Technically elder scrolls V is not an RPG. It uses rpg elements but it's not an RPG. Your not playing a specific roll in elder scrolls your playing all roles.Second there only a few times in the game you make any decision on a situation and even than those decisions don't effect any outcome based on your decision. Even game developers are forgetting or losing sight what makes an RPG and to many games are being labeled as an RPG when in fact they are not. Now kingdoms of amular is most definitely an RPG because every situation involves a decision and whatever decision you make determines an outcome from that decision and the character you choose you build around that specific character. That's what makes a roll playing game and elder scrolls V does not have the core elements that make an RPG an RPG they just borrow some RPG elements. Example character progression a lot of people argue that makes an RPG an RPG but that's stupid because there are many games that don't even borrow any rpg elements that do involve progression and clearly are not RPG games. What this video should've added was that you get great gear no matter what your class is, as you can use most of it to salvage for great blacksmithing components that CAN be used for your class. You might still need a core piece, but it usually provides everything else for some type of armor or weapon you're using. For instance, salvaging a might class based weapon like the hammer, will also provide you with a shaft for a sorcerer class staff.
