I wasn't going to post this. Then I read your comment. Every time Yuka crashes, my brain creates an anime version of her. It is, indeed, adorable and hilarious and I cringe every time Anime Yuka shows up.
My theory is because smaller ones you often try to save it which results in putting your body in awkward compromising positions. Big crashes you kind of just "go with the flow".
Yup, I've been doing a lot of crazy stuff and crashed without protective gear pretty hard without any real injuries other than scars. But half a year ago, I tripped on the last step of my stair, and managed to fuck my foot up enough to no longer do anything that extends 50 meters of walking. I still can't do anything with it and will likely have to wait one more year for it to fully heal. It's so spooky to know that there are things that can fuck you up more than broken bones and severed ligaments.
Love Yuka's reactions on casing jumps and during spills. However, she is usually willing to send it on most features, so, kudos for getting right back up and trying again. 2022 for VGY/BCpov should be awesome! Looking forward to the new year ride vids! Happy Shredding!
I broke my hand mtbing recently, so it's nice to see a new BCpov video to keep me occupied! Hope you keep up the good work! :) Let's hope for a hospital-free season next year.
Bro it ain’t a season unless u spend some time in hospital 😂
3 роки тому+2
I have to say, both of you made huge progress in jumping this season. Especially Yuka, who kind of did very sneakily, starting from a pretty awful bunny hop to happily clearing huge gap jumps. Thanks for all the entertainment!
Great video! You and Yuka just keep on going. Love it! 14 weeks in a sling for me this year thanks to an OTB and a 4-part shoulder fracture that the surgeon said was to complex for surgery. But I got back on the bike.
What's doesn't kill you makes you stronger and all that 😂 so proud that you've never let the fear defeat you and that you've gone and tried bigger and crazier things. Watching any rider progress is always awesome and you guys are on another level.. So proud of you both 💜
Full kudos to your wife, from the sounds she makes you know she feels all the bumps, and falls, but like a real trooper she keeps going. My wife would have given up long ago. ;-) Great video guys
Thanks for sharing these as most experenced rider videos are edited to so the good not the bad. The makes us less experienced riders more comfortable knowing we are not the only ones out there crashing. Stay safe out there and keep the content coming.
I wish all of y’all luck next year with your riding, I am out of the picture for abit since I broke my kneecap with a ride but I hope anyone reading this stays safe. Have fun and ride on!
I haven't been by in a while and I'm so happy to see your channel has blown up. Y'all are doing awesome. Great video as always. I have a lot of catching up to do. Cheers, Blueridgechunder
Watching crashes puts my body in a short state of shock. LOL!!! I am in my mid 50's and every time I am about to crash, a moment of terror overcomes me. I just don't heal like I use to. LOL!
Love this! My worst injury ever was tearing my ACL in my right knee, got surgery in 2021, just a month ago since my healing was 100%, took a year to recover after surgery 😅
This year has been health issues for me. Feels like I have been going from one sickness to the next. If it was at least an injury I could just push on and keep riding in some way. Heres to a better 2022.
During 2021, my dad and I went mountain biking for the first time. Over the summer we went twice, and each time came back with a big injury. A split chin for me and a broken foot for my dad. But we’re hoping for a fun 2022!
broke my arm this year after landing sideways after a jump. just got better but still far from complete recovery. Hope 2022 will be better for us all. cheers
Crashed once this year, and don’t remember the whole day of mountain biking. Multiple cuts on my knee from the pedal some of which were very deepand a 6 inch skinning of my shoulder are the only reminders that I went mountain biking that day. 4 months later and still looking at my wounds trying to heal. Nobody seen me crash either from my group so nobody knows what happened.
Had two hard crashes last year. One ended up in hospital. But thankfully nothing was broken. Other was a high speed crash. Overshot a jump. Hit a tree stump at 40km/h and flew off the bike, rotated in the air and landed on my back. Hit my back head so hard that I went real dizzy. Other than that most falls have been fairly harmless. Had some pain there and then, but nothing serious. Still fairly fresh to all this and learning tho. Been riding for just over a year
I think Yuka is the person who has more confidence than skill. Don't get me wrong i like her and her videos, but you know (-: It's more like a compliment
