I gotta say, seeing Remi help out with that step up, and his kindness makes me like both of you even more and really shows what I hope is the future of riding videos. Terrific work!
If there was a BCPOV crypto currency right now would be a good time to invest.📈📈📈 That was an impressive display of story telling. I'm kind of amazed how you were able to transition to each topic so smoothly.
Remy is probably one of the biggest name in mtb that you can just approach and say hi and he’ll talk to you like you’re talking to your buddy. I work in retail (London drugs) in squamish and ride bikes too. In and out of the trails, I talked to Remy and he’s always humble and friendly. Last year, I told him about my wrist problem while riding and he told me that it could be just my grips and hand position. He asked me to drop by his place (just below the trail head) and he’ll give me a set of ergon grips to try on. Fast forward today, no more pain, I gave the grips to one of my buddy’s who suffer from the same thing and fixed that as well. I’m on my new set of ergon and looking forward to fix my saddle pain issues (looking for an ergon saddle) to be in stock. Brands like Ergon definitely hits the jackpot when they choose rider like Remy to represent their products. It’s so easy to recommend and trust their products. 🤙
I genuinely appreciate your ride content. As a 40+ year old, fairly new rider, its great to see people ride and have average human responses to some features. It helps keep me positive about my ability to improve as a ride more and gradually attempt more challenging trails and features. Keep up the great content and have a fantastic (and safe) riding season!
Yep - I enjoy watching videos of pros and others whose skills are well beyond my own. But I also appreciate content like this...very relatable and authentic, but also highly engaging and fun to watch. I started riding when I was about 38, and I'll turn 50 later this year. I know that fear-reaction too well, and I know how it feels to overcome it as well. What may come across to others as a small victory can feel huge, so part of the fun is getting stoked for others when they have their own victories!
42 yr old just starting myself. Nice to know I'm not the only 40 yr old starting this. Though I did ride a tiny bit of bmx as a teen, that's decades ago
You are the best mtb youtuber when it comes to telling your emotions in a totally compelling way. Like Phil said, your storytelling is what sets you apart from the others right now. Superb work!
So cool seeing you ride with other famous riders like Nick, Phil and Remy. Just be a little cautious about not getting overly exposed or tired about increased fan recognition👍
i think remy doesn't understand gravity! lol. it's funny: watching the video of you trying the step up made me nervous, but when you were following remy, it didn't even seem like a big deal. i guess you manage to do a great job of capturing the feeling with the camera.
Celeb status Erick! You've got a big fan base. I think Remy follows you too. Nice job conquering the step up. It seemed like everyone I follow was there so this was cool to watch. Wish I was there. Bob T
Most wholesome mountain biking vid of the season! Remi is awesome, Yuka is awesome, Eric, you're awesome! It must be a fun to have everyone recognize you as you ride down. Thanks for sharing and have a good ride this year!
I don't know what it is about you, Eric, but when you make an achievement like conquering a step-up, I have a physical reaction. I get goose-bumps. I know you've had a tough mental battle with certain features and to see you conquer them really resonates with me. Also, Remy.. what a BOSS!
Celebrity bike park! Excellent video, great content, watching from the UK wondering why my grandparents chose to leave Canada for their native Scotland. I could have been a Canadian enjoying the best mountain biking in the world. 😢
first time ever at whistler I saw Brandon Semenuk sitting on his bike just off the lift line. I approached him to say hey, and ill tell you, he was not near as friendly as any of you guys! cool, but man props to you guys for the content and fan support!
I wish I could mtb with you Eric but I am starting mountain biking this summer and I live in Minnesota along with being the only one in my family who wants to mtb but it seems cool to meet you
I love watching your channel and how you have progressed. What a fantastic opportunity to ride with Phil and Remy. Getting tips from those fellas will definitely up your game. Looking forward to another great season of content. 🇨🇦👍
I definately know that "something in my head switches, and suddenly I can do it" kinda moment.... just, you know... with jumps maybe a quarter as high/long/scary :D
Hey Eric! Awesome video! I love all your whistler stuff, but I was just wanting to pick your brain on your thoughts on the Leatt 4.0 Full face you wear. I'm considering buying one. Is it nice to wear??
I've spent so many hours with my son watching this channel, Yuka's, and Remy's it's awesome to see you all ride together. Now whenever I miss my son, I'll rewatch them. (He moved to Whistler last year, little traitor) and sorry gents, Yuka is my fave 😍
11:57 _I've been following your videos for quite some time, so:_ *I was like:* Okay, Eric: you got this! You got this! C'mooon! Do it!!! YEAHHHHHH!!! YES!!!!!! 😂😅😆 I was really excited with you. Maybe even more 😝.
nothing you havent heard many times already I am sure, but please remember that in a bike park like whistler...you can almost blind hit all of the features if you're confident. They will all flow nicely, have nice supported run offs etc...literally EVERYTHING in that park is extremely mellow, even crab apple hits. That doesn't mean you SHOULD hit it blind, but knowing that you COULD can sometimes be a nice confidence booster, especially when you're following people. Since you get to ride with folks like Phil, just mentally commit to following him into the features. You know he is a mature / skilled rider who won't do anything insane when he is towing you in, and if he says you can do it, you very likely can. This is a sport that really benefits from confidence for sure. Most things are soooooooo much easier than they seem. The most dangerous thing sometimes is to under-commit. Now....outside of the park...you need to be much more careful.
Hey Eric, I’ve been meaning to comment on your struggle to commit to certain step ups for awhile. I will try to keep this short. Lol. I’m 53 yes old. I come from a BMX background and race cars. I’ve had countless surgery’s and broken bones. For whatever reason I just got back in the bike without a thought. Back in November of 2020 I decided to go visit rampriders near my home town in St Louis Missouri. I had RN been in a BMX bike in 30 years. Just road bikes and occasional very mild trail ride. I decided to do the wall ride. I went up about 8-10 feet and my front tire washed out and I fell onto my right shoulder. (The only real joint I haven’t broke or had repaired) I knew immediately I was hurt. I waited a couple weeks to get checked even tho I could hardly move my arm or sleep. Actually my wife made me call. After the multiple visits and scan I got the news of how bad it was. I was told by the director of shoulders at Barnes sport medicine, Dr Keener he wasn’t sure he could fix it. I’ve never been told anything like that before. I was really scared. Well I was blessed again and he was able to reconnect the multiple muscles torn from the bone and fix all the other stuff with 6 anchors. But, he said “ you only get one fix then I replace your shoulder” 😬. I went out bought a much better MTB. Marine zone 1. I put some really wide aggressive tires on it, for traction on berms. Maxxis assegia. 2.4 I believe. Any way, I’m terrified all the time. I’m afraid to get high in the air. Doubles freak me out and berm corners I’m damn near in tears. I really appreciate your openness about your struggles mentally on your bike. I fully believe you have helped me from crashing, in the past I would just do it and deal with the consequences. By the way, if I was 1/4 of your talent I would be fearless. You are an extremely skilled rider!!! Thank you for your sharing and your honesty. Stay Gnarly brother! 🤟🏻
Ha! I'm pretty much done with Whistler videos by now... except yours. You always have such a very cool perspective and top-notch filming. No matter what you do, it's always very engaging.
Ahhh it's good to be back watching you ride the park. Every time you show that clip where you crash under the step-up my whole body does a cringe. All take-offs are optional. Landings .......
Bike parks are so good for spoting big names, i remeber in 2019 me and my brother went to bike park wales (in the uk) and i just so happened it was during the time Gregg Minnaar was doing his size matter tour and he turned up to do a few laps and we ended up chatting to him at the trail head, got some pictures and then did a train with him with a bunch of other people who took the same uplift the guy was so humble and down to earth but also so fast and i don't even think he was trying.
Killer collab and storytelling. Eric I love your honesty about trail conditions and difficulty, skill level, confidence, fear mgmt... so seeing you ride with Remy was incredible. His cool as a cucumber approach to extreme features is enviable to say the least. So cool to see you switch off the amygdala and stick that step up. Cheers!!
How do you hit the step down blind Phil? Its easy, just jump. Lol. Awesome meeting the hype crew randomly through your adventures. Great video and definitely put a smile on my face.
Eric and Yuka, man you guys make great content, and it’s so relatable. If there was ever a person to trust in following off that step up/down its Remy, or Phil! I was cheerin for you out loud watching this vid. Keep up the amazing content man.
Think you're gonna be in kamloops any time soon? I'd love to run into you! Just started working for We Are One, so I've got some shoes to fill haha. Can't build top tier wheels and suck at shredding
I crashed on Crank it Up the exact same way as Yuka on opening day. And on Schleyer too on the off camber landing under the lift. Makes me feel so much better to see the exact same video from a superstar. Thanks for that ! Wish I'd seen you there. You guys are the best !
I am going to spend this entire summer secluded studying for a state exam... and now all i want to do is a train down any bikepark trail! Goooood whismas video Eric!

