A short experience from me. I have driven the Ford Fiesta st 1.5 (it's the car of a good friend) for over 1.000km the last 2 weeks and can say that it is a very great car. It feels very powerful/torque (about 300nm) and the pops if you down- and upshift at the right rpm's and the sound overall is so much fun and sounds really great. We drove straight on the autobahn max. 240 km/h and downhill 260 km/h (it's completely stock). But the most impressive part is the performance at the country road, it's soo much fun. I can recommend the car to anyone that looks for a powerful small car with a great look, outstanding performance and a good quality-price ratio.
@@Hells_Gift_MB I have also driven the last generation of the fiesta st (182). The ride quality on the new one is really good, i would say slightly better then the previous generation (the previous st is also a really great car in my opinion). I have also driven the new fiesta st for about 300km straight on the german "autobahn" you can drive it daily and also for longer distances, but you feel that the suspension is on the harder side. Don't unterstand me wrong the car is quite comfortable for a small car, but the whole setting of the car is on the sporty/agile side. I would recommend you to test drive the fiesta st and then you can experience it on yourself, how the car feels for you.
I’ve got an st-3 and the ride is not as harsh as the previous gen, it’s a stiff car and at times is a little jiggly but a definite improvement, only really noticeable on poor road surfaces
Sounds crap and it’s 3 cylinder. Looks like a tiny minivan (odd looking rear) rather than a hatchback. Hardly best in class. A Polo GTI is more superior. Clio RS when it comes out with the 1.8T from Megane.
@Dom L. Lowest in the class? Is it fuck?...same 2.0l EA888 engine as in the Golf R with plenty of tuning potential. Relatively good exterior/ok interior with black trim, but each to their own I guess. The worst thing about the Polo is the lack of manual gearbox. I would probably go for something like a Peugeot 208 GTi if I was forced to drive a compact hot hatch. Cheap, fun and handles well. The Fiesta is good in many aspects but not the best in class imo.

iam still on a fiesta mk7, a regular one and iam hasitant with this one. reason is: rule of thumb with cars is: the smaler the car, the cheaper the built quality. we have 2 fords of the same generation. a 2012 fiesta and a 2014 cmax. interior sound isolation is a huge difference between the two and she shift feeling, how smoth the gearbox is, is different. hell, even my old vectra b from 1999 felt smoother when it comes to switching gears then the 2012 fiesta. it just doesnt slide easily, it feels nothings really smeered in there. its like the fiesta has a 500 dollar gearbox and the cmax has a 1500 dollar one. and i fear that its the same even with this fiesta st, that theres a huge difference in haptics between a fiesta st and a focus st.
Looks heaps better in four door hatch.
It's only in this model 👏😎👌
Great Test - verry professional - thank you - can you also use the car for longer Autobahn distances? Actually I am Ford Focus ST 2017 and it is ok to drive on the Autobahn - maybe you can tell me if I can compare these 2 cars? Thank you
bottom left of the rev counter
I wish they did a 2.0L 4 cylinder version of the ST. Would love to know how much more HP they could squeeze out of that
Too much i think lol
Saw it 3rd time. I test drove one and never noticed a shift light but i dont think i revved it out much
Nice👍👍
Kun je wat vertellen over het verbruik. Hoeveel km kun je ongeveer rijden op 1 liter benzine?
I wait the RS version
Shame this interior etc. is NOT available in the US... (WHY)...
Let's all do our part: call or write Ford US Customer Relationship Center and tell them what their American customers want. If we all contact them, maybe they'll realize it's a profitable business decision to bring the Mk8 Fiesta ST 6 spd manual transmission to the US/North American market. Wouldn't hurt to ask for the Mk4 Focus ST and/or the Puma ST 6 speed manual as well!

Should I buy in 2020?
The new 3 Door st looks a lot better than the 5 door
Aqui no mercado Brasileiro não tem essa versão!
looks pretty bouncy at high speed
Cool, but the states as always didn't get this one...
Shift, slightly lower to the left of the rev center.
Better than Yaris Grmn?
I know im a bit late but would this make a good first car? I really like it
if you like it go for it
Yes it does.
i willo never understand why they made this 1.5 into a 3 cyl engine. 1.5 can be made into 4 cyl and its much more stable and durable
Is the noise that comes through the speaker from the actual car? Or is it just random exhaust sounds?
can you tell in your videos the petrol consumption at those speed limits you are driving?
This car is a very good competitor for fast hatchbacks. 200hp is more than what a BMW 3 series from 2011 2L used to produce.
It's sound like a little 6 cylinder or It is Only a my impression? Why Ford don't built a version with an automatic transmission? In 2019 yuo must give an alternative choise for a buyer!
They have one
i watch on Mercedes-Benz S-klass
I want this car right now :(((
I had a Renault Clio RS Trophy. that car consumed a lot of fuel.
what about the fuel consumption with the Fiesta ST ?
Well mate, I have owned one of these for a year and a half now. Last week I completed a 220 mile trip at 49.6mpg (UK). If they are driven normal throttle around town I'd expect around 35-40mpg BUT, with a lot of fun included around 34-35...Still really surprising how good it is on fuel. I have also remapped mine stage 1 including air filter.
I’m pissed that ford stopped car production in North America, who’s with me? 😡
I would like to know if it has a flat shift, and what fuel consumption you can achieve if you drive in normal mode?
Apparently you use about 6.5 -7l of fuel if you use it for daily driving.
If I remember correctly it does indeed have flat shift!
Does it 'eat' a lot of gas??
Does it have rev match?
You are allowed to go 130 on normal road in Germany??
😍 Fiesta
