This game was criminally underrated and underappreciated i still play it to this day it a lot of fun especially the combat and pretty charming game lore wise
Yes yes but was it's replayability like? Beyond good/evil decisions is there a reason to run around in the world?
Are there physics to play with?
I guess I was spoiled by Dragon’s Dogma, because Kingdoms of Amalur combat feels clunky and unpolished in comparison.
Interesting that Dragon’s Dogma and Kingdoms of Amalur came out the same year.
It was actually liked and sold quite well. It's just the makers of it spent so much money that they needed it to be a massive hit to make it back.
Yeah but its sad how the sequel got cancelled. I was so hyped
@@lolotrololo2275 dragon dogma was a blast favorite class was mystic knight also really looking forward to the 2nd one which is confirmed
I always found the stealth-kill animations for the gnomes hilarious. The way your character tosses them around before impaling them with a dagger as big as they are just cracks me up.
Honestly the stealth kill animations in general were pretty funny. Whenever I wanted to demo some new daggers I found I always was amused by how overkill (no pun intended) my character would go on the unsuspecting victim
"She-Elf" when fighting a troll: Look at him, he's just standing there! Kevduit help please!
Kevduit when fighting a troll: Look at her, she's just standing there! She-elf help please!
Kingdoms of Amalur is so underrated. I love playing this game for the quests, environments, and lore. It's so cool to see others play the game.
Indeed, it is. I'm currently playing it and I'm pretty much ignoring the main story for now just doing side quests. I got to level 30 just by doing that. Wish the crafting wasn't so reliant on random chance though.
@Metalhead Madman , that always annoyed me, too. My favorite questline is for the Travelers faction.
Mainly GoW hack-and-slash gameplay, but yeah.
Would want more if possible.
About fuckin time. People seriously need to hear about this game more.
most definitely it is so good it made up my childhood at 8
Just now seeing it. I'll have to check it out. Looks like a far more refined Fable
This gave me vampire masquerade vibes
@@MCLefka you will enjoy it get the re reckoning version with the new fatesworn dlc also it got about 50hr to 150hr worth of content it is a blast to play
I long for a KoA 2
One of the best RPGs I've ever played. Played it when it first came out on my 360, stealth build all the way. Not that I actually used stealth much, I just used it to lay an incredible number of traps then unstealth and watch the enemies play themselves.
😄 i went for the all 3 build jack of all trades universalist during my 1st 2 plays
I can only assume it was also the first RPG you'd ever played if it was one of the best. >__>
Reminds me of when I saw someone saying Ys Origins was the best JRPG they'd ever seen... I can only assume they are polling from a very small sample size.
Mine was Warlock and Battlemage, mostly.
Warlock's Poison Dash, Battlemage's Teleport Dash, and Mage's Ice Dash are definitely cool features.
@@planescapedwhat are some of the best rpgs
NPC : "What brings you to Adessa ?"
Kevduit : " That's none of your business."
NPC : " When you are within our walls, then it is entirely our business. I would suggest that you don't make that mistake again"
Kevduit : "and then I took it personally"
Also Kevduit : Kills NPC
My wife played this. She put over 200 hours into it and did everything. I was very surprised that such an enormous game with such high production value wasn't more of a hit.
I like that he did pretty much all the same shit I remember doing, just killing anyone or anything in this was fun for me
Shame that there weren't any children in the game, cuz we all know that they need to die first. xD
Funny thing is there is nothing else to do. People who truly played this game for hours know there ain't much to do other than what Kev just did🤣 great game tho.
@@ONI-GAMI True, you mostly just follow all the quests until end and then nothing. New DLC was nice tho, but i still wish that they would also made a sequel.
@@graven6102 At least the story along with all the side and faction quests take a long time to complete. I’m 72 hours in and just started klurikon.
Him batting the dwarf through the window was comedy gold
Those are gnomes the dwarves on this game's universe are sailors and pirates that lives on islands only.
Would do a playable Gnome and Dvergan/ Dwarf race, if this game ever has a sequel.
On the other hand you get to Fateshift Gnomes the most hilarious way.
Yes! Kevduit did it! Such an underrated game.
Honestly seeing you play this game warmed my heart. I remember being so young playing this game, I had no one to connect with about it. I love this game it's super underrated.
Your comments on this make me giggle. 😂
Kevduit: Everything went quiet
Everyone: You batted that man into oblivion
FINALLY I've been waiting sooo long for this😉🤣
I just got to replay this game when the remastered went on sale. Forgot how much of a gem this game was
Can kev go 5 minutes without turning into a literal psychopath in a game 😂
Apparently not. 😆
Nah, that's half the fun. 👍😁
Nope but like the guy above me said that's just half the fun
This game was so good!