I had my first real crash in July this year. I went OTB face first into a pile of rocks. Ended up fracturing my nose, breaking my cheek bone but luckily kept all my teeth. I always wear a full face helmet but it gets so hot here in July that I bought a half shell and that was the first day riding with it (super unfortunate). I must have also taken a gut hit on the way down that I missed because after heading to the hospital to get stitched up, I ended up going back 2 days later with an intestinal issue and flagged for sepsis where I would spend 3 days getting CT scans and fed a liquid diet. I was right in between transferring jobs so I had no insurance when this happened so I have a massive medical bill now. I haven't had a real need to use my insurance in over 10 years and the 2 months I didn't have it, I needed it the most. Freak accidents man! Stay safe out there and stay gnarly!
Yup I had my fair share of crashes at windrock bike park this year. I flew off the side of the berm cause my front tire got to high on the turn and slipped.
Hm, I wonder if Yuka's front wheel flopping is handebar (width) or stem related. Usually that would affect how much weight is on the front wheel (affecting traction). More weight on the front might help.
Ya I hyper extended my thumb like about a month and a half ago. It’s still not right so I know how your buddy feels on the thumb issue I can do any Steep down hills it puts too much pressure on the joint.
I'm jealous of Yuka's crashing ability. I had 1 proper crash where my body left the bike last year, landed on my hand and I've been off the bike since (2 months now). Very jealous.
I have broken my left and right wrist plus a right thumb this year in a space of 8 months I really haven't had a great 2021 ( I'm only 13 as well) mountain biking is an amazing sport though.
Amazing video. As you said, crashes happen. I'm amazed what the human body can take as I almost broke my wrist twice this year. Luckily walked away without anything.
Man, you both are inspirational ! I learn as I watch the utube mtn bikers vid and yours are no different, so mahalos to both of you ! I got a couple crash compilation(limited editing) vids on my utube channel(Garth Hardin). So yr broken fingers cast looked the opposite of mine where the thumb was broken Aug. 24th. Fingers were free of cast but are now extremely weak as I had to wait 3 full weeks before the thumb bone was set with 2 pins. In that time, they reattached at a 30 degree crooked angle. The pins were in for 40+ days. I have not been on bike since as I have to move and I can't grip my handlebars or brake or shift still. Running 2 front rings. I am absolutely going bonkers not being able to ride !! Lookin forward to April for redemption !! Ride Jump or Wither !!
With this being said I can't wait to meet a Youka out in the trails. But my last ride of the season here in Oregon I fell & tore my MCL & fractured my tibia🥺
Nice vid. I'm off the bike for a month now after hurting my wrist. Still painful but will need to go out riding soon. Also, talking about cows - they look harmless but they can kill, so always take them seriously.
Worst crash on a feature in last may. Nothing broken if not my confidence. Had to wait october before attempting that feature with success. Like very much the video !
The sounds Yuka makes when wiping out are absolutely adorable and hilarious at the same time 🤣🤣
I wasn't going to post this. Then I read your comment. Every time Yuka crashes, my brain creates an anime version of her. It is, indeed, adorable and hilarious and I cringe every time Anime Yuka shows up.
To us it's adorable. If you speak Japanese you're probably covering your childrens ears.
She needs to make her own soundtrack of wipeout sounds!
Get her some triple clamp forks so she can’t over steer those wheel wobbles as you called it.
I was just thinking the same thing
Yuka is definitely my spirit animal 🤣 her reactions and commentary to her own riding makes my day. Ride on wild boar 🐗 😜
I find it interesting that in my experience that all the “smaller” crashes always result in the worst injuries
for real though I have the same thing with all of my crashes
My theory is because smaller ones you often try to save it which results in putting your body in awkward compromising positions. Big crashes you kind of just "go with the flow".
Yeah I see people fall off rocky cliffs and barely be hurt but I fall 2 feet on a berm on a green trail and my arm tents so bad I’m out for the season
Yup, I've been doing a lot of crazy stuff and crashed without protective gear pretty hard without any real injuries other than scars. Have to hand it to Yuka, she is the trooper of troopers. She gets right back up and on the bike!
i love when yuka has a sketchy moment she sometimes says something random in japanese
Yuka steals the spotlight! Thanks for sharing this 2021 re-cap, or should we say re-crash?
I broke my hand mtbing recently, so it's nice to see a new BCpov video to keep me occupied! Hope you keep up the good work! :) Let's hope for a hospital-free season next year.
Bro it ain’t a season unless u spend some time in hospital 😂

