I had the ME80 for years! Gigged with it weekly and loved it! Just upgraded to the ME90 and love it as well!

One thing that I really like about the ME-90 is that it kind of pushes you in a direction that's logical and makes sense. You can't really tweak the signal chain order, but the effects are already laid out in a very logical way, and it removes the need to try to guess which effects should go where. That's a huge advantage to it, and makes it a lot easier to try to dial in if you aren't the kind of person who likes to try to menu dive.
The biggest thing I wish that this unit improved upon is the EQ though. It's good enough to get perfectly usable tones out of, but I find myself often getting relatively close to the tone I want and then being unable to dial it in perfectly. It's easily the biggest weakness on what is otherwise a fantastic unit.

I agree. Customization does not always bring good things. Sometimes restrictions help us to concentrate on playing.

I agree I wish it had better EQ control to make the drives less harsh sounding.

Are there any limitations to "how many" effects (features) can be run simultaneously on this unit?
Also, does this unit have any type of "noise suppression" feature included in it, or would I need a separate pedal for that purpose (when running the 'distortion or 'dirty' type effects)??

I’ve put about 6 months into using the ME-90 as my first experience with pedals. It’s a great intro in manual mode. What’s a chorus sound like? Turn the selector, engage the foot switch, and twist a few knobs. A gateway drug. I use the 4 cable method into my amp (Boss has a good article on this) to use my amp’s preamp rather than the models and then get the mods at the end of the chain. Before landing on this, I was looking at buying a few pedals based on no experience and that would have cost me three to five times as much.

This is in regards to you saying that you felt you needed to use tone studio to edit your sounds. I had the boss ME 50 for many years and then after that, the boss ME 80 for many years and now I’ve had the ME90 for about a year and I never used Tone Studio. I think this product is aimed at the musician who has some experience with individual pedals and knows how to quickly dial in a sound on an overdrive ,delay, etc. and doesn’t want to deal with the expense and hassle of individual pedals.

so I would only ADD THIS, a digital 10 band EQ on the input once tweaked works very similar to BOSS STUDIO ir's. when playing live. I the sutdio where the guitar is isolated, maybe then you will want to use the online platform. But live is where I concentrate on the entertaining of the crown and keeping the bartender in the $$$. I they are not selling drinks and getting tips... The manager will get a call as well as the booker. by by income.

I have the same feeling with the me90b for bass. My main grasp is also the fact that you need to hook it up to a pc or download the app to access the extra fx. But for the money, not bad at all, condidering that for bass there are not a lot of options unless you want to spend more.

The only thing I missed from the ME80 is the long delay time, 8seconds, which was allowing frippertronics. The longest delay on the me90 is only 800ms 😭

I TOTALLY disagree with your assertion that it's not beginner friendly...it's quite the opposite actually. Yes, I'm a gigging musician. I have a Helix, and choose to use this BECAUSE of its ease of use

Hey buddy! And that's the beauty of it! It's all personal right? I even said in the video that I wasn't expecting it to confuse me but unfortunately that's what it did. Personally I just found I spent a bit too much time dialing it in when compared to similar products (I didn't have that issue with the gt-1 for example) As I said it really depends on personal use. There are no definitive statements here. Or need to write in capital letters 😂. Thanks for your comment buddy

I really love the effects in the ME90 especially the rotary, univibe, and chorus.. but i haven't had any luck getting a drive tone i like. No matter the setting, all the drives sound very uneven, and/or harsh and high mid focused. No worries though i have tons of drives i DO like and just use the ME90 effects.

There are a lot of presets for the beginner to use before they learn how to set up a patch

I disagree. The fact is Does NOT have a screen is a HUGE plus. This unit is very simple to use, even for a beginner. Touch screen is not always better. I really like mine.
