I use fallen branches as plant poles for most of my plants, they are free and honestly, it's what your plants would grow up in nature anyway. It works incredibly well and looks so good (at least in my opinion)

I extended my tree fern fibre pole by hammering a thin steel rod into the middle and pushed another tree fern pole onto that. It was easy to do.

I just love you! I used to live in Michigan City, but we moved back to Washington state. I brought my plants from here to there and they suffered so bad, but recovered and thrived. Then we moved back with them and they are suffering again 😭 and taking longer to recover. I have so many more new ones tough because i see all your and want them. I lobe to rescue them from walmart mostly, but also i look in home depot and lowes on occation. My kids love to "help" with them too, they enjoy it alot. Thank you for making your videos and telling us what and how to care and use for our plants. I love you! ❤❤

I bought a “moss pole” for my Swiss cheese plant and yeah…it was coconut coir, NOT moss. My plant is climbing it so it works great for support but not for watering. I’ll keep my eye out for something better.

Try the Lazy poles, they still require watering and usually don't look as good unless you seak out a proffessionally made one, but they're a lot sturdier and easier to care fore than your usual pole or totem.
Plus, you can use whatever substrate you want inside, even soil if you wanted to.

I ended up making a pole. I got powder coated metal mesh and a thin pvc pipe from Home Depot/Lowe’s. I zip tied the mesh into a tube, put the pvc in the middle and stuffed sphagnum moss into the pole. The pvc keeps the 5’ tall pole upright and in the pot. If I do it again, I’ll plug the bottom of the pvc and drill some tiny holes along the sides to use to water the moss directly. I’ll do that the next time my nepenthes tries to eat the ceiling.

This is SO HELPFUL! I used a pretty branch from outside to sculpt the syngonium tendrils around and it’s so cute. I’ve got old wire hangers that I’m thinking would make a cool shapable hoop or trellis.

Have not gotten into the video yet-still on ads-but I needed this yesterday.😩 I cracked and finally put some plants on moss poles (mixed a little pon in since I’ve had great success with rooting plants in moss w/pon). I put a nylon rope through the center for watering..we’ll see how this goes.
Also def. gonna grab some tree fern to play with.

I have two medium sized monsters, one of them I am trying to let it kind of free form, with just small bamboo sticks so no stems break. The other one I am trying to angle all the leaves one direction, and I wasn't in a situation to buy a moth pole or a cedar plank because I listen to you lol. So I searched around my neighborhood and found three very sturdy stick tree branches and took off all the little bits and pieces. And then so I didn't have to worry about rot I put the monstera in a round pot with plenty of drainage and then put the round pot into a square decorative pot, and put the sticks in The decorative pot. It makes watering kind of a chore, because I have to undo everything and pull it out and water it in my tub. But they are both looking beautiful. And I thank you for all of your advice. I am even starting my own little propagation boxes, and bottles. So thank you so much for all of your information and the fun you put into your videos. Even though my husband gets frustrated when I'm like oh wop it's plant watering time (I can't use my right arm right now, so he had to help on anything heavy.) He loves your videos as well and find some very funny. We both love when you smell things 😂

I keep my plants in leca. I put my moss poles down into the leca with the moss touching the leca. When I water the plants I keep a reservoir of water at the bottom of the pot and the moss pole sucks up the water as needed. Super easy and super affective.

This reminded me to pull my adisonii out of the water bowl. It's held up with the sticks from my failed attempts at orchids. She got an impulse chop a few months ago because I want her to be huge. Got some good roots on the propagations and then a clearance one that got all the sad leaves cut and has plastic forks propping up the stems until the roots are good for them to be combined into a big pot.
My favorite place to propagate is the filters on my fish tanks! They grow fast!

We have a huge sycamore tree that regularly loses limbs. I use those for supports and the roots often do manage to cling to them well. However, I've had one rot off so now I am trying to find PVC pipe scraps to put them into until they clear the soil line. I am also using various pipes to put my bamboo poles in to reduce rot. (I have some giant bamboo and 2 smaller types so I have plenty for stakes!) I want a moss pole for my Manjoula pothos but I am afraid I will struggle to keep it moist , as you said. Also have to worry about fungus gnats with moss poles so I would need to constantly deal with that. But they are so gorgeous when they make the huge leaves!

I have a looong vine from my pothos that is now all of a sudden getting yellowing leaves after years of doing fine and is now bare between groups of leaves. I’m going to cut and prop but I don’t want to cut each leaf separately. How many leaves could I get away with having on the vine and putting in water and still make sure it doesn’t unalive slowly…. 2nd question! Do you have a video on how to wrap the plants like you did to the monstera?

For now it's a chopstick (accidentally got rid of it's stick tho due to mistake) but I know it needs more soon, and I also want it to grow aeral roots, it can't yet, but I wanna see them! I just don't know, I was thinking corkbark, like what you might use for reptiles, maybe misting so the plant grows roots all in the bark and stuff... But really tough!