Eric, a good strategy to do scary features is to not think about the terrible outcome if you crash or a crash you’ve had before. Basically just say fuck it and go. Doing this can help a lot
Awesome video as always, Eric. Your self deprecating humor is always refreshing and Yuka's too! Great to see you conquer your fear and no less than a pro in Remy to tow you in. The gang was complete. Well except Josh I guess . Bdw, Phil's latest upload also showed him doing some crazy gaps and drops blind and on Mount Prevost of all places. Hahaha Remy is human. Confirmed. Lol
Thanks for having me! Nice on Fade to Black!
Legend!
Nice job on pretty much everything! 😂
I gotta say, seeing Remi help out with that step up, and his kindness makes me like both of you even more and really shows what I hope is the future of riding videos. Terrific work!
"yeah buddy!"
That whip on the moonbooter 😮
If there was a BCPOV crypto currency right now would be a good time to invest.📈📈📈 That was an impressive display of story telling. I'm kind of amazed how you were able to transition to each topic so smoothly.
Haha, thanks Phil, i definitely spend a bunch of time on the script!
It was definitely worth it 👌👌 Music choice always on point as well
reminds me of some tale that someone is telling with the music
Was thinking of the bear market now when bcpov mentioned the bear lol
Excatly Phil! Eric has the best story telling indeed.
Awesome getting some laps in with you! Nice job on Fade To Black too!
When are we getting the opening day 2022 video?
Super fun to ride with you guys 🙂 can’t wait for your whismas video!
I LOVE the noises Yooka makes when she crashes, It makes me laugh because I do the same stuff hahaha.
Hahahahaha I was thinking exactly the same 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Makes me laugh too 🙂 luckily she’s mostly un injured after!
Yeah Yuka going full Japanese when she crashed made me lol.

