Congratulations for your english reviews! I'm a pretty old subscriber of your romanian channel and today I'm very surprised that it took me so long to find this english channel. I love your reviews and I was always very unpleasantly surprised about the small amount of views and subscribers that you've got related to the high quality of your content. I am happy to see that this other channel allready has more views and I hope both of your channels will receive the appreciation they deserve. Keep up the good work!

I feel that the exterior styling kind of fell flat on this generation. The interior is great, the new motor and LSD are an evolution forward and I'd rock the 3 cylinder no problem, but I think the car looks rather bland compared to the prior gen. I think it is the rear end mostly. I still like the car though and this is a great review, subscribed!
In english you have another content? why? one of them are gone...or were edited. i can t find the test with octavia rs, you said the presentation is extra
I wouldnt risk it. Ford already have issues with ecoboost engines from what ive read. Car makers are trying to squeeze too much power out of very small engines, it simply cannot do them any good long term surely. I really dont believe they will last as long as four cylinder engines.
Good question, but superbikes have been using two and three cylinders to get v.high power outputs for years. Ducati currently get over 200bhp from two cylinders.
Spot on Del I've been thinking the same thing ever since I've heard these are coming to Australia in the next few months .No doubt they are a fun out a smile on your face hot hatch but 3cyl big bore highly strung turbo and Ford in Aus isn't exactly known for long term trouble free motoring that's why here in Aus apart from ranger ute which sells very well the rest of there infantry sales are not selling at all eg focas, fiesta mondeo
Anyone who is a professional level driver doesn't grip the gearstick like grabbing an apple (as you do), the gear stick is pushed forward with the base of the hand, pulled backward with the fingers - directly forward, directly back (so, no possibility of side movement - i.e., wrong gear ) ; I've been driving 47 years, all kinds of cars, including Formula Fords, I've only ever put a car in the wrong gear twice - and that was because the car had a sloppy gearbox, badly designed --- you may not think how you manipulate the gearstick is important but, believe me, it is -- if you accidentally select the wrong gear on a high speed down shift (when racing) you'll WRECK the engine
So in South Africa this car is not coming due to petrol quality issues... Crap... It looks so amazing and what's with the story with the panaromic sunroof... Ford never came wit panaromic sunglass in South Africa..
@@TunedIntoCars My thoughts exactly... We have 95 here in South Africa, I know that a lot of South Africacans prefer VW... But the market for Ford is there and... We eve. Drive the Focus RS... But amazing review you did, please do more... Like the Megane RS Lux
@@billalmabuza8835 its really sad bro😔 and its crazy how they sell mustangs in Sa but wont bring in such quality cars...i swear this car would replace most VW'S, it would be the new polo of Sa😄
Yet again, Americans cant get this car. Ford stopped making cars for us market. Just trucks and crossovers. They still make the mustang. I guess we have the golf, and civic SI and some other option. I just wish we could buy this.
I think the sales figures of this car might disagree with you. For sports cars and hot hatches I think handling is much more important than the actual performance of the engine. At least that's what the people that buy them are interested in.
CARtuned! So you mean people will ignore whats under the bonnet so long as it handles well ? I can actually see that happening. A generation of car buyers who have no idea about engines, have no idea what hot hatches are all about because all the great cars are being diluted into nullified tech filled boxes, but will buy something because they read reviews which are all fluffy and nice and because everyone says its a good car. Petrol heads are becoming a dying breed.
But what's your actual problem with the engine? Just that it's a 3 cylinder? Have you driven one? On paper I felt the same way about the car but as soon as I've drove one I changed my mind. Power unit an chassis on this car are really good!
Definitely wait for 3 years or so .. this is a new engine with cylinder deactivation sounds like it's a ticking bomb ... Lots and lots of problems with ecoboost engines...
Are you dumb? The ecoboost from 2011 in the UK are still running and with 150k km. The way the engine is designed is the envy of every brand. Learn your facts before talking. VW group is now using the continental turbos that ecoboost has been using since 2011. In the first 2 year there were some glitches. With the cooling system etc. Psa group 3 in line new engines with turbos are blowing up like crazy, and it's 1.2lt, those engines are hitting the 2 year mark. Fiat firefly engines are going caput. I own the 1.0 with 138hp the St line, it is cooler no matter how much you push it, has a unique 2 ways water cooling system, the outside walls of the cylinders, besides de water cooling they are air cooled or heated with the recirculated gases of the exhaust while the engine heats up. The engine is made of reinforced cast iron, and the head of forged aluminium. The vw group tried so hard to copy the Ford ecoboost engine, even using same parts like turbo, and the 1.0 vw 3 in line with 116 hp looses to a 1.0lt 100hp fiesta ecoboost. So many engineers here and nobody know anything. VW group uses aluminium in the body and head of the engine on their 3 in line. Those are ticking time bombs. Try ask vw group for a 7 year warranty just like the one Ford offers on their ecoboost, they will laugh in your face.
No, not a good idea. I would not touch this car with a bargepole. The great hot hatches will soon become a distant memory, as car makers make smaller and smaller engines for the sake of economy and emissions. In fact, all the great engines are being consigned to history. Cars will become soulless, characterless boxes and everyone will be wearing completely white clothing and the maximum speed limit will be reduced to just 50mph. Get a real motor with big exhausts while you still can, and put yer foot down !

You quote power in British Imperial measurements, but torque is quoted in metric Nm. Now the UK has left the EU, perhaps you could quote power in kW.

The color isn't brand new. The previous generation Fiesta St 200 was also available in this color.
Can't choose 3 door or 5 doors.... 3 doors look better maybe but not by Much
I dont care about what everybody says, just listen to the stock exhaust!
Does the limited slip differential benefit MPG and lower tyre wear?
It's only for cornering. Look it up. Lots of info on the web.
Ford 2017-2018 design is impressive.
I really love this car, the two extra doors make it even more practical. Sadly Ford wont be bringing it to South Africa. 😭
Indeed. The car also looks bigger than the 3 door variant.
I had to pay 32k for mine here in NL and seeing the price in other countries hurts my feeling a bit.
I guess it's because of the fact that there's no car tax in Sweden. I've seen some M2 prices and I was shocked!
Just payed £21445 for mine.
£32k ouch.....
NL uses euros, not pounds :) But it's still a lot
@@TunedIntoCars We only get the ST3 five door to make things worse haha.
Here in Italy the price for the car in the video is about 31k euros. You can have discounts for 4-5k more ore less, this make the price suitable
