same. but the FiST is a relatively light car, and it has been set up so well. Misha was never fighting the car, except for that slight bit of understeer in some places, which is always a welcome thing IMO, a gentle reminder that if you continue you're going to lunch it.
The stock brakes are not good enough especially with stock fluid. But if you upgrade pads, discs, fluids and run on semi slicks it helps a tremendous amount to have the brakes not fade at all. used to have one myself that I tracked on the NS & Spa. The semi slicks in itself made a tremendous difference also in brake temps because the brakes had to work a little less due to better grip@@acalthu
Wow this fiesta was flying 😃.You can tell there was lag but most of the times its that what saves the engine .Lots of power down low has more chance of breaking.
This turbo normally spools up full boost at 3-3.4k rpm since i had it aswell, bur switched to a bigger turbo that spools up full boost at 4k rpm but way more power

Misha is still a VERY good defensive driver, but he still has that aggressive driver side to him that he needs to get rid of, it has no place in TF.
After watching plenty of Misha's videos, I learned that if a car is able to reach to 200 km/h at Hohenrain chicane (forgive me if I'm naming wrongly), IT IS FAST. And this Fiesta, ladies and gentleman, fits perfectly in this description!!

Fun lap but its very obvious that car isn't making anywhere near 330bhp, unless it hits that for a short period around 7k. The acceleration is far too sluggish (I've been out in a genuine Fiesta ST making 300bhp), this car accelerates very slowly for something with supposedly much more power than stock. The only other explanation is the turbo is far too big for the motor and it just isn't able to spool it in a way that makes the car driveable, I'd go as far as saying a ST with much less power would out accelerate it. You can also see at various times during the lap it can't catch other hot hatches. Still love watching Misha and the Fiesta ST is a decent hot hatch.

It can probably dyno 330 when you’re loading the turbo for the whole dyno pull but in actual driving conditions the turbo is never under load long enough to actually produce the boost it made on the dyno runs.

Fiesta st is probably at the bottom of the list when it comes to rating hot hatches 😂 no where near the best or even top 5..however it still can be the best for you 😊
I’ve got all the decent hot hatchbacks or I’ve had one. And I can assure you my s280 powered fiesta st is my favourite overall. I do enjoy my i20N (such a shame the ECU is still locked) and I’ll never sell my RS200 Clio. But a well sorted fiesta ST takes some beating. Believe me….
Something does seem a little off with this. I have x47r turbo running running a safe 300bhp mapped by TRS and it gets through the rpms much quicker than this.
Very good handling! 👏👏👏 But there is a noticable delay in the power delivery makes it not suitable for tracks competitions. Probably it just needs some tweeks in the turbo system.
I would think the track is the one place where a higher spool wouldn't matter. There aren't any corners slow enough where you are out of the power band in 2nd I would think. On the street I could see a 25mph corner causing bog, but here I am surprised. My guess is this could use some finetuning with the wastegate, or something.
the 1.6 ecoboost doesn't like much to rev and the turbo is quite big. people that are comfortable with the car are gonna shift way more then misha does and always keep it above a certain treshold. there's nothing to mean or not mean to you, that's how some engine work lol
@@Stallzyx some set ups are beneficial but don't forget that its only 1.6 L it does not produce huge amount of pressure itself big turbo certainly not a good idea , might try like a custom built twin turbo, 1 small , 1 big, but not sure if it would be good without the rebuilt of the engine to have stronger components
It's weird because l have a fiesta ST with a x48r turbo. I make full boost (23psi) under 3k in 3rd gear. This car maybe has the wastegate pre-load not set properly, or the boost solenoid is broken. It may also have a VCT issue. The VCT really helps the car come on boost stronger in the mid range.
I know there is plenty of 300bhp fiesta st in the uk and a lot with popular 360bhp big turbo kits but just seems to be 300bhp+ only in a very small window of the rev range and being a smaller capacity engine I guess doesn’t help 🤷♂️ still a very fun car from the looks of it, performs decent for what can be had in the uk for £5k or below in most areas.
Now i can do the same in forzaaaa I feel like Misha 😂😂😂 what a good driver u are hope one day to come visit the green hell and go for a spin with a driver like that 🎉🎉🎉🎉
My biggest regret is getting rid of Fezza ST, economical daily but so much fun on the back roads and very forgiving for someone who thinks they are a better driver than they actually are! It's the kids with rich parents who inevitably end up with them upside down that give them a bad rep!

Would there be a chance to take the Lexus Rc350 F-Sport to the track or GS450h F-Sport ( 😅 ), the one with Dynamic Rear Steering? Apparently the handling is unlike any other and it would be epic if Misha expressed his opinion.
The M3 didn't expect the Fiesta to stick its nose in so early, but considering power-to-weight and all the screen-filling amount of mods, the Fiesta is probably the faster car. F1 cars in the 80s also had turbo lag, you gotta just keep them amused.
Reason 1 for adding this car in every videogame. Fiesta has been one of the greatest independent car since it’s coming to the world till date.
I still don’t know how is not featured in Gran Turismo or Forza. One of the most popular cars for young drivers, including myself.

Its not the power that is a problem. Its a torque that likes to test the strength of your components

Often 'over tuned' makes it worse, the manufacturers spend many millions on development, they know what they are doing.

Going around that M3 around 4:00 was insane driving by Misha but also shows the benefit of power-to-weight ratios 😅.

Kind of a shame the boost doesn't kick in till 4.5k rpm, this is why peak HP numbers mean nothing to me.

hp curve is important also coupled with torque, a twin scroll would do the job, might be expensive .
different turbos yield different results. Something like a X47R or peron/aet RT330 I believe spool up much faster than a S280 or garrett

I have a feeling this car is really well set up on the brakes, suspension etc. But not so good on the tuning part, boost comes in very late aswell.
