I just sold my last pedal today, an MXR Duke Of Tone, to GC and bought one of these pieces of Boss goodness. Im so tired of individual pedal board set ups. So much fiddling between sets. AHH!!! The ME-90 simplifies everything without sacrificing anything. At least for my needs (small bar gigs and whatnot). I never realized how much I love the Tera Echo + "Klon" Centa vibe, super sweet with a JB in a Strat. Believe it or not, Im running this board into an ancient Marshall MG250DFX 2x12 combo. Straight in the front, clean channel: gain at 2, bass at 1, mids at 1, treble at 9. FDD switch on (somewhat emulates a tube like response). And if I switch on one of the amps effects , the whole rig goes stereo.. and ... WOW!!
Love my ME-90. To those planning on buying this multieffects unit, don't rely on the built-in presets because they sound really bad. Download external IR's and create your own patches. That's where the gold comes in.
I got this pedalboard 2 months ago…and I’m very happy of that. I would like to use this on stage directly into a mixer. I’m afraid that my tones (Made with hairphones) won’t be the same through the speakers. This is the tipical situation when you use digital pedalboards
It might only be the eq or some gain adjustments needed for the PA use vs headphones so don’t sweat it! Would love to have you subscribe if you’re not already!
I’ve had the ME-80 for years and loved it! I was super excited when the ME-90 was released and bought it from Sweetwater. It arrived and man, it sounded so digital compared to the more analogue sound of the old 80. I liked having the Bluetooth module and a few of the new pedals like the Clon but overall, it didn’t sound as natural. After a month, I took advantage of Sweetwater’s return policy and sent it all back. I jammed with my ME-80 tonight. I am very disappointed.
Hello there! Thank you for this review! Can you give me your opinion on Boss's COSM vs AIRD tech. Can you , as a player feel the difference in how it responds to your playing dynamics? I want to understand if there is considerable difference between boss GT1 (COSM) and Boss ME-90 (AIRD), in how it responds to your playing..

Anyhoo I've been playing guitar for many moons and I've never used any gear or pedals of anykind ..I don't know what I'd be getting myself into even trying it all looks so busy all these buttons and shenanigans but idk maybe I need to get myself into some of this Cuz it really really sounds good

When installing the Boss Bt Dual on my ME 90, only the midi drive was recognized. My phone is an IPhone 14 and the application worked perfectly but I can't stream audio through the device. Any tips on how to solve this problem?

Interesting- I have not tried the 80. I do like the high gain sounds on this way more that my Katana, which I sold.

I’ve never interacted with COSM or at least not since my Roland digital recorder 20 years ago

I haven’t spent as much time with the GE250 but it the biggest difference is operating and workflow. The Boss may have the better overall sound.
Too many multi-FX pedals available for my brain to process. I’m permanently stuck with analysis paralysis now.
As crazy as all the knobs are, menus are worse for analysis paralysis 🤓