I don't think I've ever been so excited to see someone play a game. This was one of mine and my brother's favorite game and for the past couple of years we've been trying to remember or find this game to no avail. And as a new viewer on this channel this is genuinely one of the best days of my life 😂
"I have every quest in the game but I'm just ignoring them" compared to me who hasn't even finished the second main story quest yet has done over 20 side quests and is in an entirely different region than the game wants me to be....guess we're just different like that
fucking love this game especially with the recent dlc, love how the story starts as you being a fate less alloying you to choose the fate of many and I meant many factions from marrying a evil queen to rule over a faction to becoming a high ranking war-sworn leader
You missed the epic assassination tutorial moment.
Also the Agarth dualogue:
-You must be drunk...
-That, I am...
13:29
She elf was just "training you" as you did earlier, ya know, returning the favor.
Ah kingdom of amalur, some of my friends call it the discount Fable and they aren’t wrong but also it slaps in its own way.
Gorgeous art-direction.
This game was actually so much fun 🔥
16:09 he reacted like he just saw Soap dead for the first time
I sheet you not, I just played this game today after like 3 years of not touching it and then I get a notification from you about this. I didn't know you were a mind reader
One of my favourite games of all time , I used to play this when I was a teen.
I caught you playing this live on-stream one day and it caused my to start another playthrough of KoA:RR, this time in order to complete everything possible. Much love! Great gem of a game
My favorite RPG of all time. If only we had gotten the MMO version, I believe it would have been amazing.
Holy, i remember playing this game on my Xbox 360 when i was a kid. I forgot the name of the game and tried to remember it for years but after seeing Kev's thumbnail i just had a stroke.
Shiiiiit, it's been like ten years since I played this game, but FUCK, it feels good to see Agarth and Alyn again.
I remember playing this way back when I was in middle school/high school. Is still one of my favorite games and RPGs to this day. Loved playing the remaster and the new dlc. Glad it's getting more attention
Chakrams + Great/long sword is a blast with a battlemage.
underrated af, love this game
and it's crime system reminds me of Skyrim so it's great, there are also guilds and stuff too
I had lost this game for so long, I forgot this existed, I used to love this game, I got all the memories of it rushing back just by the intro
I still love this game, every aspect of it. From the start were u're struggling to survive, rt up til the end where ure a walking, talking apocalypse lmao, u're only concern, is the coolest way to kill this mob and what weapon combo to use doing it
Found this game randomly on the ps3, absolutely loved it and then could never remember it’s name. Thought the whole thing was a fever dream til I found it on steam a few weeks back. Have never bought a game so fast!
"did you break your legs jumping to those conclusion ?" has to be the best retort I've ever heard !
YES IVE FINALLY FOUND THR GAME FROM MY CHILDHOOD I FORGOT THE NAME OF. HOLY SHIT I DONT THINK YOU GUYS UNDERSTAND HOW HUGE THIS IS
The game isnt bad, but the initial idea for it to be an MMO really shines through. The remaster does help a bit but like 95% of the choices you make do nothing, maybe you get a different item or a different perk (if its a faction choice) but story wise most everything goes the same. Combat can be fun though. Never tried going full Murder hobo in the game so maybe I'll try that next.
" Did you break your legs jumping from those conclusions, dude?!"
I am ded xD
I love your vids, Kev
You’re funny. That’s all I had to say. Plenty of UA-cam personalities try to be funny, but you’re actually funny.
hey thanks! appreciate that
Now i think we live in a simulation due to me downloading Kingdoms of Amalur 2 days before this
I have had vague memories of this game for years and it has been bugging me I couldn't remember the name. I loved this game. Now I have to play it again.
best submission ever, using the gnome's body as a baseball and throwing it at the window hahahahaha
"Mom, can we get Fable?"
"We have Fable at home."
Fable at home:
I loved this game even though I never got passed the first area, ever. Every time I tried to get into this game I ended up making a character, and simply killing everyone in the village. Then doing it again and again. I never got passed that.
Lol now here's a game I thought I'd never see on kevs channel
I think the Flaming elf was Esbern from Skyrim actor
idk who or when i watched someone play this but it was gold
Oh my, I remember this game, it's so nostalgic.
A friend of mine showed me this game months ago, i couldn’t remember the name for the life of me, but I remember really enjoying this game
I got it for free on my PS5, and was like. Why not and ended up enjoying it a lot more than I expected.
Love the video!
This is one my favorite games of all time
Such a great game.
So GOOD.