Watching you and remy ride together is so sick! I love seeing that although you’re on different skill levels you guys ride together like old buddies
Your ability to tell a story in your videos is incredible. Really high quality entertainment.

I love how Remy's helmet cam starts to look like a drone shot when he is in the air.
So cool seeing you ride with other famous riders like Nick, Phil and Remy. Just be a little cautious about not getting overly exposed or tired about increased fan recognition👍
Wow - Phil, Remy and you two all on the same day on the same trails! 🤙🏼🤙🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
Phil had got to be one of the best riders on UA-cam
i think remy doesn't understand gravity! lol. it's funny: watching the video of you trying the step up made me nervous, but when you were following remy, it didn't even seem like a big deal. i guess you manage to do a great job of capturing the feeling with the camera.
Phil, Remy, a train of fanboys -- what a hoot! And I think step-ups are the most stressful feature out there.
8:24 was the kaz? Damn I could recognise that custom trek anywhere
Had a chance to meet Eric last Tuesday at Smith Creek Cycle. Thanks for making great content.
-Gabe
Phil has got to be some kind of alien! I love all of your channels and content. Thank you all.
did Yooka get the Santa Cruz Bronson c r and put fox 36 factory and X01 on the bike?
Celeb status Erick! You've got a big fan base. I think Remy follows you too. Nice job conquering the step up. It seemed like everyone I follow was there so this was cool to watch. Wish I was there. Bob T

Good to know that Idaho isn’t the only place that had a long winter. (More like a crazy spring tho)
I'm pritty good at driveing a bike and I think i'd want to start a new hobby, should I start bikeing like you?
Because i'm intrested in this sport.
Celebrity bike park!
Excellent video, great content, watching from the UK wondering why my grandparents chose to leave Canada for their native Scotland. I could have been a Canadian enjoying the best mountain biking in the world. 😢

Why I love Remi and his videos. He has insane talent, but is always humble. Same with Steve, both absolute legends and seem like good people
Makes me smile seeing everyone else so stoked to ride with you
We love phil
Always love your videos and watching you and Yuka ride! Thank you for continuing riding and sharing your experiences with us!
Looks like a nice day in the park.
you gave me a big smile with this viedo, so much good energy
Nice one Eric - famous now! I bet it was fun to ride with Remi. You're making me want to head up to Whistler this year.....
I definately know that "something in my head switches, and suddenly I can do it" kinda moment.... just, you know... with jumps maybe a quarter as high/long/scary :D

That recognition-montage was wholesome and cool! „HIII YUKAA“ „hi :)“

Okay, Eric: you got this! You got this! C'mooon! Do it!!!
YEAHHHHHH!!! YES!!!!!!
😂😅😆
I was really excited with you. Maybe even more 😝.
Glad you cleared the jump again! Sweet videos. I really enjoying watching your content!
Headed to Whistler next week! 1st time at Whistler! Very nervous and excited! Based in the Midwest! Hopefully it’s not to muddy lol
Haha so cool seeing all the recognition. 100% deserved! Man I hope I get to do Whistler before I ...well....SEE YALL SOON!
YAAAA VAN GIRL YUKA!!!!
8:26 This has got to be one of my favorite moments with you two. Random kid yelling like an anime character out to Yuka 😆

