THE reason you shouldn't use sprays is because they contain an ingredient that helps to destroy the non-stick coating on the baskets. That's what iv'e heard. really enjoy all your air-fryer videos.

Great recipe as always. To your question re: how to get things to bind, I find grinding up a bit of rice as part of the recipe works well.
You're correct on the mixture using your hands being African-American we have a saying when things are made so good and taste so well we say you put your foot in it and put using your hands is a way of showing love that mean that you put your all into it so I love it when you injected that into year mixture and you're directions you actually put your love into it

Can they be baked in oven btw have air fryer.mode in my oven does that work? I use mock crab pollack fish.
I never heard that you shouldn't use oil spray. I do use it and never had any issues.
Watching my weight so I'm going to try this recipe this weekend but will use pork rinds instead of Panko.

Can we use crab from a can
I have heard that the aerosol version of the olive oil can damage the non-stick coating of the fryer. Also, that olive can smoke at higher temps and Avo oil is recommended in the fryer. Not sure how accurate.
I have heard similar comments. Just in case, and to have a little more control, I use Avocado oil, but the Misto sprayer. It is a non-aerosol sprayer that you pump up by hand (10 or so pumps) and then only air pumps out whatever oil you are using
I’ve heard that the oil on the basket or non stick pans can get partly polymerized which causes sticking.

I've ALWAYS read/heard NOT to use aerosols in an air fryer.
I ASSUME the propellants have an adverse affect on the non-stick finish.
The use of olive oil per se is not the problem, it’s the aerosols used … they will make the basket eventually burn and chip with use per AF experts…I purchased a manual sprayer for my olive and avocado oils…just for my own peace of mind…

Hmmmm, I'm thinking this would be a good recipe for Salmon Patties in the air fryer. Just use canned salmon instead of crab. I like to remove skin and bones from the canned salmon.