Playing this on the switch and LOVEING it♥️
I got this for free from my PSN sub not too long ago. Seriously fun gameplay loop, and the voice acting is pretty good too! I played a warrior mage who wore heavy armor, summoned chain lightning, and blinked around with a great-hammer. This game has definitely aged super well
My favorite part was the achievement i got for talking to someone without clothes on lol
I am glad to see what the "kill-everything-and-everyone-that-looks-in-my-general-direction" route does 😂 never took that route personally, might do it next time I play this game
Damn I miss this game so much. I was one of the only people that liked this game when it came out for PS3 and xbox360. It really was a great game and pretty long too.
Try to dagger sneak-attack a spider bro.
It's the most hilarious shit I've ever heard from this game lmao
Please do more of this the game it just keeps going and its all a acid trip
Okay, years of playing, never saw that friendly little Brownie XD
the dialogue options are incredible
I really like mages and assassins in this game. Doing casual 12.000 dmg with meteor or 500.000 dmg with backstabs is nice. (looking up speedruns really helps if you wanna be op in games as i learnt that you can buy straight dmg boosting crafting materials in the arena. So thats why aoe meteor can kill anything in the right continent, but even 2h after beginning of the game you can have like 4k attacks and over 100.000 backstabs if you want.). Its from memory but i remember basically one shotting everything (and being unkillable when i played my first char fully fighter. Though mages and rouges are more fun in this game for me.).
"bye then"
edit: "wow, did you break your legs jumping from those conclusions, dude?"
amazing.
I love this game so much, so glad kev could check it out
That gnome execution was something else...
How have I not heard of you before?! You're hilarious. And all thanks to a random Skyrim fb group post where someone asked for similar games, and me searching the game on UA-cam
This game is really good. It would be cool if more stuff was added (relationships with characters, mounts maybe, pets that'll actually follow you, etc) but it's very nice. I have a lot of hours in it and don't regret them at all. I also found you through this so that's cool!
This game is my childhood.
That game shouldn’t have a game breaking npc that’s supposed to be invincible but you can still kill him with a rubber mallet if you hit him enough times. To this day I’ve never finished that game.
I wanted to recommend this game to u long ago . it came out on ps3 about 7 years ago im glad your finally playing it. i played mage. by far my favorite class the main story is a bit short but the lore and the dlcs are worth it
I still think the reckoning mode is one of the best "rage" modes in gaming
I KNOW RIGHT
this game is fucking AMAZING
"He was f-able." Quote of the year right there. :D
I just started playing this on 2023 love 💘 it
For anyone wondering why so few people have even heard of this game, it's because it had to compete with Skyrim.
True, but it's way funnier at times, especially with how this guy is playing it. 😆
After playing this game for months I have now started the main quest. One of my favorite progression and gear systems
Kevduit "it's the she elf"
Me "you mean the Shelf?"
Amazing vid, but not enough ppl talk about how this game almost bankrupt the entire state of Rhode Island because the dev team included a famous former MLB player, funniest thing to look up
I beat this game recently. Its good
1:18. I'll take "Names that haven't aged well" for a thousand, Alex.
11:02
Oh hey, it’s that guy from Skyrim.
God damn it, I should have watched this while drunk. The jokes would have hit 100% harder than you hit that spacebar.
The absolute disrespect on that last dwarf kill. Jesus Christ.
Game is great, it left fans with a cliff hanger ending and even with the new content the game still feels like it could've offered more.
For what it was, not a bad game at all.
With that being said this game can't be compared to other RPGs, it was backed by an athlete who happened to like RPG games thus tried to make his own.
He sunk almost everything into this project because of his love of games, but messed up when he partnered with EA...
@@stryletz and the state, ended up owing so much to the state and gaming companies that he lost it all, A sad story really.
Still own the 360 version I love this game
I bought this game years ago on Steam and I'm finally getting around to playing it. I'm about 2 hours in and already loving it.
Literally playing the game as I saw this video lmao great freaking game
*brother Egan speaks* Me: Cullen...? Commander noodle hair is that really you?
This game slapped, I still lay it all these years later.
dude I want to watch more of this. It's like Fable, but more insane
Very underrated game! Glad you discovered it. Oh and hey...great vid :)
That was amazing. And fun. Great content bud. Also i find few good games trough you😀
This is one of my favorite rpgs to date. I just love the world and how versatile the combat is. Chakrams were my preferred weapon since they were both close-quarters and ranged, and I would also use magic.
I tried so hard to get into it but I couldn't I love the art style and world but I get easily overwhelmed with quests am I approaching it wrong?
Been playing it since it came out. The DLC are stellar too.
*That's funny, you didn't help her fight so she didn't help you in the next fight 🤣🤣🤣🤣*
one of my all time favorites.
