As someone who never played this game until now, I'm kinda glad the visuals didn't change much. It has such a nostalgic feel and I've never played this game. It really makes me think of god of war 2 somehow
Another good tip if you play a non magic character. Carry a fire staff in your inventory. Doesn't have to be powerful or fancy. But there are some passages (usually blocked by webs, will be shown this in the tutorial) that can only be opened with fire.
there are skill trainers for every skill and they dont disapear when you reset your skills so if you really want to and have massive amounts of money you can max them out but every time you reset skills it costs more
Combine might/sorcery to unlock the healing spell which can turn you into a self sufficient warrior that way you dont need to relly on health potions as much. Also another tip to new players is that it's very much so in your favor to have two different types of wepons for your primary and secondary. As doing so when you string combos together will increase the amount of reckoning points you get from combat allowing you to use it more often. Also blacksmithing can be really useful as it allows you to make some op broken gear if you max it out.
It needs to be rank 10 PLUS a bunch of the best components otherwise you just waste components on inferior gear. If u use a gem on that gear it's gone forever whereas with sagecrafting you can just keep adding your best gems to gear and when better gear comes just remove it. The only OP gear from blacksmithing imo is damaging rivets/bindings/grips. For example two of the above at say 14% each giving you an extra 28% plus the 7% from rank 10 BS giving you 35% damage on every piece of gear. Nothing else you use matters except for the gem...but as I said if u use pristine gems on a crafted gear using weak/greater etc components its gone forever. You could say that just using a lambent or cloudy version in the meantime will suffice but you could have still used those to make pristine later so you kind of have to make gear without gems (whcih nerfs BS a bit obviously) until the very end when you have flawless components
You dont earn "so much gold" without mercantile. Mercantile is very useful, especially because it synergizes the best with the best skill Detect Hidden. It also synergizes with a drawback you pointed out about the inventory space. Here I'll elaborate... 1) everytime your inventory gets full if you destroy items you lose potential gold. With mercantile you get 15% and 30% back. Of course you can just fast travel when on the world map but not inside a dungeon where you will most likely see the inventory full messages. Besides constantly fast travelling cause of a full inventory so you don't waste loot kinda kills immersion 2) everytime you sell all that loot you find (from detect hidden or otherwise) it will sell for more gold, and everything you buy will be cheaper too These two skills are the best early on. Once you are late game just respec and put mercantile at the lowest because when you have 15 million gold its useless Dispelling will obviously help here too because that's even more loot. At the very least remove the dark sigils (4). Sagecrafting and selling the gems can give more gold too but I wouldn't recommend this because you actually need the shards to make the best gems later
Yes, and also to make a good start of mercantile at the very beginning of the game, we should definitely do Nanny Hanry's side quest at Gorhart. Once complete whenever you sell anything to Nanny you'll get much more gold compared to other merchants, which makes making money faster specially when you've just started the game; good thing this is still possible in the remaster.
3:23 this isn't true All loot in the remaster is generated when you enter that zone. Save scumming in front of the chest won't give different results. If thats what the original did then what's the change?
I just got a copy of this game and I didn't get everything in my special delivery chest! What's needed to do this? No potion of experience, lots of armor and weapons missing. Please advise, I'm very disappointed. TIA for your response 🙂
Just got the game and was hooked immediately! Love the combat and the RPG parts are not to overwhelming. Finally something to take me away from DS3 while waiting on my Ps5 and Elden Ring. A 10 year old game😂😂👍👌🤷🏼♂️
Im loving this game so far, not super far into it, but been running lots of side/faction quests. I gotta ask though, are abilities meant to be weak? Maybe I haven't been buying all the right upgrades, but in my Might/Magic build swinging my Greatsword is doing as much or more damage than Quake or the lightning spell. I haven't heavily invested in either's upgraded version, but my max upgraded base Quake is only dealing 70ish while GS is 79-100ish
Alot of your special skills are used for buffers between your regular attacks. They cause stun and you can use them to cancel attacks . That's all I really use them for
Abilities are for effects, weapons are for raw damage. My pure warrior build focused on harpoon to quickly close distance and quale for mob control/area denial. It's best to chain abilities together or use in between attacks, don't rely on them as sole.means of offense.
The sorcery abilities are damn near overpowered. I haven't experimented much, but a might sorcery build with maxed out sagecrafting and blacksmithing is disgustingly powerful, especially in the early game.
If you can ignore how dated it looks and sometimes feel, it’s pretty fun. But then again I’m bored with RDO and nothing better to play. 🤷🏼♂️ Excited for the new expansion though!
i have been looking for classic rpg fantasy game like fable for my ps4, love the classic graphic, the problem i hate about this game is the game loading is too long for 2012 remaster game when going in and out house. hopefully they patch this by the time i finish Ghost of Tsushima.(this game is very huge with fast loading when travelling)
I have heard their are quite a few bugs on PS4, the infamous disapearing enemy bug along with frequent crashes in certain areas. I loved it on PC and want to play on PS4 but the bugs i mentioned make me apprehensive. Have these issues been fixed with the 1.04 patch? I need to know so i dont buy a broken game
I've been playing for about 10 hours and I've crashed exactly once. I haven't noticed any disappearing enemies either, although I have seen a couple buggy/stretched textures. Overall it seems fairly stable.
Dwarfs/Hobbits are in the game and we're in the original. They generally reside down in Detyre but you can find two in the opening cutscene, and one in a shop in the opening town.
I thought Fable Anniversary was a near useless "upgrade" but i mean dang. . . i have the original on steam. I see no reason to get this version. Great game though, just a shame they didn't add to it proper, like new races, abilities, better graphics. This just looks the same and it's like 30 extra gigs of space. Lame. Thankfully this game doesn't need much to be awesome, and this re-launch was effective at bringing in newbies. So that's cool. So now where the heck is the sequel!?
@@Tdot_7866 well magic is the flashiest, with big ass aoe attacks, a soldier that heals you, and the chakrams which are just lovely. This game was way before it's time. Deserves more recognition, so damn good.
Considering the developers didn't have some or all of the original code base, I'd say we should just be thankful for what they were able to do.
