If you get a chance next year, try and hit Duthie Hill in Washington. Looking at your current riding, I think the shorter and sessionable trails will benefit you. The community there is great and you should have no trouble progressing!
I keep seeing youtubers riding trails without gloves. Is that a common thing these days? I haven't really done much riding since the late 90s (still have my old '95 Specialized Rockhopper Comp A1), but gloves were worn even more often than helmets back then!

Looking forward to your 22 road trip into Alaska. Girlfriend and I are hopefully traveling from Australia in the summer of 23 to do a a circuit from Vancouver, Yukon. Alaska then East to the Rockies and down along the B.C border with the USA hitting as many trails as we can.
Great video. How often is your bike in need of repair? Bearings, etc.? Since you are not riding a downhill bike, but I assume an Enduro/Freeride bike. My Trail/Enduro holds well on tech trails however jumping really wears down all the moving parts.
In Canada, that is called two broken fingers which requires a doctor to splint them and 4 weeks off. In NW Arkansas, we call that a Tuesday and keep on riding.
Hopefully you can get into Alaska where the wildlife is considerably whiter and a lot bigger than the black bears back home. Hopefully 2022 will be a more confident year for you and happy New Year from all of us in the UK

Eric you need check your testosterone level as your bones are very fragile. I've seen many lot worse crashes and people just got up without any injuries.
