The media screen blocks the view of rear view mirror. Smart rear view mirror is not even a upgrade option until you upgrade to Limited. This is a big overlook by Toyota. Not sure how can they miss such a basic safety aspect.
The tv is more important than safety

I'm not a salesman or anything but the mirror changes from reflective view to digital (camera) view with a simple button. Otherwise they wouldn't have been able to add that!

Am I the only one who thinks this rear entertainment system SUCKS?! How would I have a laptop or tablet sitting on the floor of my backseat and expect to be able to control it? My 2 small children can’t help so it’s useless!! I want a good old fashioned DVD player back!!! 😩😩😩
Get an firestick or roku and plug it in.
IT SUCKS!!! I WISH I COULD go back and not get it! I’ve tried a smal dvd player and it skipped and was in the way and a big pain. The hdmi worked only half the time. I tried fire stick and it takes forever to get it to connect- you have you stream from your phones wireless hotspot which is patchy- or use the $25 a month wireless from the van. Both of which my fire stick never can find and connect to. My kids get frustrated. I’m frustrated and it takes forever. The dvd player used to just turn right back on when we got into the van. This is android Miracast only, nothing apple. It sucks it sucks it sucks!! I’m so frustrated
A blueray dvd player would have fixed this, but well

@@thepcuser5469exactly. We used to own a ‘13 sienna with a dvd player and now we have all these DVDS with no use since the new siennas don’t have a dvd player.
we had the hard decision of NOT going with OEM toyota system and getting aftermarket. Plus tablet tech is always evolving

LOL what a waste of a $5K upgrade, but there's a SUCKER born every minute..you can get 4 Fire HD 10 Tablets 10.1" 1080p full HD display and 32 GB of internal storage that can do WAY MORE than this built in screen system plus all 4 can be had for a measly $660!! That way each passenger middle or back seat can have THEIR OWN entertainment screen and hang it on the back of the headrests! Only a sucker will opt for this overpriced upgrade plus with the savings you'll be able to buy state of the art headphones and still have $$ thousands of $$ left in your pocket.
