Dude best video I’ve seen for this! Thank you!!!!
Thanks Shane. Standby, because we’re deep diving into the ME90 and will have more videos up soon.
woww.nice sounds and review!.. thnxx❤
Man, I love those drive tones! That's a great piece of gear. Huge BOSS fan and this is why. Love it. The wah sound is pretty legit too! Do you find the tones comparable to the Katana? Super demo brother thanks!
Thanks Chip! I’m going to deep dive into this with the Boss Tone central software and do sone comparisons with the Katana. I’ve updated the ME90 firmware and have loaded some IR’s into it as well. Standby!
how did her turn on the expression pedal?
She pushed her foot down.
Are the hardwired presets on this model any better than, or organized any more rationally than, they are on the ME-80 (which had terrible hardwired presets, and even worse organization of those presents into banks)?
Dude how have you got it connected to your amp? How would you set it up to gig?
Hi Bruce. For this video, it is direct into the computer recording interface- no amp. I will use it this way to gig as well. I’m doing more videos and will plug into a variety of amp as well.
That’s a big pedal, would you gig it?
I would!!
Because this is designed to replace pedal boards it's actually quite small and light.
I love it ❤It basically has all the individual boss effects there are
Good job buddy
Thanks 👍
Boss iR2 or Boss Me 90 only amp&cab ?
Mine died after a week bedroom use ?
Oh crap!!! That’s terrible! Take it back!!!
Hi
Do the presets have names?
Are they modelled after tones, artists?
Thanks
Mike from NZ.
Hi Mike. I’ll go through the presets again, using the Boss Tone Studio software so we can see the names etc. Stay tuned!
Glad you did this video demonstration of the boss unit, but it seems like it is somewhat limited with the over kill of distorted tones occupying the majority of the presets it seems like they only think or only want to sell to people who play either a rock or heavily distorted style of music, this seems a little ludicrous to me I hope you can come up with some good presets for all around playing. Thank you.
Standby Carlton! We’re diving deep into this pedal and you won’t be disappointed. Clean and edge of break up tones are really good.
Not that I disagree with u . But when have u ever played a quitar and didnt add some type of drive to it . (Even mildly) although the other tones in this pedal worked great . Took mine out of the box and used on the fly on a three hour gig tonight . Yes there were surprises but I’m beyond satisfied with it after upgrading from a me-50 that I’ve used for 15 years . Intuitive simple and great tones easily found .
I have one of these and they're trash. They sound nothing like the youtube videos everyone posts. Total waste of money and complete trash
C’mon mate! You need to try harder! This thing is awesome and perfect for old fellas like my that still love to turn knobs…
Then you must have it set up wrong, I don’t think anyone on UA-cam is having you on lol. Mine took me a bit of tweaking as I have it straight into the front of my amp and it is bloody awesome.
You need to hook it up to a computer and go to the output settings. Therre you'll find like 8 or 9 different settings to accommodate your amp. Makes a big difference. Also. I found the presets sound best when running it through the front of the amp. And before all the haters start bashing. Im aware the 4 cable method should be best. And it should be. But it isn't and that is a flaw of the unit. It wont allow you to turn of the cab ir of the me90 when running into an amp.(there's a lot of threads about this on line) for me, my amp I only use for clean sounds so running in the front works fine. If I wanted to use gain of my amp things would get messy. I use only clean. And I know very well this is not logical with presets because they're getting amped twice. But it seems boss has accommodated for this in the settings. Not sure . Anyway. After hours and hours of experimenting and reading up, I've found the preamp sound best through the front of an amp. At least mine.(Frender Princeton 650)
It should sound fine through computer ir pa system. But you must set the switch in the back to "line" rather than "amp".
Logic would tell that if you go straight into the power amp in in the back, it would sound best as you're bypassing the power ampnof the amp. Even still in my opinion the preamps sound best with it hooked up in front. I'm certain every amp would tell a different story though.. long story short, don't give up too soon. I was gonna give up on it myself. Now I really love it.
