PRO TIP: I don't understand why everyone just dumps in the seasonings separately. Always mix/whisk together dry ingredients first. THEN add the mix & blend - For ALL recipes folks! This ensures that all the ingredients are distributed evenly.

You are correct. You can either add oil to a non aerosol sprayer or use a basting brush and lightly brush the oil onto your food and the basket. I use a brush.
Yes, it angered me to find that the cooking spray ruined my air fryer basket! Now I’m using air fryer filters until I find a replacement basket. I’m about to use this recipe for my chicken thighs tonight, though. Looks delicious. 😊 Just subscribed.
I used the grocery seasoned thighs and with some of the Ingredients you mentioned. It turned out to be so crispy and delicious! The internal part was so juicy!
*I actually did these last night with a slight variation to the seasonings and they turned out so good my wife wants me to do them again tonight, They're currently in the Air Fryer. Only thing I did different was to NOT add any Kosher Salt, plus I did add Panko Japanese Bread crumbs, and 1/2 tsp of poultry seasoning. I look at a recipe as a suggestion and this one is Fantastic*

Wouldn't it make more sense to pre-mix all the dry ingredients before adding to the chicken thighs, therefore ensuring even distribution? Also, I'm a little surprised there's no ground black pepper in the ingredients.
Yes, all she needed to do was add each ingredient to the bag first, shake it up, then add the chicken thighs. I would automatically add some black pepper to that mix as well 😊
Just made this today. I added black pepper to my spices and added an extra half more amount of the spices. Since I had 6 pieces of thighs. This was very good and u will definitely be making it again. Thank you for sharing 😋
Jennifer, FYI: Never use aerosol spray cans in your air fryer. Aerosol spray cans (like Pam and similar brands) are known to cause chipping in many Air Fryer baskets. The aerosol cans have harsh agents that just don't mesh with the coating on most baskets. It's best to invest in a good quality oil mister or bottle.
Why are u spraying the basket it's cold stuff going onto a heated basket it will congeal! Coat the food not the basket ...if u cook a steak always oil the meat not the pan same applies to what your doing.

I mixed the seasons in a bowl, then shook them over the chicken thighs in a Tupperware container. I put the lid on the container and shook. Using tongs, I put the chicken into my air fryer. I followed your temperature and timing directions. Though I used boneless, skinless thighs, they came out great: moist, with terrific flavor.
I did this recipe for my birthday today 8/11/24 I cooked a lot more chicken and my family loved the taste of chicken in the air fryer . I cooked about 14 pieces of chicken. Thank you for sharing this recipe.

It has been recommended that you don't use canned oil sprays in the air fryer... bad for the interior coating. use a mister/sprayer instead you put your fav high-temp-burn oil into. just a tip here! Thanks for the easy recipe!

Everyone is thrilled with that chicken, skin or no skin. (p.s. it does have plenty of cholesterol, but they feel so much better skipping the skin) … I eat some of the skin, pass that crispy goodness to my eating partner, and chow down!

I made a pint jar of seasoning for my air fry chicken. If I want to experiment with a different Spice or herb , I put my mixed mix in a bag , add the next ingred I want to try. Put chkn in. Shake it up. I’ve seen cooks spray the chkn with the oil or butter then put it in the bag of seasoning you have ready. I added bread crumbs this time but didn’t like the texture of the bread crumbs when done. Maybe panko would have been better. Im all about experimenting. But hers looked great.

I’m on a crash diet so I bought the boneless skinless thighs. Even though I didn’t have the skin, I had all the nubs and they were similar to a chicken wing. Very good.

I just finished making chicken thighs but my chicken didn't seem to be cooked enough and a little rubbery. The internal temperature was 160f so maybe next time I will leave they in a little longer. But I also didn't warm the air fryer up for 5 minutes so maybe that was the problem.
These were fantastic and very easy. Thanks for the video. I would use a good thermometer instead of going by the timer though. Mine came to 165°F in much less time than yours did.
Hey fellow carnivores!! Put about 2Tbs of butter during the preheating… and add any of the seasonings you feel comfortable using. (I used them all minus onion powder) Definitely leave ALL the skin on and enjoy!! These are amazing. I have never liked chicken thighs. These I will eat at least once a week 🙌🏻
I know it sounds like a contradiction but do this but season with Montreal steak seasoning, did this when didn’t have any spices and man it’s turned out better…

I read that the canned spray will eventually take off the non-stick coating. It was recommended to wipe oil on the grill.

Ever since I stopped using cooking spray on my nonstick pans, I have no problem with the non stick coating coming off. That is completely true.

Could i apply oil to a paper towel and wipe the basket that way?

If you're cooking these in the air fryer add 1/4 tsp of baking powder it'll really intensity the crispy . Mmmm 😁

My daughter just brought me a air fryer for a early father's day gift. I burnt food twice. I wanna try your chicken thigh recipe cause everyone is cooking wings.
I just finished making chicken thighs but my chicken didn't seem to be cooked enough and a little rubbery. The internal temperature was 160f so maybe next time I will leave they in a little longer. But I also didn't warm the air fryer up for 5 minutes so maybe that was the problem.

These were fantastic and very easy. Thanks for the video. I would use a good thermometer instead of going by the timer though. Mine came to 165°F in much less time than yours did.
It really doesn't matter since chicken thighs don't overcook as easily as breast

Yeah I found 16 minutes at 400 flipping half way , check temp , chicken is around 175
Times and temps were perfect. I used a chilli, cumin, garlic, curry concoction.
Hey fellow carnivores!! Put about 2Tbs of butter during the preheating… and add any of the seasonings you feel comfortable using. (I used them all minus onion powder) Definitely leave ALL the skin on and enjoy!! These are amazing. I have never liked chicken thighs. These I will eat at least once a week 🙌🏻
I know it sounds like a contradiction but do this but season with Montreal steak seasoning, did this when didn’t have any spices and man it’s turned out better…
I don't know never have tried it that way but just alone in the seasonings that you're saying is another if you go to the grocery stores another $10 $12 might as well just flour flower them sticking in my cast iron skillet and fry them, maybe 20 minutes longer
Most people have these seasonings on hand because they like to season their food. The jars have multiple servings enough for several recipes.

Did you know that most ovens with a convection bake setting is the same as an air fryer.

Can you cook chicken thighs in one of those paper containers that sit inside the air fryer? Instead of spraying inside, maybe to help it be easier to clean later?
