant, shame about the rear end but I'm slowly coming round to it. Going to add a diffuser and spoiler lip to add to it.
ITS TEASING MEEEEEEEEE. It's not coming to the states, sadly. Guess i'll enjoy my MK7 Fiesta ST... just gona revo rt330 it

Apologies, late comment on the rear styling. As with the lesser models it really does miss the high up light clusters. it's just too bland there now and could be anything..

London Cars and Games I’d probably say roughly 15%. It’s not fake, it makes the same noise as what it sound like from the outside.
It’s just because the refinement is better improved - it’s needed.

I feel like a MK7 Shell with all the internals of this MK8 would be perfect.
Still I should say, 25 grand for a new too spec Fiesta ST, the new Mercedes AMG A35 starts from around 35k... the A45 rumoured to be 45K.. the ST seems a bargain.
Its not eorth £25,000 its overpriced asf.
Jake Lamotta you can easily get 3 grand off no probs making this the performance bargain nothing comes close at this price point