Love the total commitment from Yuka in everything she does, full send
I hope Yuka had final edit approval, or this could be awkward. Either way, I love her skills and her spirit!
I showed it to her and she was like "You missed one" and told me to add in another crash :)
@@BCpov ❤️
Great video! You and Yuka just keep on going. Love it! 14 weeks in a sling for me this year thanks to an OTB and a 4-part shoulder fracture that the surgeon said was to complex for surgery. But I got back on the bike.
Anyone else agree that Yuka's sound effects are the best thing ever!!!!
Yuka is literally the definition of full send all day every day 🤣🤣🤣
Yuka is a one woman Friday Fails reel. But, her mental resilience is amazing. I hope she never loses it
What's doesn't kill you makes you stronger and all that 😂 so proud that you've never let the fear defeat you and that you've gone and tried bigger and crazier things. Watching any rider progress is always awesome and you guys are on another level.. So proud of you both 💜

My wife would have given up long ago. ;-)
Great video guys
Awesome video! Yuka had me in tears with her sounds.
Yuka is indestructible! And fearless!
Thanks for sharing these as most experenced rider videos are edited to so the good not the bad. The makes us less experienced riders more comfortable knowing we are not the only ones out there crashing. Stay safe out there and keep the content coming.
Ita cute when yuka makes all those cute little sounds got to love yuka 🥰🥰
Great vid. Yuka's spirit is unbreakable! Here's to a happy and healthy 2022.
I just love listening to Yuka's commentary
9 minutes of Yuka making funny noises! My wife is Korean and she also makes lots of funny noises, just everyday stuff makes me laugh :D
Yuka is perfect example of crashing yourself to perfection. Where she has crashed so many times that she now knows how to serious injuries.
Any crash you walk away from with all body parts attached, is a learning experience. 😁😁
1:27 i love how yuka always goes "nyaaa"
Love Yuka’s sound effects. Priceless
I wish all of y’all luck next year with your riding, I am out of the picture for abit since I broke my kneecap with a ride but I hope anyone reading this stays safe. Have fun and ride on!
Great to see a video showing everyone the fact that we ALL crash at some point! You guys are wicked! Cheers!
Always love these end of year crash compilation’s. Tnx Eric and Yuka!
Yuka is amazing. Her nickname should be sketch. Great year guys. All the best for 2022🤙
I haven't been by in a while and I'm so happy to see your channel has blown up.
LOL!
Sorry I laughed so much at this. Yuka is truly something special in how she escapes injury despite all the crashes.
How can someone sound so adorable while crashing?
Unbreakable Yuka ! 💪
Yuka at any crash : Yaaah XD i love it
Love the video, Im a new biker and is watching your Jumps from the philippines. :)
More Power and God Bless you Always!
Love it! Yuka sometimes sounds like a grandma bringing the groceries upstairs :-P
You’ve been doing so many jumps in the past year! May I recommend next years bike is a dirt jumper
Some narrower bars might help out yuka's wheel flop... They look massive in all the go pro clips.
Love this!
My worst injury ever was tearing my ACL in my right knee, got surgery in 2021, just a month ago since my healing was 100%, took a year to recover after surgery 😅
Yuka is one tough cookie!! Respect!
Yuka, your great! Keep sending it!
Thanks for a great 2021 and all the best for 2022!
This year has been health issues for me. Feels like I have been going from one sickness to the next. If it was at least an injury I could just push on and keep riding in some way. Heres to a better 2022.
I’m really sorry to hear that. Also hoping 2022 is a better year for your health.

You are the most underrated MTB UA-cam
Merry Christmas guys.
Thank you for an epic 2021. Loved it. 👍
Down here in NZ there is a crap ton of gorse, and so when I crash.
Yea it doesent end that well
Haha I love hearing Yuka failing. And while she might have 'wheel flop issues', she definitely rides a bike 10 times better than me!
So inspiring to watch you two! I Like your storytelling approach🙌
Her attitude is amazing!!
Was that step up at 0:26 bumblebee? On Vancouver island
Yuka is my spirit animal
My main takeaway from this video is that Yuka's a frickin warrior
broke my arm this year after landing sideways after a jump. just got better but still far from complete recovery. Hope 2022 will be better for us all. cheers
The noises yuka makes 😂🤪✅ greatings from Holland 🇳🇱

Yuka is my hero!
It's not a BCpov or Van Girl Yuka video without a few "OH MY GAWD" and "OH YUKA-CHA"
Had two hard crashes last year. One ended up in hospital. But thankfully nothing was broken. Other was a high speed crash. Overshot a jump. I think some wider handlebars may suit Yuka, possibly stopping some wheel flopping issues.
she might be doing this on purpose in fear to crash futher down the trail though
6 stitches in my knee about a week ago on a decent log drop, this makes me feel a bit better. Yuka is very tough 👍👍👍
Yuka straight sends it!🤘🏻
Broke(crushed) my collarbone this year. 😂
Yuka got some nice one liners 😂
I think Yuka is the person who has more confidence than skill. Don't get me wrong i like her and her videos, but you know (-: It's more like a compliment

Great videos! What chest rig do you have for the GoPro??
The audio of Yuka 🤣🤣 Keep sending Yuka!!!
I'm jealous of Yuka's crashing ability. I had 1 proper crash where my body left the bike last year, landed on my hand and I've been off the bike since (2 months now). Very jealous.

I love seeing Yuka ride
Amazing video.

Thanks for the entertainment!
I came here for the Yuka sound affects... and wasn't dissapointed!
Hope next year will be a better year for ya’ll!
Yuka is such a badass...! You guys need to come to Austin...we need to ride!
I'm amazed how yuka gets straight back up after a crash
Taking it like a champ guys! 👍 been a great year

i love yuka haha shes so fun
Yuka has that true grit. No pun intended.
With this being said I can't wait to meet a Youka out in the trails. But my last ride of the season here in Oregon I fell & tore my MCL & fractured my tibia🥺
learnt alot when the hill is too steep and need to stop but cant look for trees they will stop you thanks yuka
The blooper reel we all needed
Your wife and her running commentary are brilliant 😂
Oh my gaaah... I love it... Can see the sale advertisement, when she gets a new bike "Barely ridden Bronson, almost new, no crashs, no bikepark". 🤣😂
YUKA IS THE BEST! 😜
Im a rider who rarely(luckily) crashes but when I do it really hurts...
Love this video, it shows nothing can stop us from riding our mtbs hehe
Nice vid. I'm off the bike for a month now after hurting my wrist. Still painful but will need to go out riding soon.
Also, talking about cows - they look harmless but they can kill, so always take them seriously.

🤣yukas noises are very entertaining. Feels like I'm watching an anime 😂
