Love the Fiesta ST, one of Fords best cars, and with a Modified turbo bolt on makes for quit a weapon.

The pops and bangs are mad!! Wish the polo was that loud. But to me I like how refined the polo gti for daily driving so I would end up getting that. Great video btw. I like the ideology of your channel, relatively cheap performance cars, nothing ridiculous.
Yeah the Polo is great for relaxing everyday driving with the DSG etc. And thank you! Just like focusing on stuff thats more realistic.
Polo is boring as hell, as usual with those bloody VW
VW are so boring, even the Golf R is dull albeit good. VW like to say "refined" but in the real world it just means boring if you're a petrol head.

@@ashcosmo3854 VW are understated which some like myself happen to like, if you sit in a VW and then sit in a Ford the difference in quality is there to see, not sure about the mk8 Fiesta but when I sat in the mk7 it was cheapest crapest interior I've ever seen full of cheap squeaky plastics, I'd take understated quality build over cheap exciting plastic any day, each to their own I guess

Must admit I wish my polo sounded like this.
I think thier is something thats lacking in the polo when your cruising and slowly put your foot down. Ram it down it flys.maybe have the st one day But I doo love my polo gti🙂
Nice vid, no doubt the ST is the more engaging car in stock form, but went with the Polo, was betting on better potential with the 2.0L. It seems to have paid off. On a JB4 piggyback it makes 265hp and 372Nm. No other mods. 😎 so not even stage 1.
When you look at the Dyno graph you can see the Fiesta ST has more top end and that the Polo GTI dies after 5K rpm losing 40hp between 5-6K rpm... So makes sense the Fiesta ST seems more eager. Am pretty jealous of that diff though 😅...
Would be good if you add a quick segment on cruising mpg @70 and also fast driving mpg too for these cars you test drive since that is quite an important factor for a lot of people.
The back looks a lot better in person compared to videos and pictures i think
I can confirm this. I just picked up mine last friday st2 . actually i was shocked when i saw it in person loving it.
Yeah I didn’t notice it to be an issue in person either, it’s strange in photos as it does look a bit like a van,
Love the look of this new fiesta ST looks better than the Polo GTI, saying that the Polo GTI has a better interior. Fiesta has an LSD though. But the Polo has DSG 🏆

I’m looking and this Ford ST but not sure whether to get the ST 2 or ST 3 ? Do you think the difference is noticeable and worth that extra money ?
I had a Renault Clio RS Trophy man that car consumed a lot of fuel.
what about the fuel consumption with the Fiesta ST ?
Just needs a cpe engine mount on it for even better handling, and a revo stage 1 to take it to 250 bhp.

1:49 Why would the size of the car dictate whether you need LED headlamps or a panoramic sunroof? I don't think it's the size that dictates that, more the personal preference of the buyer. Plus these options cost a hell of a lot less than if you want to get the same options on an Audi / BMW / Merc alternative.

Got a mk7 st but do want this one. Didn’t like it at first but it’s grown on me
3cyl does sound very cool, not sure on its tuning capabilities though if you're into that sort of thing

The shape before was miles better the rear looks like a boring everyday Nissan loved the old side high up rear lights it just looks very boring .nice interior and front

Polo 200ps from 2.0 litres
Fiesta 200ps with 0.5 litres less.
Polo has to be the more tuneable.
Polo weight 1355kg
Fiesta weight 1262kg
So with nearly 100kg advantage not surprised the ford feels more urgent.
Dont like the info screen in fiesta as it looks stuck onto the daah as an afterthought.....id be scared of snapping it off by accident.
Windscreens are getting further away from drivers!
Also the back of the fiesta doesnt look as squatted down as the mk7 did. Check the wheel to arch gap.....
fatwalletboy2 The dyno numbers so fare from the polo on a JB4 suggestiv about 231 WHP (about 265 at crank) and 370-420 Nm. The higher torque with better cooling... :)

These are slowly growing on me, wonder if they will have the same issue with poor gearbox. Only time will tell...
I would bet they do if not something wrong with the engine, probably the 2 cylinder drop issue or something, but who now's fingers crossed nothing major

Yeah the only thing. Would you buy one when hyundai themselves have reported the suspension settings will be revised for 2019 on the i30N, following customer feedback and the Nth Degree days held at Millbrook. The revised suspension will make it more usable.
I'm waiting for some 2019 reviews before I buy one indeed. There is also a DSG option coming in 2019.
Its a quick car its not an absolute weapon in terms of hot hatches.
Its not a hyperhatch suchs as a Golf R or AMG45 but a competitor for the Megana RS and the golf GTI. Hyundai has the most balanced package with power, braking, price and it is the most fun and best sounding one in the segment.

apparently the mk7 is more driver focused but the mk8 makes up for it by being more of an all rounder. Would be good to see a direct comparison
@@yaz258 Yeah looking at all the reviews coming out the MK8 is the better all round package which I expected. Sat in one was hoping to test drive but Ford were taking too long. The driving position I definitely prefer over my MK7.
Think I've got a little too much power going through the front wheels now dying to get an LSD. Too much wheel spin but will be awesome if my car can come on the channel 😊

It's a tough choice, I think maybe I'd go with the Polo but for me I like both a lot so I could flip a coin and be happy either way.
