Thanks Stan. I have always thought that Schrade produced their best knives in the 70's and 80's. And this one with those backsprings is definately the best of those (in my opinion). Take care Stan 🙏
Good for you! Ain’t she sweet! I got lucky this past summer and found a 25OT in that sort of well-preserved condition. Not quite the find that you made, but it sure made me happy😉👍
Congratulation Buddy! That's a beautiful acquisition, made all the more special by it's personal value to you. I also love Schrade knives. I only have a handful of them but they remind me of my childhood, as do the Boyscout camp knives and the Buck 110. The ones we used when we were young, or just younger, are special (at least to me).
@@johnelder4273 Thanks for watching!!! I know what you mean, I still have the 1st knife I bought in 1963. It is wore out but I still love it 😀 😍 Take care John 🙏
I found a grail , not as nice .. but as you say whenever you see one it’s four times as much.. or you can buy four knives… and it was the LB two.. I always just wanted that miniature LB8. No rational reason. Dad had a collection of the last year Schrade that he bought out from a hardware store… and it wasn’t like an LB two was in it or should’ve been in it. I’m an old Camillus usa first. But once in a while I’ll pick up a mint something ‘plan Jane ‘ Schrade. ( but this featured knife of yours ‘WOW’).
I hate to admit it as a Schrade collector but the only LB I have is the LB-7. I have a couple of LB-8's on my watch list and was adding it to my collection until I found this Barlow ... Will get my LB-8 next payday 😄😄
I was able to snag a lb8 nickle silver boosters some time back when nobody was watchin… ,,,I love the nickel silver🤯… There’s a used one on eBay now that there’s a bidding war … I’m wondering how that’s going to end… looks like more than a couple guys want it. It’s at $85 with 4 hours to go😳. This is a used lb8 ! It will be interesting what it ends up to be sold for.
@@Jimthechevywheelman If you like Nickel Silver Bolsters take a look at the vintage Queen "Paul Revere" Rawhide series. That knife has a great cut-out for the index finger which gives the knife a really great look to it.
Beautiful piece. I could see myself seeing this as a grail piece. Thanks for sharing and have a blessed day.

I can see why you went bonkers for that knife.👍👍
The 1st time I saw it I knew I would own one some day. With those backsprings it is definitely the best Schrade had to offer.