Great video. Great job with conquering your nemesis- the step up - 💪🏽
What an unbelievable video of community and confidence. That's how we progress
Great vid, as always! You go where you look. Maybe you're looking AT the step-ups? Great job conquering it this year!
I’m thinking about moving to Whistler eventually, anything important that doesn’t seem obvious would be great to know.
Thanks!
I was in the video!!!!!!
Think you're gonna be in kamloops any time soon? I'd love to run into you! Just started working for We Are One, so I've got some shoes to fill haha. Can't build top tier wheels and suck at shredding
PRE-RIDE, RE-RIDE, FREE-RIDE, ..., Bear. That was the best thing I've heard in a week!
"as long as I know where it is." lol, I only wish I could ride well enough to say that.
Just found your channel as i am planning to come to whistler this snow season.
Great video, looks like lots of fun.
Got a sub from me :)
Sick video Eric, I would love to someday hit parks like you guys
I crashed on Crank it Up the exact same way as Yuka on opening day. And on Schleyer too on the off camber landing under the lift. Makes me feel so much better to see the exact same video from a superstar. Thanks for that ! Wish I'd seen you there. You guys are the best !
Heading to Fernie next week. It’s a really wet, snowy spring. Unfortunately the lodging is already paid. We’ll do our best. 😬
Great video. Good stuff!! Looked like a good day despite the trail conditions.
I am going to spend this entire summer secluded studying for a state exam... and now all i want to do is a train down any bikepark trail! Goooood whismas video Eric!
Weaknesses of bcpov and yuka
Bcpov: step ups
Big intimidating new features
Yuka: techy stuff and flow w/ big jumps
Maybe it is your mindset with the stepups, you say always damn thing and so on. Try to say, I want to jump this great feature :) and smile :)
thx for your nice videos
So Funny.... Thank you for the Videos. These muddy conditions is the norm in the UK for most of the year. I'm so envious of countries with more dry periods.
Great upload, Eric. How fun to have Remi tow you in on Fade to Black. He is such a good human being and as stoked as you were when you stomped it.
the fact that were still layers of snow sucks to be honest, but come on guys... who doesn't like a little bit of mud on a descent? It's funny, I feel like I'm 10 years old again or something.
I live in Ontario but this July im going in BC and I have hopes to get the chance to go to whistler
Wow, the story telling! It's like I just got drawn in and couldn't turn it off until the end, even if I thought I wanted to. That's a rare achievement on youtube.
Damn bro I swear you have the best content on youtube, amazing riding man! thumbs up from portugal! 😁
Remy is just such a sick rider. Everything looks huge and effortless.
Those bruises look pretty bad. I personally don't know why people wear knee pads I never fall on my knees.
I fall on my hip and I bought some race face pants with all the pads on them.
On one of my first rides out trying the padded shorts I slipped on a wet nasty bridge in the winter and it saved my hip.
Love you guys always waiting for Yukas videos and yours. Hi from sunnnnny Puerto Rico.
I completely understand being in your head like your step up thing. There are features in my area that for whatever reason I just can't bring myself to do, there not even that gnarly, lol.
I love your content and I have been trying to make mtb content. What camera do you use?
Just moved (back) to Whistler after 10 years, never touched the bike park last time so hoping to get in there this summer!
Super pro story telling and editing job, mixed with lots of "stardust" for a great video.
holy you could probably ski just fine on some parts of that mountain
defiantly come to win sport Calgary AB they have an awesome bike park.
Hi all I’ve always wanted to get a Better mountain bike Is there a good bike around the $900 range? If so where can I get it?
Come bike in port Alberni we have some cool trails and features here
You did it because you wasn't thinking in going under the jump. You was focused on follow him and get the same speed.
you dont suck at step ups.. its a mental game youre slowing down. you cant slow down on gaps.
Hahaha
Remy is human. Confirmed. Lol
Hey BCPOV when are you gonna post your Valemont rides, can’t wait to see the trails you rode
You are living a dream my guy, congratulations, your hard work is paying off big time
Jeez come to England if you want to complain about mud! These are the conditions for most of the year!
What's up fellow Yellow battle hog riders. I see yellow frame. I must follow. Even better that theres a double barrel yellow battle hogs.
